@@atariblue That game was actually made by fans years ago but crapcom removed all downloads and related pages from the internet due to copyright infrigment and who ever still owns a copy of that game refuse to upload it. Same thing is happening with remakes of RE2 and RE3, fans actually made a great remake but crapcom remvoed all data off the internet and will sue everyone who makes one. Ignorant idiots. Like that move will increase the sales of their garbage games. Quite contrary it just chased away lots of old fans to the point they don't care for crapcom anymore nor what they have to offer.

"Cut my head off" (or "hakiri" in the original interview) is actually a colloquial saying in the Japanese workforce. In its original context, 'hakiri' is a ritual sacrifice much like seppuku, except commited by beheading ones own head. In modern day, the term has taken on a new connotation among Japanese workers to more figuratively mean "to quit one's career" (kinda like how an English speaker would "shoot themself in the foot" if they made mistake).
In the interview, Mikami meant to say that he'd quit as a Producer at Capcom if he broke his promise to keep RE4 on the GameCube (I presume because he was 'dishonoring' Capcom's Nintendo players). He indeed kept his word on that promise, as he moved to Clover Studios following RE4's release before establishing his new company, PlatinumGames, in 2007.
Or you know, he actually did cut off his head every time RE4 got ported!

I like the original RE4 concept. It's like Resident Evil 4 meets Soul Reaver..... one of my favorite series of all time. It had the spirit world concept realized on the PS1, though I know it was difficult for the dev team to implement.
Guys, you forgot one easter egg; one of the guns (which will become Leon's trademark gun in future games) is called "Mathilda", a reference to Natalie Portman's character in the 1994 movie "The Profesional", whose main character's name (played by Jean Reno) is...Leon.
"Profesional" is also the name of the game's hardest difficulty.
Miyakami was also the director of The Evil Within, right? I imagine his first scrapped version of Resident Evil was probably similar to The Evil Within after hearing it became Devil May Cry.

Resident Evil 4 also got somewhat ported to the LG EnV Touch. I know because I had one, and that thing had more issues than Windows ME.

Resident Evil 4 is my favorite Resident Evil game and one of my favorite games in general. When I was younger I would watch my dad play this game and be amazed by it. Now all grown up I played it and it still is amazing.

I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH!! I played the Gamecube AND Wii versions, and I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the Switch version so I can play that too! It's not just my favorite Resident Evil game, it's one of my favorite games EVER!
Wii version had the best game mechanics, with the Wii wand. The shooting gallery was actually enjoyable on the Wii version. I missed the Wii controls when I played through the PS3 & PS4 versions. I'm looking forward to finally having a portable RE4 with the upcoming Switch version.
