We have this juicer, using organic produce very few things need peeling & just a good rinse off to clean then strain. We juice produce still damp. It has a small chute so cutting produce to fit is necessary. We do peel all citrus, ginger, tumeric... But this machine is a workhorse, we do enough of our favorite juice at one time for 2 people to last 72 hours, stored in glass jars in fridge with no separation & very little loss of nutrition. Simple to use and SO easy to clean. Highly recommend. The frozen fruit sorbet is 2nd most used function, delicious!!!
i totally agree with you about the prep and cleaning. My mom got this juicer a few years ago she used it a lot when she first got it, but since then she uses it a couple times a year because of the fact of the prep work and clean up time.
I have the Omega 8004, identical to 8006 just white, not chrome. You don't have to prep stuff so much. Apples, lemons, carrots don't need to be peeled at all. Just I just use a stiff brush to get the dirt off things like carrots. Oranges do need to be peeled because the oil in the skin isn't edible. Just use a vegetable peeler to get the zest off, the white pulp can stay. With celery, I just cut the bulb off the end, give them a quick rinse to get the dirt off, and juice. Stuff like apples need to be cut up small enough to fit in the juicer. I use one of those slicer/corers you can get for a buck. You're right though, even then it's still a lot of work. I take about an hour every few days and juice up a couple of quarts at a time. And, like you said, if you're not going to use it, don't buy it. They cost too much to sit around and collect dust.
I am glad that there is someone as honest as you to do these reviews I always feel better when the person says more than what you can see like how you said that the prep was way too long for a busy person
Good review Jack. I juiced a few years ago and bought a top of the line juicer and it worked great. But was a huge turnoff for me was all the prepping & cleaning. I paid $300 for my juicer and after the first few weeks, it sat on the shelf and collected dust because it was a hassle! I gave the juicer away to a co-worker and sure enough they agreed with me as I agree with you. Great product, but a TON of prepping and cleaning.
I have the Omega 8005. I got it from the Goodwill, brand new in the box. I paid 40 bucks for it. I love to make almond butter with it. But it's a PAIN to clean. Hey Jack, if you ever come to Southaven, Ms... Stop by our Goodwill. I've scored big there.
I appreciate your honesty, but y'all need to get used to more veggies in your life... and not fried or slathered with ranch or cheese! it's worth the time and dedication because you're investing in your health... that's priceless and worth the time in my opinion.
KoreanGuyWhiteGirl just cause I don't want to wash and peel for an hour for 1 cup of juice doesn't mean I can't make a salad in 5 min with the same veggies. Stop thinking because I am fat that I don't eat tons of veggies. My favorite is Brussels sprouts and asparagus.
Hey Jack Its nice to see you trying out this slow juicer. I love your shows and watch them every time you put a new video up. I know this is a side subject, but my mum actually lost 22 pounds in 3 weeks, living of this juice everyday with no other kinds of food.
not all peoples bodies can handle too much fibre. Some people find it has the opposite affect and helps cause indigestion and heartburn. This happens to alot of people. Juicing is a healthy way to detox and cleanse when people go intermittent fastings of different natures. There are plenty of other ways to get your fibre requirements. It depends on what works for the person. So many saying its Juicing is bad and others sayin its good. Thousands of people have been juicing for years and are absolutely healthy. Its perfectly fine.
ethankegley Nothing healthy about removing fiber from fruits and vegetables, and eating fructose filled water. I mean hell, it takes like 20 minutes to make a drink and clean the thing. Just eat an apple and an orange...
Swordthful unless you have issues with fiber.. 3 other people with crohns disease I know literally don't digest fiber at all and it exacerbates our issues.
I've always wanted a juicer. Just sounds refreshing to have something with out added sugars and what not in it to drink. I'm glad you did this review. I think I'll hold off on the idea of buying one myself. With all the work going into prepping the stuff to make a blend I can see why places that sell those types of drinks cost so much. Thanks for being honest about the product and how much effort goes into making the mixtures and probably the cost starts to add with that too.
I use the same green combo but I also add apples, pineapples and cucumbers. the flavor is just great. Everything you guys made will cleanse your kidneys, livers, colon, help you have healthy stools, lose weight quicker (which moderate exercise). Your skin tone will also glow more. They will help lower your A1C levels to prevent diabetes as well.
Jack I've done many months of research on juicers before I settled on the Tribest Slowstar. It's super slow with the lowest RPM, and had two ceramic blades. Man it's s beast. The one you got is better for leafy greens, where as the slow star is better for bigger fruits/vegies. But at least it's not the HIgh RPM ones that oxidize quickly and heat the juice.
