i did this years and years ago when it first came out!, i also chopped down the hatch door as it acted like a rudder and redisghned the battery lid so i could get inside to work on it
ive watched this again as the only mod left for me is to try the prop change, i cant see the Graupner 3.75 props on google?, the old props that it comes with leave very little room, did the new props make much difference?, are they longer?
Hi, I am looking to give it a go and upgrade mine, how do you get the props off? Are they glued? Would it be worth upgrading motors? Do you still have forward reverse on left stick and direction on the right stick, I look forward to your response, Many thanks, Steve
Hi, props are threaded , you will need a set from graupner with matching thread, cw and ccw prop. I think upgrading the motors is not worth the time/cost. I like it the way it is now, with a 2s lipo and the bigger props, its faster than stock, and good enough for me. I had to assign the steering on 1 stick, because its with a aileron mix on my dx6i. Other stick controls lights and hopper. Have fun building yours !
-2 simple 25amp car esc's (hobbywing is the brand i used . Cheap and reliable esc's) -Spektrum dx6i radio and receiver, but you can go with flysky, just make sure you have elevon mixing on your transmitter (or buy seperate v-mixer) mix to use is in video (or google is the answer) -Standard 1/10 servo for making the switches toggle for lights -stabndard servo to change hopper-control -silicone adhesive to seal the boat after. Good luck, it aint rocket-science, just take youre time !

i had to dremel the props a bit to make it possible. made a little more speed, but not that noticable at all ... its the lipo that made the biggest difference imo. I still have the boat and keep enjoying myself with it and my my deeper pro attached to map out the lake-bottom. Good luck !

I wouldn't mind doing these changes to my procat, do you have a list of what you bought?

Not much difference, and i had to use my dremel to make them fit. Most difference is made by using 2s lipo batteries instead of the 6volt lead-acid.
