Imma have to agree with you on these. Most of these I saw as a child too and they startled me, although remember finding the Lionsgate logo more intriguing than scary as a kid.
I got recommended this, but i watched a lot of top 10 logos. And i remember being scared of the Walt Disney Home Entertainment as a kid (I'm talking about the original variant). I also remember having chills when i saw the MGM logo before watching the classic Tom and Jerry shorts. I was mostly scared of Leo and Turner and i got nightmares about them eating me alive. I was also scared of the Windows 7 Startup, and yes i grew up with Windows 7 (R.I.P Windows 7, you had a startup sound that scared me as a kid but you were an amazing operating system). Btw I’m autistic too and i was mostly scared of really loud noise but now i'm used to it.
The Lionsgate logo never scared me, was always one of my favorites. On the other hand, the aforementioned THX, Paramount Feature Presentation and PS2 logos(especially the Red Screen, thanks Game Crazy for giving me a faulty copy of Pac-Man World 3) scared me to death as a kid.
The only thing that made me forgive Paramount for that Feature Presentation thing was the intro logo for the Sonic movie. As a Sonic fangirl, I thought that looked so cool!

The only logo that truly scares me is the 1967 logo for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The variants that scare me are the ones from the movie "THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS". I don't like how Leo The Lion transformed into a vampire. It's very disturbing.
The logo that scared me the most was the Disney Feature Presentation logo from the 90s. The loud music and the narrator that comes out of nowhere still kind of creeps me out to this day. 😨
I was also scared of something Disney-related. I really didn’t like seeing the 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo. John Debney’s music blaring in my speakers was a real nightmare for me. I was actually more scared of that logo than I was of the THX logo. In fact, the ‘85 Disney logo still freaks me out to this day. I know that John Debney was working with the 1980s tv music maestro Mike Post, but did Debney really have to use some poorly executed orchestral music that sounds like a creepy carnival attraction? I don’t think so. Funny that Debney’s father worked at some Disneyland attractions.
I don't know why, but as a kid, I was always scared of the Pixar logo. Looking back, I assume it's because it's silent (no background music and having only the lamp sound effects), and that Luxo Jr. (the lamp) stares at you at the end after crushing the I. Giving the vibe that the viewer is its next victim. And on the closing version, the scene lights dim and Luxo Jr. still stares at you in the dark, before its lightbulb turns off. I often had nightmares of Luxo Jr. because the closing version of the Pixar logo was nightmare fuel to me. Whenever I would watch a Pixar movie as a kid, I always froze and pretended to be as still as much as possible during the logo, so that the lamp wouldn't see me. (Kid logic) It wasn't until my early teen years that I became comfortable with the Pixar logo.
The LEGO-ified version of the Pixar logo had Luxo Jr. jumping on a Omnidroid, crushing the Omnidroid (appeared on LEGO The Incredibles: The Video Game by Midway for PS4 which is a WarnerMedia Company)

