- Otto passed away on June 22, 2017, one year ago today. This video was filmed on June 5, 2017 after he was diagnosed with liver cancer. The vet said he had less than a month left to live, so Ashley and I made sure his final days were as fun as they could be. We did all of his favorite things. This video is an homage to the original Otto's Pineapple video. Otto loved pineapples!
Otto was my best friend and such a deep part of my personal and professional life. He and Egon are in most of my videos including many ZackScottGames outros. My first videos that actually got me started in my video career were Otto videos. In fact, my first TH-cam video was an Otto video way back in 2006. This video was edited in the same style as the previous ones.
This is a bit of an odd return to the ZackScott channel. I haven't posted a video here in years. Almost all of my efforts have been focused on ZackScottGames. But I really do miss this channel, and I miss those who were big supporters of my work here. Going through my archive today, I see just how important Otto was to not only me and this channel, but to you all. Thank you for your amazing and loving comments.
I would have uploaded this video sooner, but I needed a bit of an emotional break before going through the footage of his final days. I enjoyed my time with him and took as much video as I could. I feel like this makes for a good video because of how it relates to the original Otto's Pineapple video. Plus Otto was still in good spirits when it was filmed. I decided to upload it to the ZackScott channel to keep them in the same place. Thank you for watching!

I'm so sorry, Zack. My kitty passed away last year too...I can still remember the state she was in, and down to the date and time. It feels weird not having her, and my kitty is getting really old. After all, he's as old as I am, and he has issues too. Losing a loved one is really hard, but the sadness will go away. Plus, wouldn't he want to know that he made you all happy? And maybe adopting another would make him happy, knowing another kitty shares the open arms, if you are ready. At least he's in no more pain, now....

Zack i watched you since i was little of only 5 yrs old..... I saw otto and i thought I really wanted a cat. And thats how i started to love cats. You turned me into the gamer i am now and thd cat lover i am now and i would usually skip most outros of gaming channels. But not yours. Cuz of Otto. I miss him so much if feel so bad..... I also watched Zack ever since I was 4-5 too. He's what got me into being a TH-camr, and I can never thank him enough for that. I always loved Otto, not because he was in Zack's outro, but because of the funny moments him and Egon would give in his videos sometimes. It makes me sad to know he's gone, but happy because I know he's in a better place now.

This is one of those videos that feel more then just a video. It reminds me that these are shared memories. Shared moments in time. My eyes are just a camera.
I only started watching your videos years ago because of Otto. I absolutely loved him and made my family and friends watch his videos as well. It never took more than a few seconds for anyone to fall for him. He was a unique and wonderful cat. I have really missed these types of videos on your channel as well by the way, they always uplifted my spirits if I was having hard times throughout the years. I lost interest when you did more games stuff, I'll be honest. I just re-subscribed to watch some more of the old videos and then saw this and it made me really sad because I felt like I knew Otto and I remember watching him years and years ago now. Otto kind of does live on, though, through his great videos you've posted. Thank you for the laughs, cuteness and fun through the years!
I’m watching this 5 years later because one of my cats died recently. His name was Vinnie and he lived until he was at least 20 years old, he was an old cat that kept going and he was loved by everyone. He’s buried with all the other animals in my front yard to this very day. I miss him greatly. I currently have 4 cats as I’m typing this, and they are all in good health. 2 of them will be 11 in a few days.
And for Zach Scott, I remember seeing his channels as a kid, same with DaneBoe, Annoying Orange, Toby Turner, and many others I have seen. I am very lucky and grateful to be born in the early 2000s to see guys like them.(I was born in 2003)

Otto is in heaven, eating pineapples. I've been watching zack since I was four years old. And after all the videos that otto was in, it made me sad to hear that otto died of liver cancer. On April 11, 2006 (FOURTEEN YEARS AGO) zack uploaded his first video I wasnt even born yet when that video was posted, but I went back to zacks old videos and watched it and the video was zack playing with otto with his ball and zack threw the ball in the trash can and otto went inside the trash can to go get it lol😂. May otto rest in peace and eat pineapples he lived an awesome 13 years (2004-2017).

I know what it feels to lose a pet. I have a best friend called Natalie, and she had a little puppy called Jilly. We loved Jilly so much. Everyday after school, we fed her, played with her and even let her study with us sometimes. We got carried away with this until after 6 years, I went to Natalie's home and didn't see Jilly. I asked, "Where's Jilly?" After I asked, I started regretting it because she started crying. Then I just realised - she had passed away because we had fed her too much food she wasn't supposed to eat. The food wasn't for dogs and we didn't know. I was so heartbroken that when I got home, I slammed my bedroom door and I cried, trying to sleep. I dreamt of meeting Jilly in heaven and playing with her. Now everytime when I was about to sleep, I remember her, in my heart. Till' this day, I still remember her. I understand how you feel, and I got heartbroken even more. Otto was a good cat and everyone loved it. Please take good care and always remember to be grateful that you had a best friend and pet, in your family and heart.

I miss Otto dearly as well as I miss your videos Zack. I started watching your channel years ago before Zackscottgames had even started. Not to say I don't like that channel as well though. I remember when it started and I remember when Scottland began too. You were building that (rather impressive) staircase. But this original channel still holds a place for me that the games channel could never replace. The first video of yours I think I ever watched was one of the giant spider videos. Anyway I hope you're doing well since the passing of Otto and I hope you can find it in you to make more videos for this channel someday. Games are great, but it was always a treat just getting to see your regular everyday life. You're a good man Zip Masta Zack.
