You know what we missed? We missed having the original cast on the Falcon one last time. We missed the *RESPECT* they deserve. *NOTHING* will ever change that. We could have had simple, happy shows with ups and downs. Characters would progress, and they would influence the outcome of the plot in meaningful ways that address serious themes with grace. The shows would have been based on beloved stories that were cherry picked for success. That is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Put very simply, we could have watched our beloved cast interact. We were deprived of *DECADES* worth of closure that cannot be fabricated. Instead of respecting the wonderful characters we loved, they were butchered. Imagine Carrie Fisher, and the character she made, being respected. Just one simple nod to the fans, and a footnote in history for a beloved actress. No excuse. I am not paying one penny to watch any more of the modern woke StarWars garbage. Real female actresses are not being shown respect while the industry whines. I am sick of this woke garbage!!! edited for grammar... And Carrie Fisher will always be my most beloved Princess...

So let me make sure I get this right. They go out of their way to $h!t on the fans that made the franchise legendary, then proceeded to ask why the people they treat like garbage don’t like their product. If you can’t figure out that treating someone terribly leads to them not liking you, then I understand why you shrill harpies can’t seem to find stable relationships (straight or otherwise)

Once i heard them mention 'her mothers' my eyes rolled. Ive heard in the next episode its going to be confirmed as a female entity. Why?What?. When is this going to stop?.
My bro-in-law tried to watch it, with an open mind, and ended up turning it off during the initial fight scene. I guess there's still some hope for him.
(Shortly after the premiere of Star Wars The Acolyte, episode 3) I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.......
The best part about ignoring Disney Star Wars is that it in no way impacts my continued love for the OT and even the PT. I've got a lifetime's worth of legit Star Wars merch and physical media which will outlast all of Disney's knock offs long after they've been deleted from D+ for a tax write off.
I'm a huge lifelong fan... and now I'm done with Star Wars. I was halfway out the door after The Last Jedi. I stopped for a second to see what would happen after the season finale of The Mandalorian Season 2 and Andor, with rumours of a reset and Favreau being put in charge keeping me in place. Then rolled my eyes and finally ran out the door after Bobba Fett and Kenobi. At this point, I'm down the street while Kennedy and Headland are hanging out the window begging me to come back, "Look! a new show!". I'm yelling back to them "Good luck with that! The force is female!". To put it simply: I'm F-ing out.
I was a big star wars fan, and I remember when the prequels came out, and nearly lost my mind. I am extremely upset about the Disney-era movies and... other things... I wonder if it could get worse, and then it does.