I will say, the THX variants that you showed, the creepy red atmosphere Sony PS2 one, and the red firey Lionsgate logo are the only ones that I would find reasonable to be scared of, ngl, as for the rest..................Nah lol, but I ain't gonna judge too hard. When I first saw the THX logo I was like what's that noise and my sister was in the same room and when it came out with the loud sound i was crying like nuts and i rushed to my sister and said scary logo. Nowadays I love it but once a while I do get chill in my spine.
Shadow Projects wasnt scary to me when it was on after Bear in the Big Blue House. But I understand why you were scared, because the dog is a silhouette and the animation is choppy
The Paramount Home Video menu is scary for me because what if you're trying to put on a movie before bed expecting it to go straight to the movie, and then you wake up in the middle of the night and it's stuck on this dark menu? On the other hand, I find the Universal Cartoon and Sony Wonder logos to be the exact opposite of scary. I just find them charming, comforting, and nostalgic. The Lionsgate (the normal one) is just epic. It's the 2001 Home Entertainment logo that scared me, with the words and lion zooming in with the ominous ambient music playing. And the Paramount Feature Presentation bumper can burn.
I used to be scared of the PS2 RSOD, Flashbang bumpers, and the BND mask. The BND mask was so scary that it became my worst nightmare and my biggest fear. I was scared of it and had nightmares of it every year from 2012-2018. I wasn’t scared of it anymore as of 2018.
I did artwork of the PS2 RSOD on DeviantArt Armageddon, the only Laserdisc release, had the Flashbang “on CD & Cassette” bumper intact (side 1) prior to showing the promo before the film (all other Disney Laserdisc releases, including James and the Giant Peach, do not have the scary bumper)
None of these scared me I don't think but what was scary was this if you remember.. After the tape ends and you just leave it in the VCR, after a few minutes when the VCR rewinds the tape, it eventually powers down to sleep mode or whatever. Then the TV is no longer getting the signal for the blue screen so it turns to fuzz and it was sometimes very loud and scary. Might depend on the TV. I faintly remember a younger sibling (or possibly me) being scared that he would call for my mom or dad to turn it off and put his head under a blanket and cover his ears when that happened lolol.
The scariest logos (and I’ll give you a list of things that what I’m scared of) when I was a kid, it would be NIGHTMARE SECTION: 1. The BND logo. This logo is from a Russian company (I think) and it really gives me the creeps when there was a black line, and it’s shaking and then, here comes the ball! Whoops there it goes, falling in and boom! The fanfare spooked me out, not to mention the ancient mask, and the BND logo itself. I think it means VID. The “N” is backwards. Not to mention, the BND logo of doom! This is when you watch the Viacom V of Doom logo, and then, when the logo came to an end, the ancient mask jump scares me, and I was frightened about that! That’s what gives me nightmares! Dang, that must’ve hit me hard! Anyway, this logo was from 1990-something to somewhere over in the early 2000’s. 2. Viacom V of Doom logo. At the end of the show that is owned by Viacom, the logo appears on a cyan background, text goes forwards, and it says, “A Viacom Presentation”, and then, the “V” of doom is what almost got me. I was a bit scared. But I had no idea! Anyway, the logo is from the 1970’s or 60’s. Either way, it almost frightened me. And then like I said, this logo came up with the BND logo of doom! As I said in #1, it traumatized me with that JUMPSCARE! Geez! 3. PlayStation 2 startup! When you got a PlayStation 2 released on November of 2000, this is what scared me compared with the Viacom V of doom and the BND logo! You press the power button, then, *PlayStation 2 startup sound* OH SHOOT! That scared me! Not to mention, when you got a broken, dirty or corrupted PS2 Disc, you get the RSOD screen! That’s what scared me the most, and like I said, compared to the BND logo of doom! I felt like I was gonna hide in a safe spot, like the kitchen, or perhaps better yet, in my ROOM! I was like screaming, you know, *screaming*! “OH MY GOD!! WHAT THE FREAK HAPPENED TO THE DISC!!” And then, when you stare at it, it’s like looking at the fiery depths of hell, like, *devil voice* “YOU CORRUPTED THE DISC! THIS IS WHAT YOU GET!” *Normal voice* Boom, you’re looking at the RSOD screen! I’m like, “OH MY GOSH!! NAH, IT’S TOO SCARY FOR THIS KID!! I’M OUT!!” That is why that this PS2 startup scares me, and the best thing is, I turned the volume ALL THE WAY DOWN so I don’t have to hear something scary like that! And when you got the game ready, the PlayStation 2 logo gave me the creeps. I jumped. And it kind of scared me. 4. The Paramount DVD logo from 2003-2019. When my dad got the Iron Man DVD, there was the intro of the Paramount DVD logo. “Oh look, it’s the Paramount logo. OOOOH, STARS! I love stars!” Then all of a sudden, “Wait, what’s that noise? *gasps* No, not the DVD. Not the DVD! No no no no! NO!” Then the DVD crashes onto the mountain, and then, the sky and clouds fade away, and that’s what give me nightmares. In my dreams, when this logo appeared, I had to run away from the house, or get in my bed, under a blanket, then there’s what madness starts in. When the logo gets faster or faster, the WTF BOOM sound came in, or when it goes like, “WTF!!” and then random clips from movies, tv shows, or videos from TH-cam (like the ASDFMOVIE from TomSka, or some other videos) starts and then by the end of it, there was the big mouth guy with eyeballs goes like, “Imma firin’ ma lazor!” Then, BOOOOOOOOM!! And then when everything goes wrong, the logo kept going faster and faster, until I get sucked up by the TV, and I was falling into the void! Then, those other dreams ago, I was like going into another universe or dimension, for example, I fall into the neighborhood, or I was in a Powerpuff Girls cartoon (ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS) or the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon universe! And then I got up, no injuries, then I was looking for a place to go in, like a house, or something. Then, I saw the TV again, and I tried to look away, then out of nowhere, “There it goes again with the Paramount DVD logo!” There was no escape. The DVD crashed onto the mountain, then I got sucked into the TV, then I’m falling into the void again! I wasn’t talking because I didn’t have a voice, and then when I woke up, it was just a nightmare! And then I woke up until it was real life! Nothing is real. Thank goodness! Anyway, that’s what the logo got me started! 