I like your straight forward honest reviews from an average person with out any script or endorsement contract from the product manufacturer. You don't do this for any reimbursement. If those like "ethankegley" don't like it...Too bad, find another channel
Jack, have a look at the Vitamix or a Blendtec. They can do so much more than a juicer and they do it faster and cleaner. AND you can add ice cubes so you don't have to put the juice/smoothie in a fridge to get cold.
I always liked the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. Decent price and whats nice is it can take in hole fruits and vegies without having to cut them smaller and no peeling them either. The best part is its alot easier to clean then other juicers out there.I wouldn't mind seeing you do a review on that machine.
Jaaaack, part of doing reviews is reading the instructions -.- In order to do an objective review, you've got to make sure you are using the product EXACTLY as the manu intended. Just my thoughts.
Hey Jack I really enjoyed watching this video. I just bought an Omega 8006 Juicer today from Bed Bath & Beyond on sale for $229.99. I believe the regular price was 299.99. I have been looking for a healthy alternative to drinking coffee and sodas for energy and I think this Beet Boost high energy drink just might do the trick.
Jack, I am so with you on the green cleanse. I got a green juice at a place near me and I had to chug it with my nose pinched then rapidly eat gum. So wretched
What about the breville juicer? I've seen it in action , its more noisy than the one you reviewed, but I think you should give it a try, and give the community a honest perspective in regards to the Breville. Also ,keep the videos running, they're great!
I would much rather just eat my produce than juice it, it feels more filling (important if you're watching how much you eat), and you eat more of the fruit, rather than just the juice. Thanks for both the honest review and honest ending!
if you are going to juice a lot I would avoid omega juicers due to a problem with the juice screen breaking, every 1-2 years and it cost $15 shipping to get the replacement if still under warranty.
Hey Jack, Love your show. Have tried soo many different foods that you've had on your show. Your honest approach to your reviews are refreshing. Reason I am writing to you is I want to desperately by your gourmet seasoning but for some reason your site is not letting me. Can you tell me how I can possibly get your Bbq sauce and gourmet seasoning up here in ontario canada.?
I have a similar juice but not the same brand i have a problem with kiwis, mangos or anything of the same texture it seems to sometimes overflow when i push down with the tamper and not push pulp out properly does yours do this? any tips?
Wow the green one almost looked like it was radioactive. At least with juicing all the pulp stuff can go in the compost. But you do need to buy a lot of fruit/veg.
Good review, but I agree that it is pricey. I would probably try the jack lalanne juicer instead. Perhaps you could do a review on that one to compare? Assuming you can return it as well? But I don't juice either. I agree that it is too time consuming. Plus, I think there is just too much waste involved. I can eat everything that was juiced. All that stuff that came out, my body could have broken that down and got the nutrients out of that as well.
The Skinny Chef I had the jack lalanne juicer and gave it up, pain in the butt to clean everyday. I agree with the waste also, to little product for the amount of veggies and fruit you need. I bought a vitamix blender and now throw it in there and drink it up, no real prep work and a quick rinse and its clean.
Hi Jack first thanks to you and your family for the vid. and if you want to try a juicer without all the prep try the Kuvings whole food juicer. Its a stand up masticating juicer that just plows through the food with very and i mean very little prep.
Jack, do you think you'd be able to test a "Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer"? It would be interesting to see (and hear) how it stacks up against a "traditional" juicer like this one. Even though you said that juicing wasn't your thing, I'd enjoy a review of that product because your opinion is always honest. If you don't like something or the product just doesn't work, you tell us. EDIT: They also claim to not have you prepare your food items, you just put them in...
it has only one roller but angel juicer has 2 roller so that does the job masticating(twin gear) ... not this omega so i wud not buy this.. its cheaper but still not extract juice from the veg n fruit..
Hey Jack, besides the taste of the last drink, do you have any complaints about the juicer? Normally you say what you love and hate about your products but besides assembling it and the last smoothie. Was there any other complaints? Think the juicer is worth the price and what not? Thinking of buying one since I spend around $25 /week at my local juicing spot. Thanks again.
DarkSouljah My parents got a juicer that seemed way more efficient in grinding the ingredients, plus the juice and pulp collectors were integrated into the machine limiting spillage. This seemed to be struggling to grind and a 10/20 buck increase because it's stainless steel is a bad warning sign.
DarkSouljah oh no. The juicer is flawless. I believe I said that in the end. It's the highest rated and did a great job. I was the lazy one. It didn't fail me. I failed it. hahahaha
I really feel like it's a waste of money, for that price it should be able to grind everything up without having to prep it. It kind of loses the point of a juicer.
