Recipe for hot lemon tea (it really works for dealing with a cold)
    1. Lemons
    2. Half cup of sugar
    3. 8 cups of water( For big pot/ use as many cups as you deem necessary)
    4. Theraflu (use night time if you are making it before going to bed, Daytime if not)
    5. Honey (Not honey flavored syrup)
Step one take a big or medium sized pot and fill it half way.
Second: take some lemons and slice them up and squeeze the juice out of them into the water then put the lemon slices in.
Third: take your sugar and pour it in.
Fourth: take a pack of theraflu and pour it in. Fourth add lots of honey.
Fith: Set pot on stove top and stir until tea comes to a boil.
Now that tea is hot and the sugar and other has devolved pour in heat resistant glass (Glass that wont shatter in your hand when boiling liquid hits it) And add a few lemon slices in with it. Then Begin to sip and eat the lemon.
After you had enough removes the lemons from the tea so it wont become bitter and store it in refrigerator (Don't let it sit too long)
It has always worked for me and my dad hope it does the same for you.

Dude, no way . My first job was at Walmart. I agree on what you said about how Walmart is a shitty company. When I worked there, I was determined to do a great job, do all my tasks, help customers at the electronics dept. but then I realized that my coworkers didn't care about doing their job, they would take long breaks and my manager and store mananger didn't do shit to make them stop. What I also didn't like about is the stress. I could go on and on about my year working at Walmart but i don't want to remind myself.....oh yeah and the lack of employees made the job more stressful

And when my wife had to go to the ER when I was working I told them that I was leaving to take her there and they told me if I did I would be wrote up for leaving on my scheduled day and that I would get a point on me like they don't even care about your family

If you want to get an item like flash drives or a pack of DVDs, you have to go stand in line for nearly ten minutes just to get someone to unlock the cage and get an item for you before you pay it up. Wal-Mart triggers my anxiety, so I avoid it typically.
Although because my Wal-Mart is in the same plaza as my GameStop, I always stop in during pre-release to see if there's free stuff from it.
Soul Calibur V I got a free SCV Shirt and hadn't even preordered, they just gave it to people in their tournament, and Black Ops 2 I got to play for 2 hours while I waited on GameStop to start releasing copies.

I worked for those scum 6 years... I was an overnight stocker (before the super center)... I watched them systematically get rid of people who were there 10 years or more. After 2 years working there I saw how disgusting the company is and everyone else I worked with warned me... So why did I stay 4 more years there? Cuz I loved most of the people I worked with... We were stuck in hell and made the best of it. We were overnights so we hated the daytime stockers who were called ICS (we said it stood for "I Can't Stock" lol)... Anyway I slipped on water... Tore ligaments in my knee... Workmans Comp... After 6 years of Exceeds including Stocker of the month... I was to be brought back as a door greeter and when time came my wage would substantially reduced. I am now on Walmarts "Black List"...anyway you have your GameStop horror stories that I enjoy watching; I have my Walmart horror stories... Watching your channel is like Therapy lol. Thank You and Keep It Up

Not trying to dismiss your points at all, just wanted to add some personal input. My girlfriend worked with Wal-Mart for 6 months and sometimes she wouldn't want to take a lunch because she didn't bring any or wasn't hungry or whatever reason and they would force her to because they have to. But they also promised a small pay raise after 6 months of employment and when that rolled around, they told her that they changed it. That she had to wait because "she still had stuff to do". She quit because of that and how negative the work environment is. Everyone was always miserable and talking about each other behind their backs, and the customers were often times very toxic as well.

They treat their employees like crap, you aren't paid worth crap, they will write you up for no reason at all, and will constantly praise bad work methods if it gets the job done faster. I'm glad I got out of there, and I hate having to shop there because my dinky ass town doesn't any other retail centers nearby. As a former Wal-Mart employee I feel your pain. I worked receiving for over a year. When I started we only had 2 cart pushers and one of them got fired right around Christmas time so we were called up front to push carts quite often. It was quite frustrating, especially when we had a really big load to unload.

I can confirm that helping a customer if it interferes with a task is frowned upon if not outright punished. I was there to buy a TV once that was on sale at both Walmart and Best Buy for the same price. Walmart was way closer to where I lived at the time, so it seemed the logical choice.
I went in, found the TV, on display and had verified online before that they had a few in stock. None were in boxes on the floor though, and no one was around in the electronics department other than a younger guy who was stocking DVDs on one of the displays. I asked him if he could check to see if they had any in back.
He was pretty friendly, and started talking about the TVs as he was on his way back to check for me. Someone that I'm assuming was his supervisor stepped out onto the floor and asked him what he was doing. He said he was helping me, and she told him to get back to stocking the DVDs.
He looked up at me with a mix of fear and apology, then said "I'll find someone else to help you" before going back to stocking DVDs. The manager went back into the back while this was going on, and I spent another 15 minutes waiting around for someone to come help me before I walked out of the store and drove across town to Best Buy to get the TV.
I'll never go to Walmart for a big purchase again after that.

Our Wal-Mart is in a slightly rural, small town area. Not a lot of traffic (which is nice), good location and kind employees! Never worked at one, but I don't think it'll be a good idea if they're strict on lunch schedules. I have Type-1 diabetes, which may make a lunch break take longer if I have a sugar low... Anywho, I haven't really had too many bad experiences with Wal-Mart.

