It really makes me upset to see people commenting that she's a terrible mom. There is no "one size fits all" for being a mom! She works full time and takes care of two little boys. I think she's doing amazing, and all these little experiments she gets to do with her boys for the series probably brings them all closer. This probably could have been handled better. It's a good idea but I think using puzzles and maybe bringing the kids to the library and engaging with them there? Or attempting board game would have made time go by? Overall it was a great effort. Its healthy to realize how overly attached we are to technology.

Behàn I was mainly referring to her complaints about silent car trips. Libraries carry both CDs and audio books. Not boring or time consuming if your alternative is a silent car ride anyway. 🙂

I would use technology anyways if I didn't get a good reason not to, I think that is why most people use technology. If I had to to this (I think should do this some day since I spend too much time on the Internet) these are the things I'd do: 1. Try to improve my drawing/painting skills. 2. Learn some random classical song(s) on piano. 3. Get back to reading (I used to read a lot when I was in elementary school. Middle school kinda ruined me.) and read a couple of books. 4. Clean (my house always needs cleaning) 5. Go fking outside! (I really need fresh air. 6. Do sports and work out since I'm in a really bad shape. 7. Write poems or something. 8. Fill in some crosswords and sudokus. 9. Get sleep because my phone keeps me awake all night. Yeah. Maybe I should definitely do this because it would improve my lifestyle so much!!!

You need a mix. I spend most of my time playing videogames or practising lightsabre skills (I'm trying to set a new record for lightsabre spinning, long story) and I read just before I go to bed. I don't read as much now, because I've ran out of books.

There is a reason kids are so disengaged in schools, learning to create when you are bored is a part of the problem.

3. Get back to reading (I used to read a lot when I was in elementary school. Middle school kinda ruined me.) and read a couple of books.

6. Do sports and work out since I'm in a really bad shape.
7. Write poems or something.
8. Fill in some crosswords and sudokus.
9. Get sleep because my phone keeps me awake all night.

I think some form of hate comment is ok on this video as long as it isn't a treat. the main character of this video didn't express understanding towards technology and also didn't learn anything from the week. TheBookWorm1718 yes that is the point. Parents today don’t know how to let their kids be bored... we think we have to entertain them all the time or let them consume from a device to be entertained. I am a teacher- also a parent- and a big advocate for innovation and tech integration, but I am also a huge advocate of letting kids create instead of passively consume. There is a reason kids are so disengaged in schools, learning to create when you are bored is a part of the problem.
After seeing a couple of her videos; I love seeing how encouraging she is as a mother. Bless