We have this juicer, using organic produce very few things need peeling & just a good rinse off to clean then strain. We juice produce still damp. What do you do with all the ground up fruit and veggies? I don't want to waste it. Can you put it in a smoothie then with almond milk?
tasbrat That's what I was thinking cuz I'll definitely do that !!!
You can use as fertilizer
i totally agree with you about the prep and cleaning. My mom got this juicer a few years ago she used it a lot when she first got it, but since then she uses it a couple times a year because of the fact of the prep work and clean up time.
Jack your wife had a awesome personality and I love videos that include you're family.
I love how much of a family show this is.
Makes me happy.
Thanks to Elmer Cañas Jr. I am reviewing my first juicer EVER. Enjoy today's episode. Omegajuicers th-cam.com/video/I552G3u_adU/w-d-xo.html
#cuvkiller +Maureen Simmons PWNED @Brendan Flahive
i have one of these and i love it. in the UK where i live its known as the 8225. oh and i dont peel anything not even ginger i just shove it all in.
I have the Omega 8004, identical to 8006 just white, not chrome. You don't have to prep stuff so much. Apples, lemons, carrots don't need to be peeled at all. Michael Foster I have to be real on this show. I'm the average guy and the average guy doesn't want to do all that work.
Yeah me too I race mx and as a part of my diet I drink these I never have the time to make them
Good review Jack. I juiced a few years ago and bought a top of the line juicer and it worked great. But was a huge turnoff for me was all the prepping & cleaning. Hey Jack, if you ever come to Southaven, Ms... Stop by our Goodwill. I've scored big there.
ItsMe_gg I will. Thanks
Just discovered your video after searching for the Omega juicer...love watching you guys interact. Appreciate your honesty!
I like how it doesn't produce foams like most juicers do (based on my angle). but love the honesty even more!
Update on your Omega juicier, they actually have newer versions of the horizontal called hd800 & 900. I have their vrt400 and love it.
Yup, alot of dedication. You also have to plan when you use and buy the fruit and vegetables before it gets spoiled.
I enjoy seeing you and your family doing the reviews. You get to see different takes 0n the product.
YOUR BEST VIDEO YET! I CANT' STOP LAUGHING. YOU GUYS ARE THE FUNNIEST.
Hey Jack
Its nice to see you trying out this slow juicer. I love your shows and watch them every time you put a new video up. I know this is a side subject, but my mum actually lost 22 pounds in 3 weeks, living of this juice everyday with no other kinds of food.
I loved this episode for Jacks reaction to the green cleanse! You reminded me of my dad haha!
Finally, someone explains to me how you do citrus in these. I don’t like to have to peel the orange either.
Isn't all the "nasty" stuff good for fiber?
+Casimira Hernandez yes you're correct.
ur face is nasty
That's what I was thinking.
+Casimira Hernandez Yeah it is which is why juicing really isn't that good for you unless you have a lot of fibre on the side
not all peoples bodies can handle too much fibre. Some people find it has the opposite affect and helps cause indigestion and heartburn. This happens to alot of people. Juicing is a healthy way to detox and cleanse when people go intermittent fastings of different natures. There are plenty of other ways to get your fibre requirements. Jack, I love your honesty of the green juice!
all the chopping, prepping and th cleaning NO WAY! thanks for the review
can you say Blendtec?
Karen Petitti I agree. But I have a Vitamix. :) To hell with juicers, too much work!
ethankegley Nothing healthy about removing fiber from fruits and vegetables, and eating fructose filled water.
I mean hell, it takes like 20 minutes to make a drink and clean the thing. Just eat an apple and an orange...
Swordthful unless you have issues with fiber.. 3 other people with crohns disease I know literally don't digest fiber at all and it exacerbates our issues.
Loved the different opinions of the whole family!
I haven't been on your channel in half a year and Jesus Christ ur son has changed!
Thought you'd want to know that it isn't advisable to eat uncooked beet leaves as they are extremely dense in oxalic acid.
Love watching your videos! I get disappointed when you skip a day lol. Great videos buddy!!
You have an awesome kitchen Jack!
I've always wanted a juicer. Just sounds refreshing to have something with out added sugars and what not in it to drink. I'm glad you did this review. omG I just love you guys!! subscribed/liked & lookin' for more videos...love the family video!
Did u ever review nutri bullet?? Think it's easier to use

You should try out the vitamix. It juices and makes smoothies and there is no prep work required.

