    Very good video. I did my rear passenger side a couple of months ago and used your video. The only hard part was getting the two screws off of the rotor, as I didn't have that punch type tool that you had. I ended up using my impact drill for those two screws and that helped me. Great videos, thanks for sharing!

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No just make sure it doesn’t overflow when you compress the piston

  • @GR8GUY54
    @GR8GUY54 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just noticed this...
    Is it better to lube the guide pinsent once the caliper bracket is on or off? My thought was that since it's already off and we have to clean the surface again to make way for the new hardware, we could do the pins at that time as well? Essentially doing everything to the caliper first before putting back on and securing either thread locker. Just curious if there are other ways or this the better/safer way

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doesn't matter. I do it with it on the car so it's easier to take the guide pin in and out, sometimes it can get stuck in there.

    Great job, man! The only thing I would do differently from you, is that I would clean all the brake parts, rubbers, suspension, etc. Just because it would look nice. But that's me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Soon enough I'll have to do the same on my Civic.
    By the way, why didn't you put the brake cleaner before installing the rotor?

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I keep everything clean on my personal cars.
      I saved brake clean as the last step because you might get dirt/grease on the rotor when you're reinstalling the brake caliper back on, so that's the last thing I do before putting the wheel back on. Nothing wrong spraying the rotor before installing it.

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Some brake pads can react to the brake cleaner. It can cause swelling and can prematurely wear out the pads. No need to clean the pads, you need to clean the rotor.
