I was a few years younger in 86, but I remember how bad I wanted a pair. My parents wouldn’t drop the cash for Nike, but my grandma did haha. Wasn’t much left of them by the time I was done wearing them. Pretty sure my toes were sticking out the front before I gave them up. These will mean a lot for me…definitely doing what it takes to get a pair.
That’s cap. It was not easy to walk into Foot Locker in 2015 to cop these. I camped overnight to get these and they were sold out everywhere. Foot Locker was doing raffles as well at that time. The demand was a lot bigger than the supply in 2015.

Honestly those 2015 are muuch better then this overhyped L&F, which resell price won't get over 400$ at most, but I think even thst is a bit too much.

I got mine from flight club when my size dropped to $306. Then it went back up. I don’t see this shoe dropping to under $350. As a collector I couldn’t gamble on hitting for retail , enough though I’ll still try. This shoe along with the black cement 3 and the concord 11 are must haves for me personally
I feel you I pre ordered mine for $500 when prices were 1200 and before anyone knew the stock numbers. But I need to guarantee my pair. Chicago 1,true blue 3 and Concord 11 are my grails got them all but the Chicago but those will ship on release. My last two cops will be the 2s coming out and those navy 4s and I'm done.

They are projected to hit 2k on Xmas if there is no restock. Either way I feel vindicated owning these and will not sell.
I'm a og and I still have my original pair of 85/86 Chicago 1's and several pairs of the 2015 Chicago 1's so these are a easy pass for me. I’d say if you don’t hit on release date cop in that 1-2 week period after the show drops. Set a realistic number that is comfortable for you to pay at resale. You can also sell sneakers you already have.
