Hey Bud What limiter setting are you at is that considered 2 or 4? You only take the bolt out of the loose side of strap correct? and tighten or loosen that loose side?
the confusion on chain tightening is because suddenly BRP/ambassadors starting talking nonstop about how important chain tension is. we now know it's because they supplied '23 turbo sleds with chains and sprockets rated only for non-turbo use, hence the constant chain tensioning talk. there is now a recall to get the proper equipment installed in turbo sleds.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Making consumers aware of how to PROPERLY tension their chain is surely not the reason for any issues. Also I had a NA 850 gear and chain on my turbo last year, I never had an issue. Just food for thought. If you have any constructive questions please comment away, but please refrain from bashing brp and their knowledgable ambassadors. Everyone is trying to help you have an enjoyable experience on the snow. Stay safe and sled on!!
@@nikpahno never said that properly tensioning the chain caused issues. most everybody that rides sleds knows that is an essential part of maintenance. the difference this time was the large amount of emphasis put on in it and then the when owners found out they had inferior parts installed, they realized why the emphasis on chain tightening which was to minimize risk of chain case exploding. brp nor the ambassadors were forthcoming about this and the whole thing was a little shady. that's great that you never had an issue but you're just one data point and in fact, there's a recall so clearly there was/is a problem. them's the facts. and no one is above criticism.
Nik the only thing you need to do is post more videos! Love the content man. Hello from way over here in Newfoundland Canada.
Great video! Definitely would love to see you swap/check the rollers if you get a chance to

What kind of drivers are those on your sled. How many tooth?
???
@@Ride4life311they are stock I believe 8 tooth drivers. Stock skidoo driver are really good. If you ride a Polaris I recommend avid drivers.
@@nikpahno I’m on a 2022 Freeride 154” and ended up getting some Avid’s! Love them! I can run my track sooo much looser and not get any ratcheting. 🤘
@@nikpahnothat’s why the drivers look so different… I didn’t realize you are on a 146” 😂
You need a rivet gun! Clutch rebuild would be cool too 👌🏼
tell me about it!

THAT IS TOO TIGHT ON THE CHAIN . Stick to the skidoo spec . A chain that tight is causing damage . . . .
It was not very tight at all. I just get all the slack out of the secondary.
I have never blown a chain.
YOU WILL . @@nikpahno
That is waaaaay too tight. You want an 1/8th of an inch play in your secondary
@@Ride4life311 you want to “eliminate play”
@@nikpahno your are correct….but you don’t want to eliminate all the play. You want 1/8” play