I dont hear anyone mad about xmen 97...respecting the characters, honoring the stories that came before it and not insulting the fan base goes a long way.
The Acolyte is like a Gay Pride Star Wars SNL sketch. 😂
Creating something is hard.
I’m just gonna rewatch Revenge Of The Sith and Ewoks The Battle For Endor. They were PEAK SW. 2005 and 1985 were GOLD.
Battle for Endor was legit, had a recoding of that off of TV and probably watch a it about 100 times.
The first Ewok movie not so much…
💯
How f**king insulting is this article to OG Star Wars fans?! She didn't see it in the theater the year it came out (and as many times after as I could convince my mom to take me). She didn't see Empire in the drive-in with a gaggle of friends, oohing and aahing at the visuals, the story, the Vader-father reveal. She probably never read any of the books, much less the OG books like Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster. This woman is a jane-come-lately who wants to tell us real fans that we don't know shit about something that pre-dates her to fans who pre-date her.
Will it improve by the end of the season?
"we will not go quietly into the night. We will not vanish without a fight. We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive." all real star wars fans.
*REAL* Star Wars fans walked away a long time ago. About 9 years ago when that Force Awakens shit was released. First thing they did was kill off Han Solo. And they made sure we never got to see Han, Luke & Leia together again because they knew that was the one thing we were all waiting 30 years for. "Subverting expectations". Well I subverted my money away from Disney.
I'm looking forward to walking into Ollies in August and seeing the shelves filled with Acolyte merchandise.
Aaahhh, you're name is Jeff! After all this time it's nice to put a name to the voice. Well hello, Jeff. Keep up the good work buddy.
It's here and it's queer! We are not talking about that.
"I would call them out by name..."
But then you'd get sued for slander and libel, and I'm not even a lawyer...
I have to give credit where credit is due though. When Dafne Keen’s character said “Yord, put your clothes on” I genuinely laughed out loud. The dead pan delivery was perfect.
imagine a salesman coming to your house insulting you and then cant figure out why you wont buy their products.
Hello,
Jeff I think you should start adding "the hammer"to your name because you have definitely hit this one right on the head!!!!
Thanks for all of the WCBS you give!!
I like being called a hater ! I'm proud to be called a bigot ! I guess I'm just any kind of IST , PHOBE or ISM that you can think of !
I'm tired of the weirdos and their crap ! The pendulum is swinging back !
But when are we going to start asking the important questions?
What gender does Admiral Ackbar identify as?
What are their preferred pronouns?
What is their sexual orientation?
Why were only a red Mon Calamari shown?
Why is no body concerned about the lack of diversity in the depiction of Mon Calamari in Star Wars?
And don’t get me started on the how all the members of the Modal Nodes look exactly the same, a shameful lack of DEI representation of the Bith people.
Star Wars and all other entertainment is basically a dancing monkey. We don’t have to like everything Disney throws out, we don’t have to like any of it, our job is not to kiss the arse of every insecure muppet who makes a fool of themselves, no our job is to and follow me on this…..is whatever job we have in the real world. When i saw the trailer for the acolyte all I said was “boring” and moved on with my day but if I’m going to be insulted for calling a spade a spade then to quote Yugioh “I sharpen my claws for attack mode” and go full scorched earth.
I accept that challenge. Who ever wrote that article. I seen a new hope 32 times in theater!! On HBO 92 times. I was 9 when a new hope came out.
So I will put my Star Wars knowledge up against any dei Disney hires. Anytime anywhere. !!!!!!
"This is the gayest star wars ever!"
Translation; we made another piece of sh*t series because we have no talent to make a good story with good characters, and we're using a paper shield of 'you're all bigots' to deflect all legitimate criticism.
What I appreciate is that you watched The Acolyte so I don't have to! After the sequel trilogy, I've just moved on from Star Wars after being a Star Wars fan since 1977.
This is a great take. Good job.
I wonder which episode Henry Winkler shows up in to jump the shark...
Holy Crap 🤣🤣🤣
They think we're angry, lol. It's way past that point. To be angry you have to care, and we don't...Not anymore
Remember: This is the first time Disney had to pull out numbers on the first day.
Can't wait for your Acolyte merch sale reports, Jeff 👍
Once i heard them mention 'her mothers' my eyes rolled.
Ive heard in the next episode its going to be confirmed as a female entity.
Why?What?. When is this going to stop?.
5:08 funny how they say their show is "inclusive" but at the same time it's only for them
My bro-in-law tried to watch it, with an open mind, and ended up turning it off during the initial fight scene. I guess there's still some hope for him.
(Shortly after the premiere of Star Wars The Acolyte, episode 3) I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.......
85% Critic Score & 13% Audience score Now.
The article missed one thing. Used to love, past tense. Plenty of people used to love star wars, but have nothing but apathy towards what its become.
The best part about ignoring Disney Star Wars is that it in no way impacts my continued love for the OT and even the PT. I've got a lifetime's worth of legit Star Wars merch and physical media which will outlast all of Disney's knock offs long after they've been deleted from D+ for a tax write off.
Hard to believe decades ago that Star Wars was considered awesome and Disney movies were known for their high quality production.
❤ very well said, sir!❤
Finally something to give Ollie's a reason to just trash the Holdo figures, Shuri copters, and Eternals disc launchers to free up more room.
I wrote it off before it released because Disney and Lucas said it wasn't for me, so why would I watch it. You literally told me it was NOT for me
Star Wars has been dead 💀 to me for years! I'll stick with my original trilogies on blu-ray!
The force is round with the acolyte. Round and heavy
Fantastic commentary on the truth of and state of modern Star Wars....
Well said.
Great video
I admit... I am no longer a "Star Wars 'fan'." Glad we cleared that up.
My god. If this article isn’t a perfect example of accusing your opponents of doing what you are actually doing yourself, then I don’t know what is…..
And either they are too dense to notice or they just don't care and want everyone thinking like they do.
I was a big star wars fan, and I remember when the prequels came out, and nearly lost my mind. I am extremely upset about the Disney-era movies and... other things... I wonder if it could get worse, and then it does.
