they tie in so well they look amazing! sorry about the mishaps with the tape and all, but the work really did pay off in these older videos. im curious now, looking at all the other videos ive watched recently, so see which are more recent and what it all looks like now. great work though. i envy your ability to enjoy so much awesome scale toys! love your switching and work videos as well. im a 'sorter' by nature, so i just enjoy watching things work. :)

I've noticed a good backdrop and a nice blue sky can turn an already good layout into an amazing layout.
One of the biggest problems I had with all the model train layouts growing up was how you could never really get immersed in the world that had been created, because you could always see a wall a layout edge just a few inches from the tracks, even the professionally created layouts you could always tell were just some tracks laid on a few wooden tables.
The colour blue has this amazing effect on scenes, by giving a shot a realistic blue sky, it makes the whole thing look bigger, and makes the details of the scene seem less crowded, the blending you did with the backdrops combined with the believable blue sky make the whole layout look more alive and real.
By the way, are those tracks code 55? because I actually thought this was an HO scale layout for the two or three videos I watched, until you flat out said it was an N scale layout.

now that your backdrop has been up for awhile..have you noticed any "droop or curl" at the top edge of the photos seeing it is a tad away from the wall using the double sided tape holding it in place? Tom
