- After seeing the Brekr at the Motorbeurs Utrecht in 2020 i had a testride planned for 2020.
With Corona everything was halted and moved. So I saw the chance to experience it I knew I had to take it.
Interesting to see how it holds up to the Super Soco, also considering the price difference.
And how does the Brekr do offroad? I couldn't let that one slip ofcourse.
Sadly no real-life battery life and/or range test, but this is what Brekr themselves state:
"Brekr Model B has the capacity to house two removable batteries. A single battery has a capacity of 2,0 kWh, allowing you to cover a distance of 50 to 80 kilometers.
Adding a second battery increases this range to 100 - 160 kilometers. "

Hey! Do you think the 1000 extra for the brekr over the super soco is worth it? I am looking for a bike styled electric scooter. I don't like those normal big scooters they have in The Netherlands, I like my legs to be free like a bycicle.

They do have roughly the same battery life, the same top speed (although i could get the Soco a bit faster), and the same charging options (battery is removable etc).
But the Brekr has better wheels and road contact, and feels more planted, so better lean-angle.
They also have more options, but more options means more costs.
So for pure city use, probably the same.
For more curvy roads and once in a while a fun ride, probably the Brekr.

@@Meifesto Dankjewel voor je antwoord. Ik denk dat ik toch maar stevig ga overwegen de Brekr te nemen. Ik vind hem zelf er qua looks ook erg tof uit zien. Ik ben eigenlijk op zoek naar een scooter die het meest voelt alsof je op een fiets zit. Dat lijkt met deze Brekr wel het geval. Voelt het alsof je op een fiets zit?
@@iCupboard Ja, hij is wel degelijk smaller dan meeste scooters, en dus meer een fiets positie.
Sturen zal altijd wat anders aanvoelen door het gewichtsverschil natuurlijk ;)
Hoe is de kwaliteit? niu en supersoco is echt plastic rotzooi.. supersoco gehad en snel weer weggedaan! wat een bak troep.. hoe zijn de componenten op deze fiets?
Stevig voor zo ver ik kon zien.
In elk geval minder plastic, wat logisch is gezien hij vrij "kaal" is.
SuperSoco heb ik een week te leen gehad, die beviel me ook best wel. Voornamelijk de range was een verbazing.
Als het goed is krijg ik de Brekr nog eens een week ergens deze zomer.
Kijken of ik daarmee ook naar Dordrecht kan rijden ^^

Geen idee. Wat ik zou snel kan vinden is;
1. IEC 32133 &
2. Electrical safety; 3-layers: BMS (2x) + fuse

Jealous that you can go 50kmh in NL, Germany only allows 45 which is stupid and dangerous.
Officially also only 45km/h for scooters.
Depending on city and/or area sometimes on the bicycle lane and sometimes on the main road.
So in some cases you are in danger, in some cases you are the danger 🤣
Allot of scooters are capable of reaching 50, even with the limit of 45 ;)
Tis geen breeker maar een brekr en geen scooter maar een brommer 😅

En in English is moped or scooter vrij gelijkwaardig, en gebruiken de meeste de term scooter ;)
