My spouse has the patreon account so I have to comment here. We bought a pair after we seen them in your and other videos. We have the new material and it is just as tough but stays smooth on the seat after a year of dust and used for fulltime travel. So no wear on fold lines so far. Good to see you back! We vlog for fun and I know how much time it takes, but some of your outback cine-vlogs were next level. Your new octa will be a good tool for that. Greetings from a lookout point in Chichester State forest and we might meet you one day at an overland show. Cheers Monica and Stephen
Great to hear Stephen. I heard from another Patron that they had changed their canvas. Hopefully they'll keep on going years of adventures. Yes, thanks. The "travel films" are exhausting as one man to shoot all the angles. Was just experimenting last night with some 4-6k footage and high bitrates and it powers through most of it.... considering upgrading my camera gear to 4k now.
have to get a pair for the troopy.I went past you Brett when i was heading towards St George from Charlotte Plains Station a while back, pre covid lockdown. You were heading west,
Good morning Brett, doing my email and you popped up. We survived the storm here on the Mornington Peninsula yesterday. I didn’t realise how much we relied on electricity, until we had to go without for a few hours. Camping is not for the faint hearted. I love the bush when I camp with friends. I’ll be no good doing it on my own that’s for sure. I admire and have a lot of respect for you doing this solo. Your videos are awesome 👏👏👏 Happy to see you back 🤙
Thanks Barbara. I remember once as a teen, we lost electricity for over 1 week. Trying to live in a house with flashlights and using the BBQ to cook meals and an esky for the fridge was an experience. Bear in mind I had no tv, computer or video games back then either. We're all so reliant now.

Retrim kits from companies like Exmoor Trim are pretty cheap. The big benefit of additional covers is for if you get the seats wet or muddy, where the covers can be quickly removed once you are dry or clean. There is little point in permanent covers - they often cost more than the retrim kits.
I also want to add that I’m pleased to see you posting again, Brett. I hope you have plenty to write about again soon as the various governments down there pull their heads out of their backsides.
Any chance you can get your hands on a current production set to compare if build quality has changed in 12 years? I'm in the market for a set for my county
Doubtful Chris.. I have been told by a subscriber that they have changed their fabric in the last 7 years, so there may be some differences. Otherwise search around for recent reviews of newer model covers.
SO good to see you back Brett, hope you get out on the tracks soon mate !
Nice to see you back
That's a hell of a good field test.
Good to see you're back!
Nice to finally see another vid Brett. Looking forward to seeing more vids.
I just checked out Habi-Tec and they look professional and dedicated.

Thanks Warren and Colleen!

These are great seat covers. I’ve got a set in my 4wd. They’re 191,000km and over 6 years old and still look basically new.

Welcome back Bret, looking forward to your videos. What’s happening with you? More trips planned?
no definite plans as of yet.
I have black duck covers in my 76 cruiser, tough as old boots 💪
I am glad u are doing videos again
Are u still living in rocky or moved back to brissie
Still working round Rocky for now. Can't really travel yet.
@@RoamingTheOutback OK awesome I wish I was travelling
If u ever come back to brissie
I would be great to meet up with u
A good comparison between drivers and passenger seats. A bit of Milton's on the drivers side should sort that out..
video anda sangat bagus dan mempunyai mesej yang luas terima kasih
Good to have you back have you considered swapping the drivers with the passengers they’ll probably out live the landie then ✌️

You could swap the drivers seat over with the passenger seat to extend the life of them.
You should swap the covers over
Swap the passenger and drivers covers over. Another 7 years easy.
Easy, just swap the seat bases!
