I’ve been surfing longer than you’ve been alive (50+yrs), and at 61 in the fittest shape I’ve ever been in. All in a still failed attempt at reducing chronic back/joint pain. The least amount of discomfort (there is NO comfort) is hanging from something, or being in water (buoyancy). Otherwise standing, sitting, sleeping are all very uncomfortable. The 2 hour drive to ocean is a barrier to getting in water regularly. Haven’t surfed in the ocean for over 2 years, and my 💔 is slowly dying without surfing. Mahalo for the help…..🙏🤙

I hurt my back in 1996 while training horses and was thrown into a fence causing transverse process fractures and later developing bulging disc. Took me years to work up the nerve to start lightweight powerlifting that a friend recommended I do to build up muscles in order to strengthen my core. Oh my God it worked. I’m 58 and only have very minimal twinges from time to time and I do firewood and tree service work.

Thank you so much for this video. I can relate to everything you say. Have lower back pain for about two years and it severely affects my mental health. The pain is chronic and the worst thing is loosing hope it will never go away. I am 55 and played table tennis for most of my life. Now all I do is trying out all kind of stuff from exercising to drugs, meditation, breath work, supplements, compression boots, inversion table, vibration plate, red light therapy... I have done MRI and have protusion of disc but there are not so severe as I understand (about 4mm). Did some PT. Nothing helps. I have an appointment for a neurologist next...

I teach yoga and I work s lot with back pain, I agree with all you say , the entire system needs balancing from the core out, teaching individuals to feell and trust their bodies again, with simple floor work and breath ,it works ,well done.

You're great at explaining where the issues are and how to correct the cause and not the symptoms!
I'm somewhat hypermobile and believe that some of my issues find their origin from hypermobility and that my sciatica is a long term consequence of bad posture partially as result of this hypermobility. Would the fix to my sciatica be any different if you are hypermobile? Are there certain aspects that you should focus more on in this situation?

Started having numbness down my leg and foot after having pain from getting up after sitting. Never had that before. Have extreme pain when standing and walking after about 2 mins. Went to a surgeon and found out half of my disc is out. Surgeon told me the only option is surgery. He said my disc will not reobsorb like I was hoping. I have surgery scheduled for January. I’m very nervous about it. I’ve tried so many things. Pt multiple times, injections, chiropractors. I’m only 29 and I feel like surgery may lead to other surgeries

It won't. Don't be scared. I've had it done and you'll be able to enjoy things again. Will take a few months to feel normal again. But it will be OK.

Hi i just watched your Luigi video from 2 weeks ago, then the video from 1 week ago, and now this one. I got really inspired and i can probaly write a tiny book of things i want to say! but in short i can relate alot to what you say :) but i am wondering however i got a spinal fusion back in 2018 i had severe scoliosis , from t2-->l4 i think? ( leaving pretty much the top and bottom vertabrae alone out of the 17 total discs i got 15 of them done with screws. what im getting to is , is there anything i should worry about before trying out your methods? since my spine is now already fused

I’m in my 50s, been in and out of pain (mostly in) for 10+ years.
Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work has been priceless.
I have stenosis and my legs and grips are very weak.
I’m going to practice some of what you teach here on TH-cam.
I want to run again, lift weights again.
If the next step outs your program, I’m open and willing to.
Thank you for your encouragement. God bless you!

I'm 50. My lower back pain started 2021 and wasn't treated properly, it gets worse due to hours of office seating and end up being diagnosed HNP of L 345-S1 in July 2024. Doctors said it is grade 1 and I don't feel sciatica. I had doctor's medicine (incl. gabapentin, muscle relaxant, NSAID) and physiotherapy exercises, the LBP is getting less pain but still there.
I wonder if it still hurts because of the exercises I do every morning or anything else. Now I have limited mobility since I'm afraid will affect to my LBP. I need opinions and insights please. Thank you.

I’ve had lower back pain for over 2 and a half years. One thing that makes things a little more difficult for me with exercises is having an anterior pelvic tilt; it’s the coordination.

Your APT pain is caused by weak glutes, tight and short hip flexors, and weak core "abs" work on those and you will feel the difference. Hope you feel better soon Blessings 🙏

    baby steps to success guys
I'm seeing light finally after 20 years of a lot hit and miss with $pecialist.
But educating my self and learning more about my own body has been the key
I've got a long way to go.
but yes diaphragm breathing and connecting to your core on the floor is king.
Dr Ryan you are the best in the business and hopefully we'll both score some pumping barrels one day pain free.🤙🤙🤙salt water heals everything.yewhoooo.
