    Finally, I have reached this video. After going through every single video from the First Video to now. It took me over a week to watch all of this.

    Great video fantastic value loco you bought and with your detailing you made it look so good and easy to do. the prototype video was really good with its variety of freight stock it was pulling round. i loved the powdered weathering you did too it gives it a very subtle blend of shades. by the way my favourite piece of rolling stock whether in model form or prototype is that larger or longer brake van that we saw in the video. Thank you for showing us your outstanding modelling advice and help with improving our own model railway stock collecting and servicing etc etc. It revitalised my own interest railway modelling that comes and goes but never ever fully leaves my fascination and interest. thank you so much.

    Hya Tris the k3 is a very good locomotive it just sounds like it needs a drop of oil on the gearbox a very easy job for you.
    The k3 used to be based at Hull Dairycoates where my Dad was a driver.
    I have a k1 in my collection.

    Hi Tris, excellent work, I was thinking of purchasing bargains to practice my skills on but I’m always a little frightened about what I’m undertaking and have got the skills to fix and repair. So thanks for the inspiration and happy modelling, or in your case “training” 😉

    That was really worth watching. I ve learned from your methods of weathering. Well done! I also liked the breaks in it to show real trains.

    Lovely job weathering it there Tris! Good to know though that you've had issues with yours, I've had no end of problems with mind. I've found they are dreadful at picking up power, I'm tempted to at some tender pickups to mine since it seems to hate points haha!

    • @OONeal
      @OONeal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you sir, yes I think tender pick ups would be perfect

    I love what you did with the loco! I'll admit I've not yet gained enough confidence to do weathering on loco's, mainly because I'm afraid that I'll ruin them! Will you by any chance be going to the Warley Exhibition? I'll be there on the Sunday, I would love to say hi in person :)

    Great weathering video. What paints did you use to weather the rods?

    • @OONeal
      @OONeal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did that a little while ago. I think I use weathered black for quite a lot of it. I used the rail match paints but any off black almost grey paint will do

    • @mattseymour8637
      @mattseymour8637 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OONeal Ok thanks for the advice. What name of weathered black is that and was that railmatch paints?

    Snap. picked one up for similar money myself LNER version. several parts are listed on Bachmanns site despite it`s age, One thing I cant seem to solve at the mo is the valve gear seems to cause an issue once it`s on a curve and the wheel profile changes, it bobs like yours but much worse.

    • @OONeal
      @OONeal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see I hope you get sorted with the valve gear

    • @newlynnrailway
      @newlynnrailway 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OONeal Just cracked it needed to make it just a little under wheel gauge, runs Great Now on third radius, I`ll add it to one of my Fix it Vids
