  • The ‘SNL’ Writers’ Room has produced many name talents such as Sarah Silverman, Conan O’Brian, Bob Odenkirk and John Mulaney, and in this Hollywood Reporter exclusive, we sit with many more to hear about the ins and outs of creating timeless sketches.       liquid lsd yeah, both Meyers and Fey were not only writers on SNL, they were the head writers during their tenure . Fey was the first woman to ever be a head writer at SNL.
      My guess is that they wanted to highlight writers who not as many people knew were writers for the show. Or it was entirely randomly selected.

    Rosie Shuster (0:46, center) may have been one of the funniest, and most beautiful writers SNL ever had who, unfortunately, showed up only VERY rarely in sketches back in the days of the 'Not Ready For Prime Time Players'.....

      Agreed. Everytime Sarah Silverman shows up for one of these "let's talk about me being on SNL." all I can think is."You're famous, despite being on SNL" Some of her comedy is fantastic but we never saw any evidence of it on SNL. She hit it big after her time on the show.

      4 years late, but she told in an interview that she wanted to be there because she was the head writer for the 25 year special. But she was working on another project on the side of the country.

    I got an idea for a sketch Setting. The North Korean leader sitting at a table full of cheese n liquor bottles and across from him is a missile and he is talking to it like a person telling his feelings for it and professing his love in the background is some Marvin gay music playing. At the end of the sketch he is dry humping the missile

    The newer Snl skits are actually terrible. I hear the writers fight to get there ideas on but the quality suffers. I like probably 2 out of every 15. An i really want to like them but there dumb..