5. The THX logo (1980’s - present). Nothing scary about listening into the deep note, but otherwise, the logo didn’t scare me. But when I was in my dreams, that’s when the THX logo starts. When it played a strange yet scary deep note, I felt like I’m almost getting sucked into the TV and into the void I go! Whether it’s the Digitally Mastered version, the VHS version, or the Tex 1, or Tex 2 Moo Can version, that’s what almost got me. I’m not gonna say too much about the THX logo, but overall, it gave me the creeps a little bit. 6. The DreamWorks SKG logo (1997 - present) or the DreamWorks Animation SKG logo (2004 - 2010). Nothing scary about that. Whether you’re watching Shrek, or any other DreamWorks movies, it’s nothing scary about it. Just a boy fishing on a crescent moon. Then the letter “D” came up, then the full word “DreamWorks” goes to the left, then the clouds goes to the left, and then it reads “DreamWorks SKG”. Or when you’re watching an animated movie from DreamWorks, for example, Shrek 2, Shark Tale, or Madagascar, the logo is on a beautiful day, when all of a sudden, the boy was lifting up by a bunch of balloons, then the boy sat on the crescent moon, then he’s fishing and lets go of the balloons, then the balloons popped, and the words, “DreamWorks Animation,” “DreamWorks Animation SKG”, or the Over the Hedge variant of “DreamWorks” (just DreamWorks) (I know, it’s weird, right?) appears. Nothing scary, but when I was watching a fanmade DreamWorks DVD logo on TH-cam, that’s when it gives me nightmares, like the ones with the Paramount DVD logo. There was the DreamWorks Home Entertainment logo (1998) version, and it mixed in with Paramount DVD. Then there was the DreamWorks Animation Home Entertainment logo (2007-2013) version mixed in with the same logo like I said last time. Unfortunately, the video got deleted, thanks to Paramount Global. Anyway, like I said, nothing scary with that logo. 7. The XBOX series. I used to have an OG Xbox or an Xbox 360. In my dreams, I had one of those startups that gives me nightmares. The OG Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Series X or S. The OG Xbox startup is okay. But in my dreams, the OG startup plays, then reverses, then when the X came forward, the Klasky Csupo music came in. I’ll give it a 1/10 scariness scale. The old Xbox 360 startup (2005) is decent. But what actually creeps me up is the notes. But in my dreams, the Xbox 360 startup plays, then at the end, the logo makes an attack move! The ring comes in the “X” ball, then the notes hit every time it spins forwards and backwards. I’ll give it a 3/10 scariness scale. The Xbox 360 startup (2010; Kinect Update) is alright. But in my dreams, the logo startup plays, and there goes the same thing as the old Xbox 360 (2005) startup. I’ll give it a 5/10 scariness scale. The Xbox One startup (2013 - present) is what almost made me jump. But in my dreams, the logo starts, then reverses. Then puts in an “I accidentally” effect (for example, “I accidentally Xbox”). For the Friday The 13th Reboot in 2009, The Logos for Both New Line Cinema and Paramount were Red. and During the logos, you can hear Jason Voorhees Echoing "Ki... Ki... Ki... Ma... Ma... Ma...".
My opinions on each one: 10. APT is actually pretty fantastic. Never made me jump. 9. Wasn’t even scared of Paramount DVD one bit. It’s such a cool DVD logo. 8. The plane is called Jetty. And this logo is actually very cute and very well animated for an old logo. 7. One of the most nostalgic home entertainment logos ever. Both the original and alternate fanfares are the best themes for a home entertainment logo. 6. Sure. Lots of people have been freaked out by this, but it never scared me. This is one of my favourite THX logos ever along with the Tex 1 trailer from 1996. 5. This logo is also very cute and very well animated. I was never unnerved by bobs face when he’s trying to get through the D and even when Bob smiles when looking at the camera. Such a charming logo. 4. Seriously? This is one of the best console startups from the 2000s. I absolutely love the PS2 startup. I never hated it one bit along with the RSoD variant. 3. It’s just a warning screen. Sure the font might be large, but this is how Disney likes to make it. I remember seeing this on old Disney VHS tapes. 2. It’s a pretty overrated film reel bumper, but still a nostalgic one. This always comes up before a movie. This was only on a VHS for a Disney film. (Dis)honourable mentions: 1. Never seen that logo on any DVD, but it’s still a fantastic and amazing logo. 2. Also an overrated logo because of all of those lame “characters watch the THX logo” videos. But this THX logo was also very common. It was seen on nearly all DVDs and VHSs. Absolutely nostalgic too. 3. Sorcerer Mickey appearing at the start is actually amazing. And the fanfare is also cool too. 4. Like the Disney feature presentation film reel bumper, but it’s even better cuz we got the Paramount fanfare from 1986. That fanfare still cannot beat Fox’s fanfare. 1. Really? I never had nightmares about Lionsgate. Lionsgate is an amazing and beautiful logo. The horror variant is also cool because it fits the mood for movies that are part of the horror and thriller genre. And both those logos are well made and are incredible and so is the fanfare. So that’s my overall opinions of the logos that are on this list.
Personal childhood experiences: 10- Was always annoyed by this one because it appeared at the end of every single PBS program. 09- This one was more funny than frightening. The DVD wiping in out of nowhere is almost comical. 08- Never saw this one anywhere but on TH-cam, but I always thought that one was stupid. 07- Loud, but nothing to really freak out over. The alternate version is better because it's quiet. The dark sky one looks odd though. 06- That one was more of a "show's about to start" than anything else. 05- When I was a young child, I wasn't afraid of monsters, I was afraid of that darned cucumber. The original version of this logo from '97 was so shocking to my young self that I had nightmares about it though. 04- The startup noise is cool, but the original startup sound from the precursor will always be the best one. The synth hum when the final logo shows up though was something I was freaked out by as a kid. Nothing too bad, but still startling. The red version feels like it was done to be purposely startling, however (even though I was never scared of it.) 03- See thoughts from "06". It did remind myself of Jeopardy! though. 02- This one meant that the previews on the VHS tape were finally over and I could watch my favorite Pixar films. It also signaled where to stop fast-forwarding when I didn't watch the previews. Quite nostalgic honestly. HM1- What I remember about this companies tapes was that they got straight to the point. No previews, trailers or promos, just the FBI Warnings, logos and then bam there's the show I wanted to watch. HM2- The "Deep Note" always reminded myself of Fred Meyer (the name of Kroger in the Pacific Northwest) for some reason. HM3- Another one I never saw anywhere outside of TH-cam. The original home video version is one of my all time favorites and I hated how they butchered it to make this one. HM4- This one meant my favorite Nick Jr shows were about to start. Always plugged the tapes in when Family Feud was about to start because I was scared of Louie Anderson. 01- Never saw this one outside of the internet either, but the company name reminds myself of how I wasn't allowed to watch Saw as a young one. The "horror" version is extremely clever. To answer the question, Pony Canyon from 1988.
Well IMO, I don’t think the Big Idea logo is really not that scary to me. I used to see that logo all the time when I had old Veggietales VHS tapes that I had when I was little and I used to watch them with my grandpa. I actually thought is was cute and funny. One of my scary logos from my childhood, was the Renaissance Pictures logo. I'm a 90's kid, so I used to watch Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: The Warrior Princess. And that logo always creeped me out as a kid.

