I also have a scar in the middle of my nose from when I was little I tripped on the floor and onto a porch where a nail was sticking up and it cut open
I know! I have noticed her mouth but it was because I thought she had a beautiful smile. I think smiles are more beautiful when they aren't symmetrical as to balanced smiles.
When I was about 11 years old, I was playing in the park near our house with my best friend. God only knows why I did this, but I was crawling on the floor underneath the slide, and little did I know, there was a piece of glass right there in front of my trajectory. Slit my knee right open. Didn’t hurt at all, but I cried because it looked scary. My mother has the exact same scar on the same leg and same position on the knee... hmmm
That email is incredibly rude. Part of the reason why I love buzzfeed videos is because they show real women doing real things, which is much more relatable than a model doing something perfectly in every video!

It just shows the society we live in. We have a open world that thinks that everything is everyone's business and everyone feels like their opinions are right. Exactly I have always found her very beautiful.. In fact I really liked her lips in those testing lipstick videos... I spilt boiling hot tea on my hand in the car last year when I was wearing gloves and it was the worst! Took my 20 minutes to get home a put it in some lukewarm water. I had second degree burns, but luckily no permanent scarring, but now I'm kinda sad because I can't say "I spilt the tea"

When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I used to always take my shoes off because I thought they were uncomfortable. So one day, my mum took me and my older brother to a kids' library about a 10-15 minute walk away from our house. I don't know what my brother was doing (probably playing about), and my mum was sat with some other parents drinking some coffee and whatnot. I sat on one of those little, plastic, kids' chairs that were next to a wooden box of books. I leaned forwards to take my shoes off and hit my head on the sharp corner of the box. I didn't quite crack my head open, but there was a pretty nasty cut. There was a lot of blood and crying. One of the other parents ran into the kitchen area and got a wet cloth to hold over my head while my mum tried to comfort me. Keep in mind, I lived in a small town, and the closest hospital was about a 20-30 minute drive away, and it wasn't even a really good-quality hospital anyway. We only had one car, and my dad was using it because he worked in London. My mum ended up running through the high street with me and my brother in a pram (or a stroller for you Americans), to the doctor's office on the other side of town. I didn't get stitches, they just used a medical glue to seal the cut up. I have absolutely no memory of this- not because I hit my head, I was just young when it happened. I now only have a small dent on my left eyelid. It isn't super noticeable unless you look closely or I have my eyes closed. I'm just glad I don't remember the pain.
I never knew Chantel had a scar...I did notice that her lips were maybe a little crooked when she talked and smiled, but didin't realize it was a scar.
That email to chantel was gross and so rude! Not everyone one has the same lips, I love her lips because they make her unique and same with Kristen's scars, they both are beautiful
@@something3370 Well I was at my friends house and I was already scared of he dog because it was growling at me the whole entire time and we were going to make slime so we were gonna go find activater we were in the hallway it was a small hallway and the dog jumped on me out of no where and bit me I cried for about 30seconds then my dad took me to the hospital and a part of my lip was missing
I have a (very faded) scar in the middle of my cheek. When I was in day care, a boy stabbed my face with a safety scissor. 😅😅😅 So safety scissors...not very safe.
I call my scars memories. I have scars on my hands from when I was a hairstylist cutting my finger instead of hair. I have a scar on my finger from when I was opening a can of cat food and it flung open cutting me. I have a scar on my lip from when I bathed my cat squeaker and he freaked out and clawed me trying to get out of the water. That was the first time I bathed him with out me in the tub so he was scared and wanted me to console him. I have a scar on my arm from the first time I cooked by my self and burnt it. But my favourite scars are from my carpel tunnel surgeries. They are my favourite because they are scars I actually wanted. I got carpel tunnel when I was 19 it took the drs 3 years to finally believe me when I said I needed the surgeries.
Personally I don't want to see a perfect model in any picture or video even if it's instructional, I want to see a woman that I can relate to and not make me feel inadequate and less than. That's why I love lady like, because y'all are REAL women I feel I can relate and connect to. That makes her more unique and beautiful to me. I have a huge scar running horizontally across my stomach from when I was a baby. I was born premature by a few months and my intestines and whatnot hadn't formed correctly and were closed off in many places they weren't supposed to be. They cut me open and fixed me all up and now I'm 26 and I never even think about it. It's just a part of me now ya know? I'm just a little different. I also have had Dermatillomania since at least the fifth grade which is as far back as I can remember doing it or at least getting in trouble for it in class which has never been a pleasant experience.
