Colonel, you reverse a space truck better than you do a terrestrial truck. You are just a man too early for your intended time. A 24th century man, stuck here in the 21st century.
The colonel read a manual? Don't be daft man, frantic switch flipping and random button mashing produces far more accurate results. Read, pft, You think this is a library or something? :)
@@captainufo4587 Yeah, there's plenty of "directing arrows", but we Humans aren't always the brightest bunch, no matter HOW smart we like to think we are. That being said, I had a bear of a time finding the Grav Comp during the demo at first Edit: spelling mistake ^-^
So much in this game to have a merry misadventure. Colonel make sure to wing every doodad and flip ever whatchamacallit. For a real adventure fly without the driver assist on.
When I saw the title i thought here is Colonel Failure playing Star Citizen. But it would not make sense. You don’t need to fail there, game does that for you. Nice episode btw. Was missing something like that 😅. Euro truck sim doesnt hit the same. 👍
I can see the Colonel dozing off and instead of crashing into a barrier, buggering up the truck, crashing into a planet buggering up the planet...and truck.
Ohhhhh yes the outros are finally back! I really like the look of this game! Truck simulator without the long drive element, so you're really only shunting around cities and towns. Looks like great fun!
Who else wishes there was a BTS editing camera angle in the end outtake showing the moment CF saw the sign for the gravity control when editing the video? Looks like a good game, and since its on all axises (up, down, left, right, roll, tilt), I am sure we are going to have a much more thrilling time watching. Looking forward to the comment " trucks broken"... Or in this case, its more likely going to be "hull breach" or "there's a hole in me truck".
Look kids! Hes playing a Flight Sim !! Ah, the Colonel has a Busybox to play with!. So many buttons and levers and slidey things!! I think the point of the Suit is to... well... Not be used, by Not attempting to occupy the same space-time as other solid objects.
As I started watching this, I was reminded that your biggest complaint about train driving games is that they're on rails, and limit your freedom of choice. Trucks were better, because you got two dimensions. This now comes with another 50% more dimensions! I anticipate at least 50% more hijinx as a result.
One of the first things I do on any PC install is disable the sticky keys hotkey. It's nice that it's on by default for those that need it, but it clearly wasn't designed with gaming in mind.
Every developer who uses Shift as a main key in a game is just evil. 😂 Surprised me with the return of the Outro malarkey. Quite happy to see that back on occasion.
Not sure if you already encountered that off screen but flying without your gravity is gonna wreck all the components floating around, and they're pretty fragile in this game (at least they were freakishly fragile in the demo)
Brilliant looking game Colonel. I'll be waiting for you to use the Cross Channel Hyperspace and forget to start driving on the other side of the Interspace Highway...
Hey, since you are Hauling in Space, I guess a Yorkie (its not for girls) is probably inappropriate... Perhaps a Marsbar, or a Galaxy would be more appropriate for snacking?.
I wonder if it was foreshadowing, him getting the idea there and then or a mere coincident, when he talked about trucks and the axis of movement they posses and 7 or lag in one of the last ETS episodes.
1) If you don't use sticky keys, why don't you turn them off for good, for Pete's sake? 2) Why do devs always think I need a gorram campaign in my truck sim?

As soon as he said, "Remove UCC", I was like, "Oh. Oh no. Mans is about to have a bad time." Edit: Also, I love how it waits until AFTER you already make the mistake to tell you, "Hey, stupid! Don't do that!" lol
Everybody is complaining about controls. Only a few see that Its obviously made for Controllers. Very good to use with a little more modern input than a Keyboard 😉
Microsoft's idea of how humans work. My current favourite: OneDrive: We have noticed you just deleted a lot of files. Human: Yes I noticed that too. Because I DELETED THEM.
Every 21st-century computer game should have a GUI that lets you remap the keys! That's a staple in current video game riles. I thought every dev on the planet knew that nowadays.🙄
To be fair to the Devs, there are only two of them and the game is on day 2 of early access. Based on the reviews so far, it's not a mistake they'll make again.
'Don't pull off the sterry-wheel, Dad!' Mind you, those sneaky Kerbal Space scuttles look vicious, Boss. Honkkkkkkkk! And watch out for .. Gribblies ... Eeeeeeekkkkk! ;o)
The chattiness on the radio reminded me of the lonnnnnng rants that your fellow workers went on in hardspace shipbreaker. I hope it's not some similar endpoint. Not sure how much longevity something like this will have vs ETS/ATS since part of the charm is customizing your ride, and seeing what they've actually done with real-world locations and landmarks.
I think the balancing in the game even on normal mode for things like the power batteries need to be reduced. Fyi you can do a custom mode tho when you start to make things how you want it. Also can use controller with the game too.
Windows is like "you are running Windows, there must be something wrong with you!" :) Sticky keys can be turned off globally. But the fact that you have to do that on each and every PC is quite stupid.
Sticky keys are for accessibility, particularly for people who struggle or can't hold multiple keys at once. (Imagine trying to do Shift+Y if you only have one hand). It has to be on by default or people who need it might not be able to turn it on. I think newer versions of Windows ask about it during initial set up, though.
The second page in the manual, which you dismissed as telling you things you already know and turned to the third page, where you then exclaimed "Where is it? I know what it does!", began "Located under the lower stairs, ..." So not only is it labeled (which you pointed out when editing), but the manual that you insisted didn't tell you anything helpful told you exactly where to look.
Ah, welcome to Europa Truck Simulator....
I see what you did there and I appreciate you!
Colonel, you reverse a space truck better than you do a terrestrial truck.
You are just a man too early for your intended time. A 24th century man, stuck here in the 21st century.
I'm tempted to take it as a compliment. Tempted.
The real question though is can he put his head out the dog like a window while doing it?
Ooooohhhh, the post gameplay segment is back. I love these
Opens manual, briefly looks at pictures ignoring the weird squiggles below, closes manual unhappy with information provided. Classic Colonel.
Can't help but notice that the user manual both tells AND shows you where the gravity compensator is.
😂
Also the popup. Also the sign on the stairs.

21:40 "Where is the gravity compensator?!" he says as he scrolls right past it. 😆
Missed a golden opportunity to use the space truck horn sound as your bleep sound for this series Colonel.

Excellent video and the return of 'The Outro', normal service has resumed.

Ahh the return of the outro! About trucking time. Great videotronic entertainment. Back to your best colonel. SUBSCRIBE

All we need now is the Colonel and Steggs making Space Truck noises.
Excellent job sir, plus doing this without Jakes supervision too.
Can't wait to see your following adventure(s) :) haha.
hey this was fun, potential for a little mini series. outro is back :) appreciate the editing effort

Looks like a fun game, but my vertigo is going crazy.
The Colonel damaging a customers load in a trucking sim? Never, how preposterous.
Yeahhhhh, im going to need like 4 of these videos, with the option for more 😆
You're getting one more, with later instalments during early access.

Nice to see the outro back. I'd like to see controller and Hotas support.
I spent way too much time looking for the gravity access panel too when I played the demo of this some time ago.
It's very visible but only if you're looking at it. Given that you only face it when about to walk up the steps you never look at it.
If only the gravity compensator page of the manual clearly stated 'The system can be found under the lower stairs'. Oh, hang on...
Yup, I missed the small line of text because I was looking for a clue in the ruddy enormous graphic while endeavoring to continue the narrative.