Used to be scared of Gracie Films too. Yesterday I finally got over it. Bad news is I'm a piano player right? I was scared and still am, scared of the Aardman Animations logo from 1990. The ominous music, along with the angry looking man was just weird and horrifying to me. Not to mention the logo plays smaller on the screen along with darkness around it. Therefore, this logo is scary. a.k.a cartoon also scared me because of the guy being impaled by a pencil, with the logo being around darkness like Aardman Animations.
I was never really scared of the logos themselves more so the sound associated with them. Just one logo scared the crap out of me from just its presence. The ytv logo from the late 90s early 2000s it was some throbbing monstrosity with a tongue. People were on some kindy crack like no other back then.

Logos don't really scary me anymore but I was always scared of the Tri-Star logo with the Pegasus Horse from 1984 to 1993 or 94 because it always would come on before Short Circuit. I like yourself am on the Autism Spectrum and things that aren't scary to other people can be scary to us people on the Spectrum! I was scared of the opening credits of Short Circuit where they are assembling Johnny Five in the factory. I am also scared of the robots demonstrating their firepower when they blow up the jeeps, deuces, and tanks because it starts out with flowers and then shows a jumpscare of the tank treads entering the picture. Johnny Five and all the other robots in Short Circuit looked scary to me the way they were designed especially when their optic sensors turned red. I was also scared of GW Bailey's character in Short Circuit getting angry when they failed to capture the robot Johnny Five. So because of all that, I was scared of Short Circuit and the Tri-Star logo for a long time. Any movie with that particular Tri-Star logo, I would run and hide. I actually love the Tri-Star logo and Short Circuit now and I enjoy watching it a lot but they were scary to me as a kid.
I also got scared of Tristar a little bit because of the pegasus running towards you and also its ominous when you watch it in the dark.I never grew up with the 1984 logo but I grew up with the 1993 logo because of the long lifespan of the logo