I have self harm scars that I'm super self conscious about and I get asked about them very often or I get made fun of. I'm learning to love myself despite my scars and learning not to care what people think. Seeing the positive attitude you guys have towards your scars helps a lot. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ray Ray Anne I’ve been clean for a year but my deepest ones are still there. They’re light colored so they match my skin but sometimes people notice it and question it. My worst one is about 2-3 years old.. yeah that shows that getting help is a great option and self harm is something that needs to be dealt with .
This must be hard to deal with, but let me tell you, when I see people with self harm scars that are trying to get help, get better, or are happy and living the best that they can, I never comment because I wouldn't want them to feel self conscious, but I feel proud of them, because I know what it feels like to get to that point and to pull yourself up and out of the darkness.
I’m apparently more non observant than I thought bc it’s been years and I’ve never noticed either scar but now that they’ve been pointed out they’re glaringly obvious
I have a scar from reaching up to the top of my closet and my arm got stabbed by a broken hanger. And one from hitting my foot against a dishwasher. And one forming from a recent shaving incident on my leg. *My scars accurately reflect the way I am*
I saw this quote that said don’t be ashamed of your scars. They are a visible reminder that you are stronger than the thing that tried to take you out.
You guys didn't need to talk about this, but I am nosey, so I appreciate it. You are both beautiful women, inside and out! I think your confidence with your "imperfections" will inspire many:). Much love to you both and anyone else who happens to read this💕
daxaroundtheworld lol, I'm nosey too! I just didn't feel the need to comment on a video that wasn't about that you know? But like you, now I'm like, oh, ok cool.
From the ages of 3-6 I have gotten four scars from dog bites. Three on my face, (lips, top of my nose, and right eyebrow) and a dog bite on my arm from a dog that got lose from its owner while on a walk. Then about a year ago I don’t know if you can class these next two as scars but I do; I burnt my stomach with an iron by accident and then just after that, I slept on a bracelet which then cut my hand in the middle of the night. I have been asked about these scars and all I’m proud of the and embrace them everyday. Scars are beautiful! ❤️
That is so mean the way people pointed out there scars I mean it's a scar so what why point it out and I mean why was everyone so negative? Please no hate. By the way I love this video.
I have a lip scar that causes the left side of my lip to droop. Mine was a domestic violence injury. I was hit and ended up with stitches inside and outside my mouth because I had a hole through my lip. An instructional video that shows how something will look on real imperfect bodies is the absolute ideal instructional video to me!
I noticed Kristin's neck scar but was just like "ok, scar, cool. Wonder what happened?" That's it. NEVER noticed Chantel's lip scar until she pointed it out. But my more pressing concern is.... WHAT LIPSTICK IS CHANTEL WEARING??? The color is amazing!!
no matter the scars, they will always be beautiful. and i kinda think her lip scar is adorable. and the scar on her neck just feels like its telling u something, which is so cool
I know this video is very old, but I loved the immediate reaction Kristen had about the email Chantel got. You could see it came from a person who has experienced being made feel like they are not adequate, has grown enough confidence to not care anymore and it's at a point where she just doesn't have time for people who always find ways to make people feel like they're not enough
I have selfharm scars and I love them they are apart of me and they make me who I am they tell a story. They show me I am strong enough. I am 3 years clean !!!!!!
I did notice a tiny bit that chantel's lip was little idk like that but I didn't pay attention to it or thought that it was a scar or that wasn't "normal"
I have a row of small white scars going down my right knee because I climbed over a barbed wire fence a little less carefully than normal. Farm girl probs
Natalie Palmer I have a row of scars completely down one leg from chasing my cow dog on a trailer and falling down the ramp. I feel you lol. (Also same last name- kinda cool)
OKAY HOLD THE PHONE ☎️ If it is a lipstick video then it should have what actual civilization looks like not these woman photoshopped to be something they’re not! Thank you two so much. Bless all of our scars every one 💓
I have a scar down the middle of my chest from open heart surgery from when I was 7 days old, I mostly forget about it but people notice every once in a while and I’m not shamed of it. I’m proud to be a survivor from a heart condition :) (I am now about to be 14 years old p.s. thanks for so many comments and likes!!!)
I have a scare on my knee from falling down my stairs. I cut my knee I tough it was fine it got infected. We went to the doctors office and I had also mocked my knee cap out of place, later, I fell off a horse and cut my ankle open by landing on sage brush. on the same leg this happened so I have a scar shaped like a jet on my knee and a rose shaped on on my ankle
Didn't even notice the scars, Don't let people like the one that sent Chantel those emails get inside your head. People like that look for flaws so they can judge that person. People with scars make them unique and that;s not a bad thing. Be proud of who you are don't let others tell you who you have to be, be you and stay you, don't blend into a crowd be the one to stand out. Love you guys!
I have small scars on my legs. They are from when I was a child and I was abused. I used to be ashamed to wear shorts because of them. Now I am older, and people ask about them. I politely say they are battle scars of life.
Just being be to say that publicly even means a lot to me. You are a very strong individual and you should live yourself because I definately love your attitude 💜

