    A lot of the F12s they are showing are of the first 2500 that were made with the Waukeshau engines. At that timeIH did not have their engines ready for production and bought the engines to put in their tractors. The F12 was introduced in 1933 only about 2500 had the flathead motors. The IH were overhead valve. Cool Video

    This episode showed up in my daily YT feed, first time I ever heard of your channel. I really liked it, checked out your channel homepage and I subscribed. My grandfather had an F12, and I learned how to operate it when I was 9yrs old. Also used the side PTO wheel to drive a saw rig in the fall. Will never forget that Farmall. He also had two John Deere A's, one B and an M!

    incredible video. just think. Thermal siphon, no water pump, all hand crank start, no lights, rubber tires were an option. IH was awesome. And, to have one of these new in 1930, wow.

    I love the comparison with horses. These were probably the first tractors that most farmers had ever seen.
    Wow, 10 acres a day! What productivity!

      The tractors only ate when they were working. As much as a third of farmland was used to feed draft animals.

    just seen the drawbar that has that twist in it ( to hook up to the vertical ) part of
    the drawbar / ands the angle iron drawbar brace instead of round rod brace. I never
    knew if it was home made till I seen this pulling a disk. That drawbar came on a
    1939 farmall h I purchased this fall in 2021 , was from a guy who owned a welding
    shop so I thought maybe he put the twist in each side , but it looked to perfect and the
    braces looked like a nice flattened out area on the ends, so now i know farmall works
    in chicago ill built the drawbar and it came on I cant tell an f-12 I guess or F- something.

    The cotton planter at 3:27 shocked me! No doubt plantings seed from the gin. However the depth had to be very sporadic. Cotton seed needs precise planting depth.

    One thing i noticed: i dont think they recorded the exhaust sound at the time they were in the field. It might have been added later... its always the same engine sound and rpm speed fading in and out.

    • @CharlesWT-TX
      @CharlesWT-TX ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the engine sound was added with the voice-over. Cameras with audio would have been costly.