The only logo that truly scares me is the 1967 logo for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The variants that scare me are the ones from the movie "THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS". I don't like how Leo The Lion transformed into a vampire. It's very disturbing.

I was also scared of something Disney-related. I really didn’t like seeing the 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo. John Debney’s music blaring in my speakers was a real nightmare for me. I was actually more scared of that logo than I was of the THX logo. In fact, the ‘85 Disney logo still freaks me out to this day. I know that John Debney was working with the 1980s tv music maestro Mike Post, but did Debney really have to use some poorly executed orchestral music that sounds like a creepy carnival attraction? I don’t think so. Funny that Debney’s father worked at some Disneyland attractions.

I don't know why, but as a kid, I was always scared of the Pixar logo. Looking back, I assume it's because it's silent (no background music and having only the lamp sound effects), and that Luxo Jr. (the lamp) stares at you at the end after crushing the I. Giving the vibe that the viewer is its next victim.
And on the closing version, the scene lights dim and Luxo Jr. still stares at you in the dark, before its lightbulb turns off. I often had nightmares of Luxo Jr. because the closing version of the Pixar logo was nightmare fuel to me.
Whenever I would watch a Pixar movie as a kid, I always froze and pretended to be as still as much as possible during the logo, so that the lamp wouldn't see me. (Kid logic)
It wasn't until my early teen years that I became comfortable with the Pixar logo.

When I first saw the THX logo I was like what's that noise and my sister was in the same room and when it came out with the loud sound i was crying like nuts and i rushed to my sister and said scary logo. Nowadays I love it but once a while I do get chill in my spine.

The Paramount Home Video menu is scary for me because what if you're trying to put on a movie before bed expecting it to go straight to the movie, and then you wake up in the middle of the night and it's stuck on this dark menu?
On the other hand, I find the Universal Cartoon and Sony Wonder logos to be the exact opposite of scary. I just find them charming, comforting, and nostalgic.
The Lionsgate (the normal one) is just epic. It's the 2001 Home Entertainment logo that scared me, with the words and lion zooming in with the ominous ambient music playing. And the Paramount Feature Presentation bumper can burn.
I used to be scared of the PS2 RSOD, Flashbang bumpers, and the BND mask. The BND mask was so scary that it became my worst nightmare and my biggest fear. I was scared of it and had nightmares of it every year from 2012-2018. I wasn’t scared of it anymore as of 2018.

None of these scared me I don't think but what was scary was this if you remember.. After the tape ends and you just leave it in the VCR, after a few minutes when the VCR rewinds the tape, it eventually powers down to sleep mode or whatever. Then the TV is no longer getting the signal for the blue screen so it turns to fuzz and it was sometimes very loud and scary. Might depend on the TV. I faintly remember a younger sibling (or possibly me) being scared that he would call for my mom or dad to turn it off and put his head under a blanket and cover his ears when that happened lolol.

