You have only seen one part of western Slovenia. But there is still a lot of beautiful things to see here, also in the eastern part of Slovenia. According to blogs, Slovenia is considered to be the most beautiful country in the world because, in addition to its beauty, it is also small but practical. You have everything at your fingertips

From Bovec drive to Mangart Saddle highest lying road in Slovenia.. Also visit Piran very beautiful coastal town especially watching the sunset thru castle walls…
I love how I find a travel youtuber and then years later he finds our small beautiful country and makes a video about it. Hope you liked it Karl. Cheers
I stayed in Slovenia for 11days! The country was so beautiful! Seriously I only went to Slovenia off of word of mouth when traveling in Italy and am I glad I did! Lake bled was breathtaking! I too flew my drone. sLOVEenia! Hope to be back soon!
I like how you stayed positive after the hotel mistake and the weather and still enjoyed the trip. But Slovenia is not beautiful just on the west end, it has beautiful spots all around.
I am officially impressed! Nicely filmed and edited (cinematographer speaking), with a right measure of relaxed and storytelling, without being annoying or ''influencery''. And pronounciation of the names! Someone really did his homework! Well done!
Been in Slovenia couple of times and man it’s been amazing. Missing that country so much 😢. Hopefully i can take my kids to see where I grew up and more of ex Yugoslavia ❤
Karl, I'm an old, Rhodesian, now a Canuckistani Brit who loves your travel logs. As I'm pretty much restricted to home, your product gives me the ability to revist old haunts, and learn about those I wish I'd visited in my youth. Thank you for taking me out of my living roon on a regular basis.
I visited your country during June a couple of years ago, and I found it fabulous, a real hidden gem, clean, cute, with a lot of nice people and natural wonders. Slovenia is my favorite among the countries of the former Yugoslavia. You should be proud and consider yourself lucky.
You guys were lucky to get on that gondola on Kanin mountain because they closed it later last year and now it's permanently closed. Also the bus never showing up is so typical, happens way too often here, but I'm really glad you had so much fun.
this was such a wonderfull video im glad you guys enjoyed my country and i love that you drank Zlatorog the whole way through respect and safe travels !! :D
This documentary captures the beauty of Slovenia so well! From the stunning landscapes to the rich culture, it’s a must-visit destination. Great work, Karl Watson!
I´m planning my first interrail trip and Slovenia is the one what I wait the most. Your documentary made my waiting even harder :D So beautiful country full of wonders. Thank you so much for this document :) I really hope that weather in septemper is sunny
Traveled there with my best friend who's part Slovenian. We climed Triglav on the most demanding route. It was such a good time and love Slovenia, loved to see you enjoy it as well!
Where the landscapes are so stunning, even the mountains might be considering a career in postcard modeling! I have heard so many good things about this country and it almost got hit when the last time I throw a dart. Hopefully, one of these days, I would get to experience it, too!
He's only gone and done it again! Cracking work as always mate, can't wait for the next one. The shot of Paddy and James together there is about the best thing I've seen on the internet this week.
Hi Karl, I’m Carl. Your films are so amazing and so inspiring, I’ve decided the World is definitely big enough for both Karl’s with a K and Carl’s with a C ❤❤👊🏼👊🏼
I can't believe how good your videos are! The music, editing and cinematography is something I love about this channel. Every time I watch one of your videos I'm just saying "wow look at that" and I press PrtScn to use as screensavers😮
I went in October 2023 and thought it was amazing. Fun fact the restaurant you had Bled cake in, is the same place Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson ate at when they filmed The Grand Tour 😊
Been thinking about Slovenia lately and saw your video so I checked it out and I really enjoyed it! It was such a well done video that it was exciting to watch. Thanks for a terrific experience. Best wishes!
That randim hotel in the woods is Pokljuka nordic center ;) If you wanted exciting white water rafting you shoud go rafting on Soca river in Soca valley.
Great video! We were there a month later after the massive floods. Turned out to be one of our favorite countries so far for travel and adventure, it's so full of surprises. Funny that you were diverted to the Hotel Center up in Pokljuka. That's a hugely popular trailhead and the starting point of our trek up into Triglav National Park. We also ate at the same restaurant in Lake Bled, amazing meal with a beautiful view. Looking forward to you Patagonia videos!
@@obliviousm This is old news now, we were there in August. But, there were small pockets of devastation which we encountered twice. Once on the roads up to Logar Valley and once on the way to Velika Planina, very small mountain valley roads running along rivers. Both were impassable so we had to turn around and make alternate plans. We wanted to stop and help as the rivers had just washed away bridges and houses were full of mud, but the locals and emergency crews were hard at work making progress on fixing things and we probably would have been in the way. This was only in the north, the rest of the country was beautiful and had no issues. Watching the news, it looked like neighboring countries were helping a great deal which was really nice to see. But if you're considering traveling there, absolutely do it...Slovenia is a beautiful country and full of surprises!
@@obliviousmmost of the country was really devestated but Triglav national park wasnt affected as much as most other regions. Also international aid really pulled through and with whole of Slovenia working 24/7 to save and repair what they could, at least the main infrastructure was up and running somewhat soon
Excellent film Karl! You are great at the Buttons. The punchline or phrase at the end of a scene - that propels you into the next scene with anticipation.
My Slovenia is, like you said, the green hart of Europe. There is so much more to see and experience. ;) Great video! 🤩 You should take rafting in Bovec as well. It is much more fun to raft in Soča river. 😉
Went with my husband in April. It was beautiful but very misty and rainy. Bled was cool though, very lord of the rings-esque. Also rainy days were great because pubs were so cheap we would just get drenched and then get smashed 😂
awesome cinematography - love the drone shots and colors. That looks like it was a very nice trip. It's not a country I'd have had on my list, but I'm probably gonna add it now :)
Happy you ejojed Slovenija...you should go to the coast and Vipava valley and Brda region... the best food and the best wine in the world... Grat video..
You did an awesome job of capturing all the beauty of Slovenia. I'll be traveling there in a few months to explore this lovely country. I understand that the cable car at Kanin was shut down. If anyone is reading this post could let me know I would appreciate it. Good luck with your future travel from across the pond
Hope everyone enjoys the film!

I recommend the escape castle game at Ljubljana castle ;) It costs 16€ and includes the entrance to the castle - the latter costs 12€ anyways.
