    When I started dressing better I did get a lot of people and peers asking me why I'm so dressed up and even had a buddy of mine make fun of me for it. But keep at it, fellas; the pros are by far worth the very few cons. I get compliments (especially from young women my age) way more than negative feedback and I was just told by that one buddy who is by far my biggest critic that I was the only person who could pull off these looks and rock it. Keep at it, gents and you'll be even able to turn some of the nay sayers around! Dress to respect yourself and others

    • @jackhammer0101
      @jackhammer0101 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol.. As if dressing your way is self respect.. That's the actual problem, you have to be a lefty.. You think everyone should think like you, and that your way is the right way.. If you like dressing like that go for it.. But don't try and indoctrinate others to believe respect comes in the form of formal dress.. It doesn't..

    • @DemetriosLevi
      @DemetriosLevi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jackhammer0101 what are you on about? I'm conservative Orthodox Christian lol When have I said everyone should dress like me? Don't straw man my argument. I respect myself and I *reflect* that in the way I dress. The way I dress is a physical manifestation of certain aspects about myself that is also respectful to the people around me so as to not look like a slob. I never said it's the only way to dress or the only way towards self respect, nor have I said to only dress the way you wish. You sound more leftist to me saying I'm indoctrinating people because I believe it's respectful to dress nicer and not look like a slob lol Instead of judging me while clearly knowing nothing about me, stay humble, watch my vids on this very topic, or go read a book

    Most men wear suit/trousers+shirt+tie or a work uniform their working lives. By the time they are 40, they have wore that outfit 5 days per week for the best part of 2 decades.
    The last thing they want to do is 'dress their age' which essentially means to go out in public like they have been doing day in day out since they started working.
    It should be the opposite & they finally get to dress down & be more comfy as they age. A suit, dress shirt+tie should only be for special occasions. Shorts & t-shirts to lounge about the house, garden for their days off, while jeans/chino & a casual shirt/polo if they are going to something semi-official.
    The dressing up as they get older gentleman schtick went out with people's grandfathers.

    I would say dress to your attributes,you may of noticed there are men,though Not young,but still have youth,I mean a 40 something year old guy with a baby face and six pack(the actor Jared Leto),probably isn’t going to dress like a old dude,I’ve known guys in their 30s that look 22,and there are guys in their 30s that look way old, flabby dad bod etc,in this era the same rules don’t apply,er Brad Pitt or Will Smith are still have six and eight packs,a youthfulness plays a part in how you may choose to dress..The World isn’t the same as it was in decades past....I understand you try to give advice,but your ideas are a little out of date..

    Ha ha...it's like asking how to ride a horse appropriate for your age.
    You don't dress for society expectations. You need to dress to question society expectations. Most renowned designers are known to design things the society has never expected. If they just kept on making what society expects we wouldn't have the amazing designs we have today. In the same time the reason why vintages become hits is because society doesn't expect vintages either.

    Luckily I can still pass as being in my early 20s. So, I wear a lot of fun, bright colors. Lots of my clothes are authentic 80s clothes, since I missed out the first time around. When I was in college, the algebra teacher told us all to look around the room and notice the type of clothes everybody was wearing. You can imagine what the 18-23 year olds looked like, in this class that nobody in particular wants to be in. He then said that we were potentially in the same room with our future employer and that is what we should all be thinking about everyday when your deciding how you want to dress, look and represent yourselves.

    Can't tell you how many 50+ year olds dress like its high school ... and they got drunk over the weekend, slept in their clothes ... clothes they haven't bought since high school. Then they complain women aren't interested. Um, well, you look like a kid and a bum. At 50 this is the best you've accomplished? (Personally, I'm in my 40's and if I'm wearing clothes that look like they come from the 1930's its a good day for me. You won't see me in t-shirts except at home, and then I change to go out even to the grocery store. I love that era and I get complimented constantly, even from coworkers who have known me for years. Plus, it make me feel good about myself.)

The amount of beer-bellied, cargo short and football-jersey wearing 40+ year olds I see is a little scary, even at work. I don't subscribe to a difference in dress as you age. If it looks bad at 20, it's bad at 50. And, visa versa. It you can "pull it off," it's just that you good and whatever clothes look better on a better looking person.

    I like to wear Highland wear.
    I guess that is standing out. 😆
    Having said that it is very easy to dress”up” or ”down”.
    There is formal Highland wear after all equivalent of white or black tie.
    Also, ”like” doesent mean ”have to” or ”insist on”.
    I gladly dress for what the situation demands.
    I like suits and…pretty much the stuff in your videos.
    One thing i’m thinking of is getting a black tie outfit ( tuxedo).
    I do have white tie and being a lodge guy reasons to wear it.
    I do find myself wearing jeans and a t-shirt more than i should. 🤵‍♀️

    Hi Antonio. I love the videos. I have an idea for a video inspired by this one. What about a series of similar videos that are dedicated to the different regions in America. For instance I'm 52 years old and live in Georgia. Maybe one video that deals with how different age groups should dress in the southeast, another dealing with the Midwest, another dealing with the northeast, etc. Keep up the good work!
