It's the dream camera that I decided to get, just because all other Sony cameras are so expensive in comparison. As a camera now, it excels best in photography, since you get that delicious 14-bit RAW. The a7sii just works so well in low light. Hi great video!!!! Really shows how good cameras we have since like 2010. Could you share what lenses did you use on a7sii? Both in A roll and while shooting?
Thanks for a kind words! Most of the time when I’m holding the camera it either has a Sony 11mm f1.8 on it or an modded Helios 44-2 58mm f2. All of the test shots around the lake were filmed with a Leica Elmarit-R 90mm f2.8

5d mark 2 is also the camera that started the revolution. Would be cool to see if you review that camera too to see if the footage still holds up
That’s actually a really fun idea, I’ll look into getting one in the next couple of months

The most informative Video about the A7sii, thanks! I would Love to see you do a 8bit grading tutorial!
Bought one for 599 just for low light stills. Looking forward to using it for low light street photography
Great watch! Recently had the chance to use the a7siii. It's mind blowing how much has changed, but how the sii still holds up!
Yeah for sure! I was really surprised with how good the sii was, I thought the footage would look much much worse

Its not as clear cut on the older cameras, in slog, if you go up from 8000 to to 10000 it will be a maxed out low gain resulting in a super grainy image but if you go down from 12800 to 10000 it will be the lowest of the high gain giving you a really clean image
The low/high native is different based on the picture profile
I know on the a7s1 in slog its 3200/8000 (again you have to go down to 8000)
I've seen this behavior on the A7R2, the a6100, and the a6400