The scariest logos (and I’ll give you a list of things that what I’m scared of) when I was a kid, it would be
NIGHTMARE SECTION:
1. The BND logo.
This logo is from a Russian company (I think) and it really gives me the creeps when there was a black line, and it’s shaking and then, here comes the ball! Whoops there it goes, falling in and boom! The fanfare spooked me out, not to mention the ancient mask, and the BND logo itself. I think it means VID. The “N” is backwards. Not to mention, the BND logo of doom! This is when you watch the Viacom V of Doom logo, and then, when the logo came to an end, the ancient mask jump scares me, and I was frightened about that! That’s what gives me nightmares! Dang, that must’ve hit me hard! Anyway, this logo was from 1990-something to somewhere over in the early 2000’s.
2. Viacom V of Doom logo.
At the end of the show that is owned by Viacom, the logo appears on a cyan background, text goes forwards, and it says, “A Viacom Presentation”, and then, the “V” of doom is what almost got me. I was a bit scared. But I had no idea! Anyway, the logo is from the 1970’s or 60’s. Either way, it almost frightened me. And then like I said, this logo came up with the BND logo of doom! As I said in #1, it traumatized me with that JUMPSCARE! Geez!
3. PlayStation 2 startup!
When you got a PlayStation 2 released on November of 2000, this is what scared me compared with the Viacom V of doom and the BND logo! You press the power button, then, *PlayStation 2 startup sound* OH SHOOT! That scared me! Not to mention, when you got a broken, dirty or corrupted PS2 Disc, you get the RSOD screen! That’s what scared me the most, and like I said, compared to the BND logo of doom! I felt like I was gonna hide in a safe spot, like the kitchen, or perhaps better yet, in my ROOM! I was like screaming, you know, *screaming*! “OH MY GOD!! WHAT THE FREAK HAPPENED TO THE DISC!!” And then, when you stare at it, it’s like looking at the fiery depths of hell, like, *devil voice* “YOU CORRUPTED THE DISC! THIS IS WHAT YOU GET!” *Normal voice* Boom, you’re looking at the RSOD screen! I’m like, “OH MY GOSH!! NAH, IT’S TOO SCARY FOR THIS KID!! I’M OUT!!” That is why that this PS2 startup scares me, and the best thing is, I turned the volume ALL THE WAY DOWN so I don’t have to hear something scary like that! And when you got the game ready, the PlayStation 2 logo gave me the creeps. I jumped. And it kind of scared me.
4. The Paramount DVD logo from 2003-2019.
When my dad got the Iron Man DVD, there was the intro of the Paramount DVD logo. “Oh look, it’s the Paramount logo. OOOOH, STARS! I love stars!” Then all of a sudden, “Wait, what’s that noise? *gasps* No, not the DVD. Not the DVD! No no no no! NO!” Then the DVD crashes onto the mountain, and then, the sky and clouds fade away, and that’s what give me nightmares. In my dreams, when this logo appeared, I had to run away from the house, or get in my bed, under a blanket, then there’s what madness starts in. When the logo gets faster or faster, the WTF BOOM sound came in, or when it goes like, “WTF!!” and then random clips from movies, tv shows, or videos from TH-cam (like the ASDFMOVIE from TomSka, or some other videos) starts and then by the end of it, there was the big mouth guy with eyeballs goes like, “Imma firin’ ma lazor!” Then, BOOOOOOOOM!! And then when everything goes wrong, the logo kept going faster and faster, until I get sucked up by the TV, and I was falling into the void! Then, those other dreams ago, I was like going into another universe or dimension, for example, I fall into the neighborhood, or I was in a Powerpuff Girls cartoon (ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS) or the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon universe! And then I got up, no injuries, then I was looking for a place to go in, like a house, or something. Then, I saw the TV again, and I tried to look away, then out of nowhere, “There it goes again with the Paramount DVD logo!” There was no escape. The DVD crashed onto the mountain, then I got sucked into the TV, then I’m falling into the void again! I wasn’t talking because I didn’t have a voice, and then when I woke up, it was just a nightmare! And then I woke up until it was real life! Nothing is real. Thank goodness! Anyway, that’s what the logo got me started!
5. The THX logo (1980’s - present).
Nothing scary about listening into the deep note, but otherwise, the logo didn’t scare me. But when I was in my dreams, that’s when the THX logo starts. When it played a strange yet scary deep note, I felt like I’m almost getting sucked into the TV and into the void I go! Whether it’s the Digitally Mastered version, the VHS version, or the Tex 1, or Tex 2 Moo Can version, that’s what almost got me. I’m not gonna say too much about the THX logo, but overall, it gave me the creeps a little bit.
6. The DreamWorks SKG logo (1997 - present) or the DreamWorks Animation SKG logo (2004 - 2010).
Nothing scary about that. Whether you’re watching Shrek, or any other DreamWorks movies, it’s nothing scary about it. Just a boy fishing on a crescent moon. Then the letter “D” came up, then the full word “DreamWorks” goes to the left, then the clouds goes to the left, and then it reads “DreamWorks SKG”. Or when you’re watching an animated movie from DreamWorks, for example, Shrek 2, Shark Tale, or Madagascar, the logo is on a beautiful day, when all of a sudden, the boy was lifting up by a bunch of balloons, then the boy sat on the crescent moon, then he’s fishing and lets go of the balloons, then the balloons popped, and the words, “DreamWorks Animation,” “DreamWorks Animation SKG”, or the Over the Hedge variant of “DreamWorks” (just DreamWorks) (I know, it’s weird, right?) appears. Nothing scary, but when I was watching a fanmade DreamWorks DVD logo on TH-cam, that’s when it gives me nightmares, like the ones with the Paramount DVD logo. There was the DreamWorks Home Entertainment logo (1998) version, and it mixed in with Paramount DVD. Then there was the DreamWorks Animation Home Entertainment logo (2007-2013) version mixed in with the same logo like I said last time. Unfortunately, the video got deleted, thanks to Paramount Global. Anyway, like I said, nothing scary with that logo.
7. The XBOX series.
I used to have an OG Xbox or an Xbox 360. In my dreams, I had one of those startups that gives me nightmares. The OG Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Series X or S.
The OG Xbox startup is okay. But in my dreams, the OG startup plays, then reverses, then when the X came forward, the Klasky Csupo music came in. I’ll give it a 1/10 scariness scale.
The old Xbox 360 startup (2005) is decent. But what actually creeps me up is the notes. But in my dreams, the Xbox 360 startup plays, then at the end, the logo makes an attack move! The ring comes in the “X” ball, then the notes hit every time it spins forwards and backwards. I’ll give it a 3/10 scariness scale.
The Xbox 360 startup (2010; Kinect Update) is alright. But in my dreams, the logo startup plays, and there goes the same thing as the old Xbox 360 (2005) startup. I’ll give it a 5/10 scariness scale.
The Xbox One startup (2013 - present) is what almost made me jump. But in my dreams, the logo starts, then reverses. Then puts in an “I accidentally” effect (for example, “I accidentally Xbox”).

