With the Sun out it doesn't feel all that cold it's good to see you still catching some and I'm sure that while I was delicious we caught some walleye and Smallmouth up in Canada and we put them in butter and aluminum foil and it was delicious

Great trip! That reminds me, I have still never eaten flathead...might have to try it this year if I know anyone that knows how to catch n cook lol! I have eaten bacon wrapped fillet and fried taters on a sandbar though, it didn’t suck.
Yeah, you're definitely gonna have to give it a try this year. It will make it harder to let them go haha

Shad color crankbait size 1.5-2 is a great lure for this spot. Catch walleye, drum, bass and even stuck a big gar once. All purpose lure
I catch walleye jigging from the boat down river January-February where I live, I’ve tried and tried catching them from the bank at the dam with zero luck. Maybe just different waterways, maybe I suck, lol. Great video!
My guess is a different barrier stops them on your water, and they don't make it to the dam. At least that's my guess. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vid again my friend. Believe it or not sometimes a clear three inch swim jig is perfect on high sun days for walleye. Another thing I found out by mistake when I forgot my jig selection one day. It's my go to first even on cloudy days. It's caught eyes on days it didn't make sense. We even use em under slip bobbers when slow bites are hard to detect. Oh and I wouldn't be to proud to pay lake them boys lol. Keep your powder dry young man 💪😎
I've success on those for smallies, but haven't targeted walleyes with em. Might have to give it a go. Those guys are so easy going, they wouldn't care if ya fished on their shoulders haha. Have a great one sir!

I honestly only fish for cats nowadays, but these walleye that you catch make me wanna try for them sometime. Great video as usual brother.
I only fish for cat as well however this last fall I was fishing at the damn in independence. Using a bluegill thought I hooked a flathead and caught a 12 pound walleye.

This is a little bit older video, but our weather this week looks phenomenal. Hope the ice holds up, otherwise I won't have too many fishing options. Kinda in limbo otherwise.

I try my best to be careful. Rocks with frost and ice on them make it tough for everyone at times though.

are you using a braided line with a leader? i was given 6 spools of trilene so i use it to fill my spool and splice about 100yds. {ft. not yds.} of stren mono to it but i'm thinking about using braided line with a leader.
Yessir. I love the no stretch and thinner diameter of braid. Then I use a flouro leader.

i quit using flouro cause of the stretch. i have a couple of "buggy whip" ultra lites and i'd have to pull the rod over my head and run backwards to set the hook. with the mono i can set it with my wrists.

I would like you to consider getting those big guage inserts in your ears. You can hang lures, setups, and kitchen utensils in them. Be a bit easier than messing with all the little Tupperware and ziploc bags. I got a guy. Just let me know.
