Hi, hope you can help me. I bought a Quansheng UV K5 from Ali Express. Device works good, but in the Frequency Range from 350-399.975Mhz it is not possible to send. When i push the Send Button in this range, the Display shows "TX-Disable". I thought a firmware update on egzumer would solve the problem, but I still can't transmit in this frequency band. What could I do to fix this?
I have been twideling detailed spectrum frecuency mode, the screen that appears when you press PTT in the spectrum analyzer and I don't understand what are the IF values: 1, 10923, 21845, 32767, 43689, 54611, 65533 I think it's related with the intermediate shifted frequency signal manipulation process, but what are these values? Based on the last value: 65533, it seems to be a 16bit value.
Press 5 while in the analyzer and it will allow you to set the center frequency. Instructions on how to use this mode are available here: github.com/egzumer/uv-k5-firmware-custom/wiki/Spectrum-analyzer
boafeng much better, had this one had to send it back, software is kinda buggy, reception not as good as boafeng. complicated software design. i do not understand why this radio is such a hype.
I did not found this mode to be more than a useless toy. It doesn't really analyze anything just gives one a very course indication that there is something. For ~20 bucks more I can get a TinySA that will give me a lot more info about the signal, frequency and range scanned. Even the worse chinese clone functions better than this.
It's a handy little spectrum sweep that just happens to be in a rugged cheap little HT. Free, with nothing else needed to carry around. I love it. Useful? I'll find out.
During scanning, Any received signal can be captured by pressing the PTT button. Another screen opens up and displays the signal.
Thanks! That’s what I came to the video hoping to find. I also discovered that pressing exit returns to the spectrum.
Greetings from Brazil ! I flashed version 0.22 successfully! Thank you very much, friend! Thank you EGZumer for the excellent work!
Brilliant! I got so many questions answered! Thanks 👍😊
I think it's more accurately referred to as a spectrum scan or spectrum sweep display. Spectrum analyzer is a different animal.
I don’t disagree with you, but that is what the developer calls it.
Well that's very interesting indeed.
This one funtion in this firmware is worth buying the radio for remember its low price cannot see that in any other cheap radio

I made a video just for you to answer that question. th-cam.com/video/dPU37MyLAkk/w-d-xo.html
@@jonlawrence Thanks !
It's also compatible with UV-K6, you may want to include it in the title. I'm using this FW with the K6 currently.
You are right, it is my understanding that the only difference between the K5 and the K6 is cosmetic, it is the same radio internals.
Hey I love Matt's of road!, wonder how did you got that hoodie! ;)
Thank you ...
can it give the power of the signal for FM radio 88 to 108MHz?

Not sure I know either
Falta la función borrar cuando detecta una señal sin audio , pues hay señales que solo hacen ruido y no como eliminarlos
I would say you should report that to EGZUMER, perhaps he can fix it.
on the spectrum analyzer - how can you move to the spiked part on the spectrum ? how can you scan a band ?

Nice firmware
incredible! does this work on uk5 (8) too?
If you mean UV-K5(8), then yes, it has the same internals as the UV-K5 and UV-K6.
@@jonlawrence ty! Just bought one
Can you transmit from the spectrum analyzer or only rx?
You can switch to TX from the analyzer
How?
Is it wise to post your name and address on the internet/airwaves?
Yes, super wise
18-1300
Thanks
Is this the best firmware?
A lot of people like EGZumer or IJV, probably more about personal preference

The biggest reason for me is the ability to customize it with whatever firmware I want. To my knowledge not very many radios have this capability.
Because you know nothing about ham radio equipment and because your knowledge is limited.

Perhaps you are right, but there are a lot of people with this radio already that might find it interesting. Sorry to waste your time.
I find the feature very useful!!! Thank you for sharing.
You can set up the steps so it's very sensitive and your lack of understanding shows. very grateful for this feature and find it very useful.
No shit you can get something better for more then double the price lol
