This thing sounds great! I ordered one but sent it back a week later. Their website advertises them as being "1 & 3/4 inches at the nut". They aren't. They're 1 &5/8 - a standard P-bass neck. 1/8th of an inch may not seem like a lot but it can make a world of difference for players with large hands like mine. If I'm going to pay $1300 for a bass, I expect it to at least have the specs it is advertised as having.
Sorry for being 5 years late but if you got a Steve Harris signature as your first bass I would cry out of jealousy since you don’t need a good bass as a beginner and is too much especially if your not sure you will like bass
@piercedbydave A MIM is not even in the same class as this bass. This bass is made in Japan. Japanese Fenders are among the best out there. Dont get me wrong, I have owned MIM Fenders and loved them. Then I stepped up to MIA's, then traded my MIA's for my Fender 75RI Jazz and Fender MM4. Both made in Japan. I do agree, they are expensive brand new, definately buy used.
I have the same bass but this is only the start,,,,you need good amp, good compressor, flat strings, and many time practise, every day I have and a light IBANEZ and FINALY i need and the 2 basses because Ibanez is very light and i make practise with this without to lost my energy
The Fender Steve Harris signature p bass is a pure tone machine and in Sparkle Blue with a mirror scratchplate its gotta tick the rock box !

Nothing more metal that having glitter in your bass
the bass more beautiful on the world!!!
whats that white bass in the background in the beginning? on the left side of the screen?
This bass gave me the idea of a mirror pickguard on mine :)
Do you still have this one?
Cool bass but It really should say "Maiden Japan" instead of "Made in Japan" on the back of the neck!
i want this bass so bad
I may want to buy your product. How do we set this up?
How tough are those heavy gauge flatwounds to play?
Should I try to get this for my 16th bday next year as my first bass?
