- A quick jaunt to Venice, and then on to Milan. Meaningful job? Not really. Ending up with massive amounts of profit? Not exactly. Looks like the historic canal-based city you've visited? Totes.

The random conversation with Madam Google about islands was just gold! 🤣
I did think the Colonel was less geographically-challenged re larger islands of Europe. I know there's that relatively unknown one to the north west of France, but other than that........
In my own defense I've never known, nor have I needed to. Even now, still no need. They don't interfere with me, so I don't interfere with them.
@@colonelfailure To be honest I'm a geography nerd, so probably shouldn't speak...
@@colonelfailure makes sense
It activated my google home and it correctly answered the question when he asked the first time :D
I've been driving in the American truck sim thing. I'm a bit wonky with the steering and I only slightly bashed into the car in front which then proceeded to cause a pile-up of cars ahead of it. It wasn't my fault. When I finally delivered the bulldozer they took a few grand off my payment!! You've got your bulldozer what's the problem I said. They said they rather hoped it would be in one piece. There was nothing said about how many pieces it arrived in I said, plus I'm sure you can put it back together - superglue works wonders in such situations!
Love your random conversations, it's always a joy to watch your videos. Love Jeff as well.
Thank you for keeping the coconut milk flowing Colonel!
“Joy’s gone out the window, and she’s taken the TV remote with her” - so evocative 😂
Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle.
Those sound proof fences capture the true essence of Venice.
Employ a herbert, and do odd jobs until you have enough to buy another truck.
You have to spend a fortune to buy or upgrade a garage before you can do that sadly.
Monetary punishment for avoiding sleeping is consistent with the real world situation, as the truckers are only allowed a limited amount of time behind the wheel before requiring rest.
Yes but how do they check that?
Totally true, but truckers aren't fitted with a fatigue detector.
@@PuncakeLena Tacho card. I am IRL trucker
@@PuncakeLena The truckers are supposed to keep a log. They write on their log beginning and ending locations, time you started, time you got there. Then they are supposed to take a certain period of rest depending on how many hours they have driven. Not only is it a fine, but you can lose your operating license over it.
@@colonelfailure It is a thing in real life though, and they had to determine a way to simulate it in the game. If you don't like the system, you can turn it off in the options. A real thing is always stopping for a billion weigh stations along the way to your route and being open for investigations of your log books and safety standards, but that isn't in this game. You might get a weighing station every once in a blue moon in this game.
Agghh! Porto-Vecchio was in the islands you wanted to go to!!!
I was shouting at the screen and you didn't listen!
G'won Colonel. Get the high explosive and nuclear waste licences. Absolutely nothing could go wrong...
The "traffic karma/calmer" joke at 20:20 was a great highlight for me, personally
(5:05) "By doing it correctly, Joy's gone out the window." How true, in more ways than one. Live a little closer to that line between enjoyment and safety. :-)
I've found myself screaming "ITS CORSICA!!!!! at the cat
I'm not actually sure it was Corsica or Sardinia he was referring to, or whether he was interpreting it as a single island (the ETS map is not particularly clear I think)
I officially look forward to this series every week now this is the greatest thing ever 😂
The sad thing is this representation of Venice is quite accurate: if you are a truck driver and you had to delivery in Venice, you would not go past Mestre, that is a heavily industrial district on the shores of the venetian lagoon. Mestre looks actually worst than the game’s portrayal of Venice
"See me looking both ways there?".... Immediately crashes into a car. Absolute CF gold!!
Venice HAS a train station with high speed trains, what it might be hard to find is TGVs 😂
I've been trying not to shout at the video, today I failed 😂. It is where the job is! All part of the jollies 😂
I have found "Road rage" is a thing in this game.. got fined twice in the space of a few feet ( I was slowing down at the time too) so when the police car went to drive past I pushed him/them into the fence. best 400 eur I have ever spent.. lol... Thanks for the video Colonel.
Drive properly? This channel ain't no Colonel Correctly, sonny jim bob!
I believe the Tarzan that you are remembering was the TV series from the late 1960s starring Ron Ely. Unk. Ungawa!
i was driving along a nice A road, when some prick merged into the road and drove right into me. and i got the bloody fine. stupid game.
yep had that happen to me a few times as well, it's a really stupid game which since only I just bought the game have spent about 20 hours on (in 2days) so that makes me stupid too lol.
