I guess they felt like the loop of this song would've been a little short if it were just bein' friends and that it'd end up getting repetitive. But honestly I'm fine with it like this and yeah it is a little strange how it's just in almost every remix/while the songs we did end up getting are nice it'd be cool to have some other tracks from the mother series in smash

Well, a few years later when I was like 8, my parents got us a wii with melee. And this map caught my eye. I played it and always thought this was a serious remix of the original onett theme since it was on the onett map XD it also sounds fairly similar.anyways, until now, I realize it’s a different song since I never played the original Mother or really did anything with that game.
virgin: actually playing the game chad: just fucking around real talk though i love this story. i used to do that kind of shit in sonic adventure where i’d make the characters walk around station square and get food at the burger shop, or stay at the hotel. or i’d pretend that little shed next to the minecart in the mystic ruins was sonic’s house and i’d take sonic up to tails’ workshop to visit tails or to the master emerald shrine to visit knuckles i kinda miss being that young and not yet realizing the world is bullshit and just kinda having fun with everything i could possibly make my own fun from. older games, n64 & gamecube games especially for me, just had that kind of unexplainable magic to them that left things up to interpretation by a child’s imagination
"that slow part" is actually the 8 melodies from Earthbound Beginnings. Kinda sucks they don't have their own remix, but you can hear them sprinkled in Smiles and Tears (which is actually the 8 melodies from Earthbound/MOTHER 2)
I also plan on reuploading (most of) their Animal Crossing GameCube uploads if they eventually take them down. Sadly they left a lot of hourly tracks out so I'm not sure what I'll do about that.

The original version from Melee had 2 themes remixed and put together. Bein Friends was the 1st half. The 8 melodies was the second. This only has Bein Friends.
This track used to be called just Mother, "Mother (Melee)" in Brawl and Smash 4. It was renamed Bein' Friends in Ultimate, like how Fire Emblem was renamed Story 5 Meeting, and EarthBound was renamed Fourside. Also, yes, this track is just the part that plays Bein' Friends, the second half with the Eight Melodies remix is taken out.

The eight melodies are great, but the composers throw them into half the smash remixes of the first 2 games music.
