Lashing the Frame - Skin on Frame Kayak - E5

In this episode I lash together frames and stringers.
This is an adaptation of one of my favorite new designs. Skin on frame is a quick way to build a kayak, and I hope to get this done quickly and out on the water soon.

Nice work. Those lashings are solid and done economically but adequately with 3 wraps.

I would hope you will use the translucent skin on this. That "Chinese lantern" look is so cool. Only way it could be better was if it was clear, unless of course, you're planning on doing nude kayaking.
