      It really is!!! The shoe looks good though. I'm a sneaker guy only these days but totally skated some good ish in the 90s. The Ollie area is a direct call to the early 2000s globe stuff. Soo cool!!!

    • @groidcel
      @groidcel ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Part of that 120 is being used to fund Gillette's music career. If the CT-IV's and chunky boomer shoes were less than $120, then you know it's being used for residuals.

    I loved these shoes, like a LOT. They’ve lasted a long time for me and I don’t really feel the inadequacies of the insole tbh.
    As often as I’ve skated for as long as I’ve had them, I would easily pay $120 again. And probably will. They’re stylish, they fit all the function I need and want in a shoe, and they’ve skated really well for me. I like the idea of supporting their sustainability push if it means more expensive shoes, and I also want to support the company and AG! Great editing.

    I have been really enjoying skating these shoes, i have the black version and they look really good and for me they skate really well! Took me about 2 sessions to get the hang of em but once i did I've have no complaints (other than the price... i'd say they are worth 70-90$. Got mine for 92$ after tax) I'm a low impact/beginner vert so the board feel is immaculate and some of the comfiest shoes I've worn in a while. My last 5 skate shoes have been the Rowans from vans so if you liked those maybe you'll enjoy these if you can afford em or find em on sale online. If the weren't so damn expensive i feel like they'd be more popular, Globe F'd up by making them not accessible to the majority of skaters

  • @ProdByClockwerk
    @ProdByClockwerk 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The thing about you saying you’d rather have impact protection over board feel? Well, I have a theory. Some people actually have more impact protection with a vulc, because having a thin shoe with board field makes tricks easier for them, and they feel more confident, and thus they are bailing less, whereas if that same person was wearing a more “protective cup sole” they wouldn’t be able to feel their board and thus would do their tricks less often and would be bailing more often, which would actually hurt their foot more than if they were just wearing a thin ass vulc.

They seem very tech heavy and nobody has reviews them in the USA or even has a video of them skating them besides Ellington himself. Id love to see a non biased review of them and how they hold up by a trust skate wear tester like you bro! I feel like you’ll love them they deserve more spotlight and you know a guy like Ellington isn’t just gonna slap his name on some bullshit! Knowing he skated for other great skate shoe companies like emrica and Supra. My buddy hoops in the lining Jimmy butlers and swears by them and they’re priority insole technology called boom he says it’s like Nike react and adidas boost had a baby and I
      Guarantee they translate perfectly for impact protection and board feel for skating. Knowing how Erik skates you gotta do the video bro please 🙏🏻
