Scott’s Christmas Specials just keep getting better and better every year. He got so many people for the animated segment and an ENTIRE ORCHESTRA for it. This was a great episode for sure.

being in the livestream was genuinely beautiful, everyone was hoping for Grand Dad, it was pretty hopeful when Somari appeared, but everyone was losing some hope. Then, Scott help up that game cartridge, everyone had a realization, and then the Grandest Dad showed up, the chat went WILD, it was as amazing as Joel’s original reaction. That was one of the best experiences i’ll ever have.

It's a band, not an orchestra, in fact it's any band, it's The 8-bit Big Band. They have a youtube channel, where they do a ton of big band remixes of popular video game music. I'm not sure if Scott payed them, because it's likely he just asked them to help (cause that's what youtubers do).