My opinions on each one:
10. APT is actually pretty fantastic. Never made me jump.
9. Wasn’t even scared of Paramount DVD one bit. It’s such a cool DVD logo.
8. The plane is called Jetty. And this logo is actually very cute and very well animated for an old logo.
7. One of the most nostalgic home entertainment logos ever. Both the original and alternate fanfares are the best themes for a home entertainment logo.
6. Sure. Lots of people have been freaked out by this, but it never scared me. This is one of my favourite THX logos ever along with the Tex 1 trailer from 1996.
5. This logo is also very cute and very well animated. I was never unnerved by bobs face when he’s trying to get through the D and even when Bob smiles when looking at the camera. Such a charming logo.
4. Seriously? This is one of the best console startups from the 2000s. I absolutely love the PS2 startup. I never hated it one bit along with the RSoD variant.
3. It’s just a warning screen. Sure the font might be large, but this is how Disney likes to make it. I remember seeing this on old Disney VHS tapes.
2. It’s a pretty overrated film reel bumper, but still a nostalgic one. This always comes up before a movie. This was only on a VHS for a Disney film.
(Dis)honourable mentions:
1. Never seen that logo on any DVD, but it’s still a fantastic and amazing logo.
2. Also an overrated logo because of all of those lame “characters watch the THX logo” videos. But this THX logo was also very common. It was seen on nearly all DVDs and VHSs. Absolutely nostalgic too.
3. Sorcerer Mickey appearing at the start is actually amazing. And the fanfare is also cool too.
4. Like the Disney feature presentation film reel bumper, but it’s even better cuz we got the Paramount fanfare from 1986. That fanfare still cannot beat Fox’s fanfare.
1. Really? I never had nightmares about Lionsgate. Lionsgate is an amazing and beautiful logo. The horror variant is also cool because it fits the mood for movies that are part of the horror and thriller genre. And both those logos are well made and are incredible and so is the fanfare.
So that’s my overall opinions of the logos that are on this list.

