"Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins" for Game Boy is my favorite Mario game. Will never forget the day we went to the mall as a family and my mom bought me my Game Boy from KB Toys along with this game. My family didn't have much money growing up so my mom buying me this was a big deal and it meant a lot. I played it for hours and its my favorite for the nostalgia alone. Dang it Rick! This is like asking a parent to pick a favorite kid or asking a rock fan for their favorite Led Zeppelin album! You’re getting a list this time. Haha. Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario, Super Mario Land, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario World. In no particular order. They all hold special places in my memory for specific times in my childhood. All with different aspects that make them great and worth replaying.
I'd have to say my favorite Mario game is Super Mario Sunshine. Based on my childhood and as well as how well the game is. I want to say that Sunshine was the first Super Mario game I owned and played. It is one of my first memories as a child, sitting in my room in front of the TV and playing for hours (and by playing I mean running around Delfino Plaza because the episodes were too hard for little me). I recently went back and actually completed the game after so many years of trying to and the satisfaction of completing it was so special and will always have a place in my heart.
Love the channel and constant content you put out. You just prove that the deals are still out there. I found a lot of Genesis games CIB and Silpheed on Sega CD at my local Salvation Army for about $2.50 a piece a few months back which are extremely rare to find in the wild in my area. Thanks again!
Oh man what a tough question.. Well mine is Super Mario Bros 3. I love how big of a change it was from Super Mario bros, but it still paid homage to its roots. Grassland was my favorite level. Love the dancing grass and the music of the world. Speaking of worlds each world was different and that was awesome. My sister got this game brand new for a Christmas gift. Pretty sure we played it the entire day. So that’s why it’s my all time favorite game. Also this has given me motivation to hunt and try to flip now. I love watching this channel. Brings back a lot of my childhood memories.
My favorite mario game of all time is Mario 64. Me and my cousins played the heck out of it when we were kids. It is awesome seeing the $10 game collection getting so big!
My favorite mario game of all time is Super Mario 64. The music, the atmosphere, the exploration, all just blow it off the top man (and of course the nostalgia lol).

Super Mario 2 is one of the most unique Mario titles. The backstory behind it is awesome. Retro fitting a title to be a Mario game and turned into one of the best IMO.
Those consoles turn yellow, because this kind of plastic many industries in die 80/90s used, includes some "sun-reacting" ingredients. You can turn them back to grey with some hydrogen peroxide, the same stuff you can diy your hair to blonde :D Did it last summer with my snes i picked up from ebay and it works great.
''ABS'' plastic like the SNES case, or 'acrylonitrile butadiene styrene' is very flammable so they add ''bromine'' to make it less so, being a very inexpensive flame-retardant. UV light that shines onto the SNES over its lifetime breaks the chemical bonds of the bromine so that it can seek oxygen in a process we call oxidation. Heat accelerates this process and the bromine turns brown giving that SNES a beautiful retro-brown finish.
I would have to say my favorite Mario is the very first Super Mario Bros on NES cause of Nostalgic reasons. That is one Clean SNES, the yellowing is from a flame retardant they used on the plastic on the earlier releases of the console. It reacts to UV light after time.

After an hour long debate I’ll have to say Mario 64 is my favorite. While Sunshine, world, Odyssey are among the greats in my book, nothing beats 64. So many times was the baby penguin dropped off the mountain by me and my buddy. Fond memories Swinging bowser around by the tail while sitting on my living room table, consequently getting yelled at by my parents for sitting on said table lol. Such great times with that title, it holds a special place in my heart for sure. Keep up the good work with the videos Retro. You’ve actually got me into goodwill/Facebook hunting and I even dragged my girlfriend into the hunting. Actually just fixed up 2 rough yellowing nes’s I got from hunting. 99.9% of the time my Goodwill has nothing for games but I check when I'm there just in case. Over the years I've found a Wii remote new in package (when Wii was current gen), and a Star Fox "Not for Resale" cart.
This is one of the toughest questions to answer so far. Gotta go with Mario 64. I grew up with the NES, but have so much nostalgia for the N64. Mario 64 was such a fun play through. Some great memories with that one.
I have to say, my favorite Mario game is Mario 64. It was the first game we got with our N64 that Christmas and some of the best memories I have is playing that with my dad. :')
For me the best Mario game ever has to be the one you picked up in the video - Super Mario World on the SNES, I have such good memories of that game and remember being so excited when I completed it.
My favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario 3.. hands down the best Mario game of all time... endless memories playing through all 8 worlds! Giant land was the best!
Gonna have to say my all time favorite Mario game is Super Mario World due to the fact that the Super Nintendo and Super Mario World is where my love for gaming started back in 1994.
