    Hi Carrie. Been watching your videos for several days. Your style is so lovely, relaxed and yet lively. Thank you for giving your time and energy to helping others with this. My frustration is that I never see the notes, recipes etc when you say they are below. I am on an iPad. Would this make a difference. Any ideas on how I could get them, please?

      Thank you, glad my videos are helpful to you ☺️. They are all listed in the description, so maybe you need to click something to expand them. If it’s like the iPhone app, there is a little triangle to the right of the video title, click that and it’ll show the video description with all the links etc xx

    Wait Wait Wait! I can have popcorn? Well I don't really need anything else. Makes this FODMAP journey much easier. My most favorite food. Thanks.

      Haha, I'm going to imagine that now you'll walk around everywhere with one of those big buckets of popcorn you get at the cinema. On the train, bank appointments, in the shower, weddings...

    Love this, do more please. I’m not vegan, but may get there and love all the ideas you give. True.y helps when you have to follow a low fodmaps diet.

    I now take the skins off chick peas before cooking or making hummis and its easier to digest. It also makes hummis SUPER SMOOTHE when you take the skins off first.

    Love yr videos! I m finally trying the low fodmap and i think it is helping. My dietitian is on vacation for a while. Someone know if my garlic oil is ok? I heated olive oil, turned off heat, added garlic clove cut in half and then let it sit for about one hour. Problem is i forgot to remove the garlic from the oil before i put it in fridge. It s been in fridge like that for a week or so. Is it still considered low fodmap?

    Hi Carrie thank you for your vids really informative and easy to prep for a newbie like me. Still finding it a bit daunting and trying to swap out all the high fodmaps in my diet and get a better understanding of why my "old" choices were causing me so much trouble! I was really struggling with deserts and snacks because I was used to reaching for an apple or banana. I will definitely try the chia seed energy balls w as I need to take a snack out with me whilst running. Many thanks again

    thank you for the videos, i recently had extensive small bowel surgery and im starting the low fodmap to see how my body adjusts. I was (am) very athletic , playing hockey 3x a week and weight training 5-6 days. Im hoping my body can adjust to this and i can get my life back. I feel frustrated with all this but these videos and reading your info has been a great pick me up, thank you!- christain

      So glad my videos could help! It's definitely a bit of challenge to eat enough so you have to be really intentional about it. I hope you're recovering well xx

      Carrie Gill Thank you! yes I'm doing good but it's tough. I feel like I spend so much time in the kitchen and shopping that it consumes my days. I guess that's to be expected. Best of luck with your health and the channel!!

    Carrie listen popcorn is a trigger how can it be low fod map

    • @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject
      @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Monash University tested it and found it to be low FODMAP. I imagine a lot of shop bought popcorns may have high-fructose syrups added which would make it high FODMAP

    Love your videos! :) Is garam masala okay? It was one of my favourite things pre low-fodmap. But then i looked and it had so many ingredients i was overwhelmed and have avoided it :(

    • @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject
      @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi freya, Garam Masala is usually a safe bet but yeah, gotta double check for the dreaded garlic and onion. If you're UK based I know the sainsbury's one is lo-fo xx

    This is funny😂 One of my favourite snack is low fodmap banana bread with some kind of nut butter😍 Btw the energy balls look amazing!!

      @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh my goodness, that sounds so good! How do you make the banana bread??

    • @AA-nw7hi
      @AA-nw7hi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carrie Gill www.polveredivaniglia.it/banana-bread-pane-di-banane/ Here you can find the recipe, this is an italian site but there is an english version for every recipe I think😉 Btw it requires 2 eggs, I think you can easily use flaxseed/chia eggs, and I suggest using cream of tartar if you want 😃

    • @LacuisinedeCeline
      @LacuisinedeCeline 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AA-nw7hi is it considered low fodmap if the bananas i take from freezer were very ripe before i froze them?

    hi! that’s what i was looking for, a vegan fodmap diet explained! can you make a video with a meal plan example for the elimination phase if you are not allowed to have sour salty and spices due to gastritis n gerd;( also subbed)

    • @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject
      @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll be honest, I don't know a great deal about how to eat for gastritis/GERD, but this "What I Eat In A Day" video might be useful to work off th-cam.com/video/hyouJGVtT_c/w-d-xo.html xx

    Chickpeas are not low FODMAP. They are a medium FODMAP so if you are in elimination process chickpea would not be a good choice.

    • @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject
      @CarrieGill_TheWildGutProject  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The portion size is key here! Double check the Monash FODMAP app and you'll see 1/4 cup of canned chickpeas are rated as low FODMAP x