03:12 Oh, I watched this logo in my VHS tape of the CGI Casper Christmas movie and even in the Land Before Time movies aired on Tiny Pop in the UK.
Personal childhood experiences:
10- Was always annoyed by this one because it appeared at the end of every single PBS program.
09- This one was more funny than frightening. The DVD wiping in out of nowhere is almost comical.
08- Never saw this one anywhere but on TH-cam, but I always thought that one was stupid.
07- Loud, but nothing to really freak out over. The alternate version is better because it's quiet. The dark sky one looks odd though.
06- That one was more of a "show's about to start" than anything else.
05- When I was a young child, I wasn't afraid of monsters, I was afraid of that darned cucumber. The original version of this logo from '97 was so shocking to my young self that I had nightmares about it though.
04- The startup noise is cool, but the original startup sound from the precursor will always be the best one. The synth hum when the final logo shows up though was something I was freaked out by as a kid. Nothing too bad, but still startling. The red version feels like it was done to be purposely startling, however (even though I was never scared of it.)
03- See thoughts from "06". It did remind myself of Jeopardy! though.
02- This one meant that the previews on the VHS tape were finally over and I could watch my favorite Pixar films. It also signaled where to stop fast-forwarding when I didn't watch the previews. Quite nostalgic honestly.
HM1- What I remember about this companies tapes was that they got straight to the point. No previews, trailers or promos, just the FBI Warnings, logos and then bam there's the show I wanted to watch.
HM2- The "Deep Note" always reminded myself of Fred Meyer (the name of Kroger in the Pacific Northwest) for some reason.
HM3- Another one I never saw anywhere outside of TH-cam. The original home video version is one of my all time favorites and I hated how they butchered it to make this one.
HM4- This one meant my favorite Nick Jr shows were about to start. Always plugged the tapes in when Family Feud was about to start because I was scared of Louie Anderson.
01- Never saw this one outside of the internet either, but the company name reminds myself of how I wasn't allowed to watch Saw as a young one. The "horror" version is extremely clever.

Well IMO, I don’t think the Big Idea logo is really not that scary to me. I used to see that logo all the time when I had old Veggietales VHS tapes that I had when I was little and I used to watch them with my grandpa. I actually thought is was cute and funny. Used to be scared of Gracie Films too. Yesterday I finally got over it. Bad news is I'm a piano player right? Well do you know how many people have posted videos playing it on Piano and did tutorials for it? 15 at least. Also do y'all remember the orange variant? I remember it so vividly. I think they removed it cause it was too scary or something.

Whenever I see Lions Gate I always think of movies like "Hostel." This logo is creepy to me and the horror variant is even worse.

I was scared and still am, scared of the Aardman Animations logo from 1990. The ominous music, along with the angry looking man was just weird and horrifying to me. Not to mention the logo plays smaller on the screen along with darkness around it. Therefore, this logo is scary. a.k.a cartoon also scared me because of the guy being impaled by a pencil, with the logo being around darkness like Aardman Animations.

I was never really scared of the logos themselves more so the sound associated with them. Just one logo scared the crap out of me from just its presence. The ytv logo from the late 90s early 2000s it was some throbbing monstrosity with a tongue. People were on some kindy crack like no other back then.

Logos don't really scary me anymore but I was always scared of the Tri-Star logo with the Pegasus Horse from 1984 to 1993 or 94 because it always would come on before Short Circuit. I like yourself am on the Autism Spectrum and things that aren't scary to other people can be scary to us people on the Spectrum! I was scared of the opening credits of Short Circuit where they are assembling Johnny Five in the factory. I am also scared of the robots demonstrating their firepower when they blow up the jeeps, deuces, and tanks because it starts out with flowers and then shows a jumpscare of the tank treads entering the picture. Johnny Five and all the other robots in Short Circuit looked scary to me the way they were designed especially when their optic sensors turned red. I was also scared of GW Bailey's character in Short Circuit getting angry when they failed to capture the robot Johnny Five. So because of all that, I was scared of Short Circuit and the Tri-Star logo for a long time. Any movie with that particular Tri-Star logo, I would run and hide. I actually love the Tri-Star logo and Short Circuit now and I enjoy watching it a lot but they were scary to me as a kid.

I also got scared of Tristar a little bit because of the pegasus running towards you and also its ominous when you watch it in the dark.I never grew up with the 1984 logo but I grew up with the 1993 logo because of the long lifespan of the logo
