The Voyage TARDIS interior is based off the 60's TARDISes (the First Doctor and Second Doctor's) and the Warrior's TARDIS (Big Finish). The exterior is basically a TT Capsule, much like the Type 55. There's a few skins on the exterior and in the interior with the Console and the Rotor. And it also has a custom vortex, similar to the Twice Upon A Time one.
The Rymill TARDIS is a completely custom TARDIS. It has a Police Box exterior that is similar to William Hartnell's but mostly custom. The interior is very large and has a blue theme in all the lighting and the textures. It's quite a large TARDIS, similar to the Matt Smith's Toyota interior as it's blue and quite empty. It has the original TARDIS back wall, a large new-who style rotor, a custom futuristic console, and custom roundels. It has a Fourth Doctor style vortex too.
The Rani's TARDIS is based off the one from the late era of Classic Who. The Rani is another timelord and was played by Kate O'Mara. It has a cabinet exterior, because of the chameleon circuit, as seen in the show. The interior is dark and stone-like but because of the very low budget during the Colin Baker era, it doesn't look very good. It has the 6th Doctor vortex and many references to the Classic Who episodes it was in like Dinosaurs in jars.
The Doctor Who Experience David Bradley TARDIS, also known as the Doctor Who Experience First Doctor TARDIS set, is based off the one from the Dr Who Experience. But that was based off the one with David Bradley's William Hartnell in 'An Adventure in Space and Time'. But that one was based off the one from An Unearthly Child/1st Doctor. This TARDIS has so many easter eggs and details throughout. As well as the Ruth Doctor vortex.
The 2023+ TARDIS is the TARDIS used by the 14th Doctor and the 15th Doctor (David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa). It was used in the 60th anniversary specials and in Season One and Season Two. This is still a work in progress in Gmod but has a very similar exterior to the 13th Doctor's TARDIS, but a very unique interior.
Doctor Who is a British science fiction series, first aired on November 23rd 1963, and has since become a global cultural icon. Produced by the BBC, with Bad Wolf Studios and Disney+ now involved, it follows the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels through time and space in the TARDIS, a ship disguised as a blue British police box. With its blend of Sci-Fi, adventure, and emotional storytelling, the show has captivated audiences across generations.
The Doctor is famous for their ability to regenerate into a new form, allowing different actors to portray the character. From the First Doctor (William Hartnell) to the current Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa), each regeneration has brought a unique take to the beloved role. Revealed in ‘The Giggle’, the Doctor can also bi-generate like the 14th Doctor did to become the 15th doctor.
Other notable Doctors include Tom Baker, known for his iconic long scarf; David Tennant, celebrated for his emotional depth; and Jodie Whittaker, the first woman to take on the role, marking a new era of inclusivity.
Companions are equally vital, offering viewers a relatable lens into the Doctor's adventures. From Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), a fan-favorite companion, to Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), who returned in ‘The Star Beast’, Ruby Sunday, the current companion, these characters act as an audience surrogate. Villains like the Daleks, Cybermen, and the terrifying Weeping Angels have become cultural staples in science fiction thanks to Dr Who.
2024 saw the first full season release in May with Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson on their adventures in the new TARDIS. For Christmas Doctor Who released the Xmas Special ‘Joy To The World’ released on BBC and Disney+ and written by Steven Moffat who wrote Matt Smith’s and Peter Capaldi’s 11th & 12th Doctor’s. This special stars Nicola Coughlan as Joy acting as an episode-long companion which is common for a Christmas Special. The next season, season two, will star Varada Sethu alongside Ncuti as the companion as well as returning characters like Ruby Sunday and her family as well as Mrs Flood as played by Anita Dobson.
