- Mount and Blade: Warband Mod Gameplay - We are back with another event from Call to Arms. This time My Knight's and I command the servants of Sauron and Lionheart commands the Elves. At the end of the video we play a battle and Lionheart changes factions to Gondor. Enjoy the Battle :D

You started the previous video with:"Knight's of Apollo." It'd be cool if you when you do another siege event you randomly select 3-5 subscribers and dub them "The Knights of Apollo" and have them guard you throughout the battle.
Anyway, cool vid as always. I wish I could subscribe twice.
+1 to the idea of 2-3 designated bodyguards for both Pixie and Lionheart - who knows, maybe they can start or end the event with a mini skirmish between the personal bodyguards and the leaders?

Dude you should organize people into squads with squad leaders, that would make managing the defense a lot easier.

Thats a shame, seems almost impossible to mount an effective defense through the chaos. But i suppose thats pretty realistic. Directing a battle with a Gods view like in Total War doesnt fully convey just how difficult it would be to direct your troops as a commander in the field. At any rate i really enjoy your vids man, great work!
David Frigault I appreciate the info, very fascinating, i admit i dont know a great deal about real life battlefield tactics or strategy, somewhat ironic since i love me some Total War. Always appreciate learning new things though. Definitely gives me a new perspective on what it probably felt like to command an army prior to the 20th century. Of course they still draw up battle plans to this day but with the advancement of communication technology as early as WWI there would be less praying and more directing. Hell at the rate technology is advancing perhaps future wars will be fought like an RTS game with the commander being able to see and direct his troops and the battlefield via satellite or drone. XD
Thats true and even as far as communication technology has come today you still get friendly fire and mixed information. I recall that mishap at the battle of the Somme, its tragic to lose soldiers to a good fight, but even more so when they die to something like bad intel. But as the commander you have to make hard choices like that, it couldve just as well been the case that they were winning and it would be vital to press the attack. And i agree about Total War, not every confrontation between armies lead to a do or die struggle, armies would assemble and have hour long stand offs that would end in a draw if neither side could come up with a good way to attack effectively, or if the opposing side maneuvered onto the high ground.

There is a sub mod of TA called "divide and conquer" or DAC with new factions and such, it is continuing to update, might be worth a go

great video. Very exciting. And yes whenever I watch you or Diplex(especially North and south mod) play M7B I just imagine soem total war player is controlling you guys. Especially In the regimental fights for the North and South mod... I can imagine "They are wavering!" or "The enemy are breaking!" etc.

redrock here. I played the orcs (before live) and elves (live). the orc armor is better by 8 or so points. and most elvish classes don't give any weapon variation. Swords only did 20ish damage as elves.
I must say Apollo, it took you a whole four minutes before your first death in this game. That must be some kind of new record.

apollo u should make a siege battle where u have a shield wall around the flag and have archers shot as the enemy charge and then push them out in shield wall formation

hey pixie im not sure if you'll see this but how about an event where mordor has to take osgiliath and the defenders respawn at minas tirith meaning that they need to ride to osgiliath gain reinforcements

they should've had archers shoot at the flank of people on the siege towers and then they would have less to deal with then have like 5 guys at flag and protect entrance

Firstly, you're not part of Mordor. Melkor transcends that level by far, but even he fell (twice). Secondly, Mordor fell twice. I rest my case.
You fell. :) I know I'm not part of Mordor, but I am sure that if it came to it - Melkor would support Mordor and Sauron. Mordor should not have fallen twice, the problem was the men and elves had JRR Tolkien on their side. :)
Yes, I fell. Then I returned, and can now wreck everything, whereas you had to be nice to your worst enemies the first time, and after the second you were thrust into the Void (not a nice place this time of year). I am sure that if it came to it, Melkor would not support Sauron. If anything, he would supplant him. There can be only one Lord of the Rings, and he does not share power. If Melkor returned during the time of Mordor, he would become the Lord of Evil once more. And Tolkien? 'Side? I am on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side, little orc.'

Call to arms is for the server and event ? The mod is not call like this, they're 2 mods from LOTR if i remember when the game was free for a week end ?

If your talking about the Eu lothlorian they are trash they don't allow the enemy team to have anything while they go the most op fac and spam 2hers
If your talking about facs in fom it's a way to do fun organized events. However in general il use pw for example you do fun events and you get to interact and meet new friends and overall its just a lot of fun.