It’s close between Super Mario World and Super Mario 64. I played both a ton as a kid. But I’m gonna go with 64. As much as I’ve played it, I really don’t tire of it because of how many things there are to do!
Super Mario World is hands down my favorite mario game of all time. I grew up playing it with my sister and 2 cousins and man to this day it gets me pumped
They yellow bc of the stuff they lut in the plastic for fire proofing, the uv rays from son activate it or something like that causing it to turn the plastique yeller lol
Mario 64 is by far my favorite Mario game, played it in my ds when I was younger and had all my uncles tell me how my dad used to help them with the original, this eventually led to me getting my dad's old N64 and discovering that library of games
Super mario bros 3 it was a game like no other. There were so much different things they done with the game and the power ups were great. The secrets to each world were sweet to.
great finds brother. Super mario world is my all time favorite. The star levels especially. I've beaten this game i couldnt tell you how many times. Great content man. Really enjoying it all
Super mario world for the super Nintendo, if you compare original nes mario to that.....it BLEW MY CHILD MIND! The colors the way they layered the 3d background hue incredibly smooth everything looked and played..hands down my favorite mario. love your channel man, thanks for all the content and look forward to ur next upload.
Had to think About it and come back to favorite and it's super Mario world. I've got a brother who's 12 years younger than me, right? First time I booted up the SNES and he sat beside me. You could see his eyes light up. It was such a special moment. Reminded me of my first time booting the same SNES and game up.
Easily my favorite Mario game growing up was Super Mario RPG. I clocked so many hours into playing that over at a friend's house. He actually ended up giving me the game after he sold his SNES to get an N64.
Love Mario Kart 64. Played the snot out of it all my high school buddies. Just got my son a 64 with Kart for his birthday. Looking forward to making some new memories with an old favorite.
Super Mario World without a doubt is still my favorite Mario game. Main reason being I can still remember Christmas morning of 1992 when I got my Super Nintendo, and I played Mario World for well over 10 hours straight. That and I can still beat the crap out of the game and have every secret memorized 😁
Our Goodwill smells. The employees are stinky flippers and cop the games for themselves. This is a real aggressive area for flippers. I have on occasion found good stuff though. Stuff that wasn’t obvious. My favorite Mario game will always be Mario 3. Having gamed thru the launch of all Mario games, the hype around 3 alone made it legendary. You’re doing great with this series. Im also backed up on production like you. My latest episode, I had someone ask why I was risking illness to score games. The episode was actually filmed last fall. Lol
I notice no one had answer your questions either. The other launch titles were sim city and gradius 3. The reason why Super Nintendo turn yellow is it has a flame resistant coating in the plastic that when it’s in the sunlight for too long it make it turn yellow. I believe.
years ago I took a bunch of DVD’s and books to bookmans and got around $170 of store credit, so I ended up getting a n64 console Mario 64 Zelda OOT Smash bro’s and some other random games like Tom clancy and blitz that I ended up trading in years later for Nintendo switch games. my fav thing bout collecting is when you get more then you spent. I spent out of pocket around $80 so if I wanted to sell id make money back lol
My fav Mario game is hands down the one and only SUPER MARIO 64. Its really feels like I've spent a lifetime worth of hours in that game. An absolute gem in videogame history for all time
My favorite mario game would have to be Mario Party 2. As a kid, I always love screaming at my cousin because he was better at every single minigame than me, EXCEPT for the flame jump rope game. I loved how the characters dressed up based on the map too!

Mine too! Thanks man...hopefully we can get passed all this mess so i can go game hunt again!
Retro Rick I agree with that 100%! I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is more game huntin. Prob shouldn’t claim I have a fever at this time. Lol
@@jakedominguez952 hahaha definitely not
99.9% of the time my Goodwill has nothing for games but I check when I'm there just in case. Over the years I've found a Wii remote new in package (when Wii was current gen), and a Star Fox "Not for Resale" cart.
Those are some nice finds!
This is one of the toughest questions to answer so far. Gotta go with Mario 64. I grew up with the NES, but have so much nostalgia for the N64. Mario 64 was such a fun play through. Some great memories with that one.
did you just hear? Its being remastered for the switch!
Retro Rick I heard there are 5 Mario games coming for the Switch. Can’t wait!
@@retrobro61 It is going to be amazing!
I have to say, my favorite Mario game is Mario 64. It was the first game we got with our N64 that Christmas and some of the best memories I have is playing that with my dad. :')
Did you hear that they just announced a remaster of it for the switch?!
super paper mario for the 64 is my favorite, love this channel keep em coming.
Paper Mario is a great game.....thanks for watching!
For me the best Mario game ever has to be the one you picked up in the video - Super Mario World on the SNES, I have such good memories of that game and remember being so excited when I completed it.
