Sometimes you start to feel like you're migrating back to PSE with all the new, simple things. It is a refreshing change to see Adobe focusing on simplicity in PS. Not just to save time, but to drastically shorten the learning curve. And, make the process actually fun. There was a time when the easiest thing to do with PS was to shut it down. Now, the designers are thinking about simplicity and it's making big productivity improvements...like the sky replacement taking care of all the layers and masking...brilliant. More please. The Hands On tutorials are great for new PS users.
(I think Adobe's marketers realize if they make things easier, they'll sell more subscriptions!!)
It's always enjoyable watching Unmesh providing a no-nonsense review of all things PS. If you're experienced with PS, play it full speed. If you're new, cut the playback speed to 55% so you can keep up with him. He does a great job.

The sky one for sure but I'll need to try it first. I tried the cut out / hair etc but not as easy as you make it look for sure! Will try again with an in depth, specific tutorial. Keep them coming! You're getting very good at this!

Great video and I have to say, you have the most helpful and amazing channel there is. Another thing, all of these improvements in the 2021 version of Photoshop are great, but I have the concern that it will start creating a new generation of designers who will stop being explorers of the tools found in Photoshop and affect a trial-and-error learning curve that we old school designers know. It is nice, it is time saving, but it is too easy.

@@renemichael5171 I mean, I have the suite, so I do pay for all of the softwares. Photoshop helps me do my job efficiently. Probably won't use these features no, but they are still cool. I wish it crashed less often, but it's not garbage. Assuming you don't use photoshop, which is totally fine.

hey there lovely weirdos, I know it's 2021 but I dare to ask - is Photoshop CS6 still good enough for freelance graphic design and occasional photo editing??
I have it on my old PC and it runs smoothly and I don't have money right now to spend it on a monster computer so I can run the newest version
@@mkm1015 you asking about CS6 ? I assure you even CS3 is fully freelance graphic designer version, most of Basic and day to day editing tools available on CS6, if you are a professional photo designer even CS1 is enough for you . Cheers

Photoshop always amazes me with their innovations, which are in part driven by the subscription model. We expect improvements and new features because we are paying for them, but I am somewhat disappointed that this year many of the impressive features are in Beta. And that means there will be funky results when we use them. This is troubling when you consider we are paying for a smoothly functioning feature. I also notice that there is a tilt towards novices insofar as help is concerned, which one would expect Photoshop elements to focus on that market segment. This suggests that Adobe is appealing to beginners to switch. This is my observation notwithstanding that I love Adobe CC. I hope the Beta features are perfected soon. Thanks, Unmesh, for a great intro to Photoshop 2021.

Most exciting feature: triangles! Such a pain to draw em before haha.
I use the polygon tool for triangles way more often that for any other number of -gon. Finally.
It was such a pain going to polygon tool for this and changing the number of sides. It is about time they added the Triangle tool!

Most of these features like pattern preview were long overdue. Happy they are here, but they should have been added years ago. Hope performance didn’t take too much of a hit. Neural filters are mostly a gimmick which I’ll likely rarely use. Excited to try out the new subject selections and refine features.

@Digga Diggson I dont think they can do something. Afterall Photoshop is redicoulously expensive and abobe forces you to own apps that you dont want ( and pay for them ofc ) . So if you ask me, they brought it on themselves. Pirating anything on the other hand is not the right thing to do no matter the price of the product.
@@skrap5008 I've just checked the Photoshop prices and they seem to have moved on to subscription model... It's not THAT expensive, around 20-30 bucks a month
