The Thailand point was weird. Yes Izzy hasn’t spent as much time in Thailand at Tiger MMA as Valentina, Dan Hooker, Petr Yan, Kai Kara France, and Alexander Volk, but he definitely spent time training there.

The thing is, and the point Chael is making, is that every one of these fighters would’ve been elite strikers no matter where they trained. For the average UFC fighter, going to Thailand won’t magically make them significantly better strikers.
@@tpc1416 They didn't have to go specifically to Thailand to fine a great striking coach. However, it's still a great place to go to up your game. Also, if all these people went to Rhonda Rousey's coach to learn striking, they wouldn't have become elite.

He owns a pub in Ireland and has people who are in town traveling wanting to meet him there every night, so I imagine it’s harder to not drink and go to bed early. I think it would be good for him to get away for a camp. If Big Bear sucks than somewhere else.

Mr.Bad Guy, I started fighting pro back when the sport was very commonly looked down on still, I participated in Dan Severn's Danger Zone in Michigan & a few of Dave Strasser's events around the Wisconsin & Illinois area & I was pretty talented, I was always told that my speed was crazy & a weapon in itself, problem was I couldn't do what I was capable of in practice or the cage because as soon as we did the glove touch or even just meeting my opponent in back before hand, especially if I seen them with their family, I instantly had an amount of respect for them as a person or someone's Father, Son, brother & just couldn't come close to pulling the trigger on fighting anything like I could if it was someone out in the real world who was messing with me personally. I wish TH-cam & your channel was around back then because you've said things that I know for a fact I could've used back then to get passed my thought process when it came to the cage door closing. Point is I can't believe all these fighters that you willingly & graciously drop TON'S of your knowledge on (for free no less) don't jump on here & listen then apply all your creative idea's, great advice & almost never do I see anyone actually use the idea's you through out there, you even give Jon Jones some gold nuggets and I know he's not #1 on your favorite people list. I would have been ALL over your channel if it was around back then, oh well I guess for the dumb dumbs that don't get or see what your doing here. Thanks for all the content & especially recently for renaming tommy fury "Will", I'm not sure what it was about you calling him Will but it's the funniest thing in the world to me & my Son! I’m beginning to see that point about muy Thai fighters. The latest Gaethje fight is a perfect example. He found quickly all he needed to do is throw jabs and fiziev couldn’t handle it. Like in Muay Thai they don’t even jab much ? I’m not an expert I could be wrong.

It's either 1 of these 3 things....1= he's trying to force usada into giving him an exemption last minute, he's almost putting then in the clock by saying he's starting camp
2- he's using this as an excuse for when the fight doesn't happen. He'll say he did everything he could, he even started camp. He was told this and that and usada went back on it.
3= usada actually did tell him it was gonna be ok, but when he released the info publicly....they said he has to do what everyone else does and enter the pool, to save face with the other fighters and the critical public.

I think the point that you're missing Uncle chale is Conor has the resources to bring his whole fucking team with him and train in the altitude of big bear
Exactly lol. Its actually a very smart move for conor because his stamina has always been very bad. He gets gassed out really fast. But him training in high altitude will definitely increase his stamina especially when he's at regular elevation.

There are good mma gyms in Thailand tiger and bang tao. I get what chael is saying but those are good gyms that have good fighters. Fiziev is a coach and trains at tiger

Honest question, is big bear at elevation? Connors persistent criticism is cardio and perhaps it is a consideration for him in terms of strategy, building on his conditioning? Who knows, Conor does Conor and he’s a bit weird to begin with
My parents always had a cabin in Big bear and I decided recently to go check out Big Bear again. Chael is right, Big Bear does suck. The lake looks horrible compared to Lake Arrowhead.

Alex Volkanovski has a gym in Thailand called bangtao and was just the P4P great. Peter Yan trains in Thailand year round and was the world champ.
Maybe Conor is thinking about buying it. Sometimes there is nothing that can be done. It is what it is. Fighters and other athletes will stand on their head, wear sacred symbols, drink bat spit, and run to gurus of other knowledge. Sometimes a fighter does have gaps and needs to bring someone in and if he can't bring someone in he needs to go to them but that's not this. Chael's talking something else as usual that few get. He's the shining light if anyone will listen on how you have a great career in a sport and are relevant and make a good living without being the champion. This knowledge is needed. The sad thing about boxing was it was a racket you were guaranteed to end up a bum like Rocky said. The champion and maybe a couple other guys in a division were making money. Everyone else had to have two other jobs to eat. Chael. What he did. That's the answer.

Chael may think (and i hope he doesnt) deep down that his career wasnt enough because he missed a UFC championship. I believe if he'd achieved that, we wouldnt be getting this every man content after the fact. I love Chael. I can in some ways relate to Chael. I wouldnt be able to if he'd been a champion. Gotta agree about 75% of what he said but guys going to tiger when they dont have fights booked i really dont see as a bad thing aside from all the free steroids😉, theres such a litiny of too talented guys there to train with and get different looks sparring. I mean freaking fiziev is the striking coach there, all the coaches they have are great, and i do believe its just guys going to get sparring and matt work and training in with other top guys in the ufc, now if your at a gym like aka or city kickboxing Xtreme couture etc is it necessary? No, but you got guys travelling when their not in camp to those gyms tok to get work in with those guys, so unless u moved your whole camp for a fight there like till did🤦 and your just looking to get some super high level training in with top guys for a fee weeks, why not? But again i said i agree about 80% with chael, kamarus coming to the end of his era, but him gaethje and rose always stick to their small gym with trevor in Colorado and theyve gotten fantastic results considering its essentially those 3 and a couple other ppl. Same with city kickboxing. Etc etc.