You review really cool products
jazzmyn deshield thanks. I get lots of help from viewers and friends on what to review.
if you are going to juice a lot I would avoid omega juicers due to a problem with the juice screen breaking, every 1-2 years and it cost $15 shipping to get the replacement if still under warranty.
There are other juicers that you do not have to peel anything. That maybe something you want to look into.
Hey Jack, Love your show. Have tried soo many different foods that you've had on your show. Your honest approach to your reviews are refreshing. Hey Jack Big Fan! I was wondering if you could do a Menudo Recipe. I'd really love to see how and what you like in your Menudo.
Isaiah Vega do you have a good family recipe for Menudo?
Love the videos.. Keep them coming Jack!
good work jack, love the channel
Amazing juicer review Jack!
Jack, I think you ought to compare your experience with product reviews of the Vitamix and the Nutribullet
ERosesDad I can't even begin to ask people to pay for a Vitamix. Maybe a nutribullet.
Jack can you do a review of the Jack La Lane Power Juicer?I have been eyeing on that product since I was a kid. Thanks
Hey Jack, theres a new juicer that looks more nice and its made of steel. The name of the Juicer is Hugo
Hi Jack..Almond Milk is a Nut Milk..Enjoyed this video..Thanks ...
I have a similar juice but not the same brand i have a problem with
kiwis, mangos or anything of the same texture it seems to sometimes

I bought a vitamix blender and now throw it in there and drink it up, no real prep work and a quick rinse and its clean.
The Skinny Chef There are recipes for using the waste to make pasta, bread ect.
ashrak12 it makes great compost
the vitamins are in the skins, except for onions I eat everything peel on.
Hey jack great video as always! Just wondering what your and/or your wife's job is?
great vid and honesty
At least the SOB is quiet. Some juicers sound like a freaking wood chipper or the Ronco pasta maker LOL. RIP juicer. I hardly knew ya *plays taps*
I recommend using smaller chunks of fruit/vegatables because it could harm the machine, but still a great product😃
Hi Jack first thanks to you and your family for the vid. and if you want to try a juicer without all the prep try the Kuvings whole food juicer. Its a stand up masticating juicer that just plows through the food with very and i mean very little prep.
warcraft8226 interesting. I might research that.
I have the Breville Juicer Elite - 800JEXL. You don't have to cut most vegetables up.
Jack, do you think you'd be able to test a "Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer"? It would be interesting to see (and hear) how it stacks up against a "traditional" juicer like this one. That's why I add a lot of fruit lol. It's bitter without lots of oranges or apples or sweet fruits.
it has only one roller but angel juicer has 2 roller so that does the job masticating(twin gear) ... not this omega
so i wud not buy this.. its cheaper but still not extract juice from the veg n fruit..
can it grind meat?
If you buy a vitamix you can juice with that and more and you can put WHOLE fruit in it and you DON'T have to peel any of it
can you make a cookie cup i have seen other you-tubers do it but it never works and id love to hear your insight on it.thanks in advance
Hey Jack, besides the taste of the last drink, do you have any complaints about the juicer? price??
So Jack how long was y'all on the toilet after this video
yellowlion3250 OMG you're right. I was cleansing afterwards. I thought it was just bad milk.
That is one awesome juicer Jack!!! Wsh I had that one!
do you mean ~HDS?
I have a jack lalane juicer they are very good. Juicing is great for your body and health
such a good review. thank you
Lol I kept rewatching the clip when the first carrot went in
Its a cold press juicer most other cheaper juicers are centrifugal and dont get as good or healthy result as a cold press juicer google it.
You said "a hundred ten minutes" right? cause I think I may have have heard "under ten minutes"
You can buy it at Wal-Mart for $129.98 or $189.99.
This seems to be more of a review on the quackery book than the juicer.
Try pineapple peach spinach lime juice
Loved the wife's tee shirt!
OMG Jack!
"You know how it cleanses you? You drink it all and then throw-up!"
LMAO...!!!
Do more vids with your whole family in it there always funny
I love the Beat juice...
Look at Jack juniors face after 10:46 lmao.
Best bits:
6:20 "I don't wanna go in!"
and 10:23
god forbid a "chef" might have to do some prep work
i wish i had money for a machine like that
I really feel like it's a waste of money, for that price it should be able to grind everything up without having to prep it. It kind of loses the point of a juicer.
cuvkiller Its easily doable to use only fruits/vegs that require only washing and cutting.
I wanna see all that leftover ground fruit / vegs get juiced a second time to see the remaining juice
alex rodriguez likes this video
You should find the time.
Need a juicer where you can just cram it in there with no prep.
how can i speak with a PERSON? i have a juser but a piece broke????????????????????
love the green reaction (Y)