"And how did you crash your mini?"
"Well I was driving along the road and this bloody truck pulled out on my side of the road without any warning!" 😂😂
Bloody amateurs, always thinking they are some kind of professional 😂
Another awesome video Colonel.
You add a level of enjoyment that many many others have not one clue on how to do it. Great series.
I too remember this movie where the boys yells 'UNK' to an elephant to get it to move.I half remember it being a animated movie, and half remembering it to be a movie like Ace Ventura When Nature Calls...
I'm sure Johnny Weissmuller used Unk Tantor (go elephant) in the black and white films.
Or Ron Ely on television (1966 to 1968, so in syndication in the 70s).
You can zoom in on the GPS with the F5 button on the keyboard. Not sure what that would be on a steering wheel since I don't use one. I often zoom in when I am near my end location in a crowded city. There is also a camera angle you can use that makes it look like you are looking out your driver's side window toward the back of your truck to help you reverse.
Oh, it was Corsica 😂
I assume the Tarzan cartoon was Tarzan Lord Of the Jungle the intro is on TH-cam no full episodes in English though. Found the 1st episode on daily motion.
Agreed, released on CBS (USA) 1976-1979. I think the reason Colonel Failure can't find much about it online is "the series is not owned by Universal Television, and the rights are owned by the Edgar Rice Burroughs company" per the Wikipedia page.
33:25 Google hasn't been on the ball in quite sometime. I remember when I'd type in virtually anything and the first three websites were basically spot on. Now (let's say I'm searching for an obscure CD) I'll get like ten websites that don't sell the flipping thing but for some reason they mentioned the band. Don't even get me started about how impossible it is to find artistic references these days...
Google... was once amazing. Now it makes Ask Jeeves look good.
Ah, a reminder at the end of why I never go to Milan in this game. The road network is annoying with that beltway being the only option to get around.
So driving sensible is rolling Cannonball Run style instead of Mad Max style, got it.
There's a fine line, I'll admit.
Love this series!
Some lovely comedic timing with that loan installment payment
You'd be correct in that your garage needs an upgrade before you'd have room to hire a second driver. 400k should be just about enough to get that done though! Just a word of warning with used trucks and AI drivers though as they are apparently picky with their truck's condition. It seems like you'll want to either buy them a new truck or a 5 star used truck because you'll end up overspending on repairs to get the ai drivers to actually use their truck.
Is 'Villco' the Italian version of our Wilko 😂
On-gawa!
Remind me not to speed in Italy. Those were some hefty fines!
My giddy ant.
Malta's such a tiddler it's not even on the map 31:40
I don't eat octopus not because they have the intelligence specifically of a six year old, but they have enough intelligence for their brethren to exact vengeance on me and my descendants.
Also, it looks gross.
Boric acid = brassic. Foreshadowing.
Va-Va-Voooo .. cough, splutter, larf .. The art and mastery of Failure .. Righto, off we go. Technikdurchvorsprungenheitigkeit? Si, si, signore, presto pesto pronto! Yey! ;o)
I love that Google offers a "Translate to English" function for this comment, and yet it only makes it worse

Hit a MINI? Oh, the humanity.
The huminity? 😘
Fashion design.....hmmmm... well you could try and search "barbie fashion games"........you might find sumin pink that tickles your fancy.
😜🤣🤣
The one thing I really wish this game had was an end of financial year statement which stated amount earned , costs eg fuel/ fines paid/ ferry fares etc. I have only had the game a short time does anyone know if this is the case?
whatever happened to '9 your fine 10 you're mine'?
Do they really put the traffic lights over the entrance to intersections so someone stopped there can't see them? Seems a bit daft, doesn't it?
Aren't we all subscribed already?
Most.
Colonel telepass you are not supposed to stop😅 maybe slowdown that is all
o7
Are you going to play soviets again???
Nope.
What have the italians ever done for us... so their language must not be butchered? You also never stop butchering your german, and you shouldn't 😀
Go to a second tier football match involving an Italian immigrant-based team in Australia, and every opposition player is a "Butcher" apparently...
It's less about the way you drive and more the guff you talk. People might watch you drive proper for the reason people watch those videos of things being squeezed or extruded. but... if it leads to a dulling of the mind and a deterioration of the commentary, forget it.
Yes I remember the tarzan cartoon