In my opinion chantels lip scar makes her more beautiful
Yeah. It’s kinda creepy if someone’s face is perfect
thx. even if I'm not her thx
I saw that her lips curled more toward one side but i just thought she was a smirker. I do it all the time.
I guess
I agree and these kind of things make everyone more unique and beautiful
I really can’t see the scar on her lip, they put a arrow pointing at where it is and I still can’t see it lol
its not really a scar, but more of how one side of her lip is down more.

Same
Right. I was looking so hard at it too. I see nothing
That email to chantel was gross and so rude! Not everyone one has the same lips, I love her lips because they make her unique and same with Kristen's scars, they both are beautiful
I have a scar covering half of my lip from a dog bite
Jenna Benjamin if you don't mind me asking. What happened?
@@something3370 Idk A dog bit me

@@something3370 Well I was at my friends house and I was already scared of he dog because it was growling at me the whole entire time and we were going to make slime so we were gonna go find activater we were in the hallway it was a small hallway and the dog jumped on me out of no where and bit me I cried for about 30seconds then my dad took me to the hospital and a part of my lip was missing

I have a (very faded) scar in the middle of my cheek. When I was in day care, a boy stabbed my face with a safety scissor. 😅😅😅 So safety scissors...not very safe.
I didn’t realize how many people have scars from safety scissors
OMG what the frick last parts funny "so safety scissors... not vary safe"but that's not funny that he did that
What is wrong with that boy?!?!?! 😅😅😅😂😂😂
@@apittman6243 lol, I couldn't really blame him tho. 😂 When it happened, he and I were only 1 or 2 years old.
Shan Hu Oh. 😂 Well at least it wasn’t intentional, I suppose.
I also have had Dermatillomania since at least the fifth grade which is as far back as I can remember doing it or at least getting in trouble for it in class which has never been a pleasant experience.
same, I hate when the models are like really beautiful, but that is not how it is in real life...

I actually think that Chantel’s face and smile look really pretty in that video. The email woman was so rude!

@@Sno_White23 you are such a trooper ray ray anne, i would never be as brave as you, your a rockstar!!

You are 100% right!

I always thought that was just Chantel’s normal smile. Like, amazingly beautiful smile, would have never thought it was a scar.

To be fair never noticed Kristin had that scar on her neck
I know this video is very old, but I loved the immediate reaction Kristen had about the email Chantel got. You could see it came from a person who has experienced being made feel like they are not adequate, has grown enough confidence to not care anymore and it's at a point where she just doesn't have time for people who always find ways to make people feel like they're not enough
I have selfharm scars and I love them they are apart of me and they make me who I am they tell a story. They show me I am strong enough. I am 3 years clean !!!!!!
good for you im not that confadent yet :)

Sofia Isabella i have the same scar!!! i never really felt super confident about it until my sister said ‘dude it’s 2018. scars are cool’
Sofia Isabella my 3 year old son has a scar down the center of his chest too! He had open heart surgery at 5 days old!
Sofia Isabella my brother had open heart surgery when he was just one day old but I’m glad that you had someone to save your life
Sofia Isabella aww omg that’s so cool! 💗