Yes! It is literally a perfect game
My favorite Mario game of all time is Super Mario 3.. hands down the best Mario game of all time... endless memories playing through all 8 worlds! Giant land was the best!
One of my absolute favorites!
Paper Mario for N64 is my favorite, a lot of nostalgia for that game.
It is an amazing game, great pick!
Gonna have to say my all time favorite Mario game is Super Mario World due to the fact that the Super Nintendo and Super Mario World is where my love for gaming started back in 1994.
Super Mario World is truly a perfect game
It’s close between Super Mario World and Super Mario 64. I played both a ton as a kid. But I’m gonna go with 64. As much as I’ve played it, I really don’t tire of it because of how many things there are to do!
THEY ARE REMASTERING IT FOR THE SWITCH!
Super Mario Odyssey felt like it was truly made for Nintendo fans. Despite being sick as crap, I played it for 8 hours the first time I got it
Mario Odyssey is a freaking masterpiece!
Super Mario World is hands down my favorite mario game of all time. I grew up playing it with my sister and 2 cousins and man to this day it gets me pumped
Super Mario Bro 3 is still my favorite Mario game. It just reminds me of my childhood.
My son loves watching me play that game!
My Favorite Mario Game is Super Mario Sunshine, i got it for my birthday back in 2003. it was so fun and i still play it sometimes.
They are remastering it for the switch!
Retro Rick yes I just heard ! I’m so excited! I was just talking about that the other day that it should be rereleased on the Switch lol
@@ismaelmartinez8214 It is going to be glorious!
I know it's not too vintage, but Super Mario Sunshine for Gamecube was always super fun. I loved cleaning the environment. :)
They yellow bc of the stuff they lut in the plastic for fire proofing, the uv rays from son activate it or something like that causing it to turn the plastique yeller lol
ahh thanks for the info Tony!
I loved Super Mario Bros 3, such a classic and I remember playing it with my family growing up! But I also enjoyed Mario Odyssey!
Yes! Odyssey is a masterpiece
Super Mario World is my favorite Mario game of all time. It's also my grandson's favorite Mario game. It's probably the best pack in game ever made.
Super Mario World is legit a perfect game!
Really enjoying it all
Those special stages are TOUGH!
Super Mario Land for the original Gameboy🙌 once again nice video!
Such a great game... thank you my friend!
Super Mario World is legit a perfect game
Had to think About it and come back to favorite and it's super Mario world. I've got a brother who's 12 years younger than me, right? First time I booted up the SNES and he sat beside me. You could see his eyes light up. It was such a special moment. Reminded me of my first time booting the same SNES and game up.
I think Super Mario World is a perfect game...so so good!
Easily my favorite Mario game growing up was Super Mario RPG. I clocked so many hours into playing that over at a friend's house. He actually ended up giving me the game after he sold his SNES to get an N64.
One of my favorite RPGs of all time!
Love Mario Kart 64. Played the snot out of it all my high school buddies. Just got my son a 64 with Kart for his birthday. Looking forward to making some new memories with an old favorite.
Man I never seen retro games 16bit or earlier at my goodwill! Thats so cool! My favorite mario game is Mario Bros 3 on NES and Super Mario World!
Its a rarity for sure...great picks!
Super Mario World without a doubt is still my favorite Mario game. Main reason being I can still remember Christmas morning of 1992 when I got my Super Nintendo, and I played Mario World for well over 10 hours straight. That and I can still beat the crap out of the game and have every secret memorized 😁
Yes! I truly think Super Mario World is a perfect game!
Lol
haha nice, ill have to check out your channel!
Favorite mario game... Quite a good question! I have to personally say Galaxy. Play through it every Christmas eve. Great video as usual!
I love both of the Galaxy games on the wii!
Super Mario Bros. 3. Its the game I always go back to no matter what.
The replay ability of that game is insane...never gets old!
I notice no one had answer your questions either.
The other launch titles were sim city and gradius 3.
The reason why Super Nintendo turn yellow is it has a flame resistant coating in the plastic that when it’s in the sunlight for too long it make it turn yellow. I believe.
Thanks so much for the info!
You’re welcome
Super Mario galaxy is so great. It’s got so much relatability to it.
Yes! I love both of the Galaxy games for the wii!
Super Mario Kart, hands down. The start of an amazing franchise that still kicks my butt on the 150cc!
Heck ya...i still love that game!
years ago I took a bunch of DVD’s and books to bookmans and got around $170 of store credit, so I ended up getting a n64 console Mario 64 Zelda OOT Smash bro’s and some other random games like Tom clancy and blitz that I ended up trading in years later for Nintendo switch games. my fav thing bout collecting is when you get more then you spent. I spent out of pocket around $80 so if I wanted to sell id make money back lol
Only way to do it...you're a smart man!
Thats my favorite Mario Party game too!