That's true. However, you should be grateful that you are earning a living, but you shouldn't be grateful that that particular company (regardless of it being a Wal-mart or not) for offering you employment. Especially if you are a U.S. able-bodied citizen with a H.S. Diploma some sort of certification, associates degree, or even a bachelor's. I get that some people end up at these jobs even with these type of post-secondary accolades, but that really doesn't mean you need to stay there. Use them as a stepping stone or something to pay the bills while you continue your job search. Avoid complacency. In a capitalist economy like the U.S., there is absolutely no reason why you or anyone should settle at a company because they gave you a job. Unless, of course, you want the job. Not necessarily need it. Even BPGR realized this and is now in a better position since he left the Wal-mart. It is very possible had he stayed, he would not have made the connection to end up working where he is now.

Only time I ever deal with Walmart stores on location anymore is for buying the occasional card(Netflix, WoW, maybe PS Store), or to load a gift card someone gave me for Christmas one year if I want a specific item to buy on their site without having to go through the hassle of knowing whether they have it physically there or not. Otherwise, I simply go through Amazon to buy things via loading gift cards from my local gas station only a couple blocks away.

Yeah that concept works better when your talking about neighborhoods but when it comes to shopping plazas and these stores and shit... man anyone could be lurking around there at any given time. It is not illegal for a shady lookin' person to walk around where they choose and of course they are going to think they uppity more well off people are going to be easy targets and not put up a fight and just be willing to give them what they want. I feel you. I worked at wal mart when I was 20 and it was aweful. they told us at orientation to take our lunch inbetween our 5 and 6 hour mark. i got written up for taking it past 5 hours and then was told its between our 4th and 5th hour. I marched to the HR and comfirmed that they said it was 5th and 6th. I then told them I was written up for it.
I then got written up for wxpired yogurt. I worked the frozen and dairy department but they told me from now on Ill be scheduled frozen. I was in frozen for a month and and a half and with in that time the yogurt was expired. regardless of where they had me I was written up for it. I tried fighting it but they shifted blame on me anyways.
then they constantly scheduled me 4 and a half hours sometimes 5 and a half hour shifts they wanted me to throw out the returns, stock, scan food items in the bins, unload trucks, and devide my time between two departments with in that time. the issue was my wal mart was one of the bigger wal marts, understaffed, and I was scheduled always a half hour before rush hour hit. I couldnt do it all on my own. so I was told they would move me to cart pusher and take a pay decrease if it I didnt shape up.
then because the freezer was packed and extremely cold(-30) filled with items that never scanned I would have walk out from time to time to warm up when I was in there for long periods. I got yelled at for it and told I wasnt doing my job.
the final nail was when they enforced this rule that for an hour you had to take merchandise already stocked and pull it forward to look full. I was scheduled one of my rare 7 hour shifts given wal marts mentality and how I was scheduled I either had to pull the merchandise forward skipping my correct time for lunch or take lunch. either way I was going to get yelled at. I took a late lunch.... the next day I called in because that day i took a late lunch was my birthday and I had two days after that off. so I call in and the lady on the phones tone was off she said see you in a few days and hung up. I wasnt clocked in when I came back and I was called in the office and written up. that was my final write up so that meant termination. I asked what I was getting fired for and it wasnt for calling in no it was the late lunch so I was mad.
I picked up my last check and the lady who handed it to me said you can come back in 6 months to get your job back. you are a great worker hunny I hate to see you go. she wasnt my supervisor but she seen me work a lot and we always had friendly chats.
also my supervisor was a bitch. when ee met I put my hand out to introduce myself and she just said oh ok nice to meet you Im April. she always tried starting shit claiming she was watching me and I just stood around.

I can't stay in a Walmart for longer than 15 minutes before I start to get anxious. There always seems to be unsupervised kids running around. Everything on the shelves is in the wrong spot and/or shuffled around. The people shopping there are just...interesting. On top of that, there is always at least 3-4 people loitering at the front doors (drunk and/or high, sleeping, just standing there, or someone trying to sell you something). Walmart is the pits and I avoid that place like the plague.

I'm told a good thing about working there is they have an Ethics Group and you can report any problems you have to them. I was told that anyone who has been bullied or treated wrong at a Walmart as a customer or as an employee you can report it to the Work Place Ethics group. You can find your local ethics group by doing a google search under "Walmart Ethics" so any bad moments or complaints can be sent to the Ethics group and that report goes to the Walmart Home Office. Even if you are a former employee.

I completely understand every point you had. I live down near Cincinnati and literally every Walmart I have been to it seems like it always has the scummiest people. There's a big shopping area 15 minutes from where I live. It's one of the nicest parts of town and I go there because there is nice restaurants there and I like to shop at the outlet for christmas. Just a nice area, the wealthier people live around there. But as soon as I walked into the walmart there, it was just like I was in a completely different place. • @BonJoviSXS

The one I worked at was great, opposite of what was said there. Then again its a Canadian walmart. Broke my back (not at work, and no spinal injury) and they sent me a fruit basket and even let me work during my recovery with little odd jobs around the store that I could manage at the hours I could handle.
While walmart in general might not be a great company, it kind of depends on the management of the individual stores in my opinion, a lot of people at the one I was at STILL work there 10 years after I left (only because I moved away).
Another story is I started in "Store Standards" witch is basically a cart pusher, and helps carry out large items for customers and such. Managers would stop me every once and awhile when it was -30c (Canada) and give me an extra break to warm up even if I could not keep up with the amount of customers that needed carts (Managers even went out and got a few loads). Also if its really hot in summer, they would write off some iced teas and bring over a cooler so we could keep hydrated.
Anyway just wanted to share that, While I do see a lot of negative stuff surrounding walmart and I won't try to say its not true, or exaggerated, I think it kind of depends on the area and how its managed.
