Patrick I'm so sorry about your cycling accident I'm glad you're recovering. I can't wait for you to get back to the cello and start recording I love your stuff it is really beautiful
Patrick, I wish you a very speedy recovery! Take care! Marnie, baby your sweetie! My first piano recital piece at 9 years old was Braham's Lullaby played for memory.
Patrick, glad to see that you're mending well. Thanks to both of you for sharing your gifts of music. I first saw you performing The Swan. It was magical.
I do have one request, my youngest son Little David passed away when he was 16 back in 2015. The song that makes me always remember him is Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson. I know you are both very busy, but if you could cover that song I would love to hear your version. Thank you, and I do understand if you do not have time. Much love to you both...💗
Patrick reminds me so much of my brother. Which is a good thing! Keep up the good work, Duo! Maybe in the near future those kids of yours will start joining in the ensemble? That would be cute.
Well, Brooklyn Duo, so pleased to get to know you a little! Whatever qualifications you have, you're definitely much more qualified in music than me! (Not hard!) Heeeyyy, Patrick! I was already a fan of your cello-playing but, now that I know you're a cyclist......! Well, what can I say, you touched me deeply, as I have been a bike rider since the age of 14 (in 1958). I raced for quite a few years, with little breaks here and there. Still trying to ride. However, back to the reason for the 'chat'.....enjoyed listening to all your answers and so - finally - I can understand why you are such terrific artists together! Maybe you might even come 'Down Under' and perform at the famous Sydney Opera House one day. There is a concert hall in it, as well as the opera theatre. I'd even get to that, despite being 'waaay out in the countryside. My dream is to go to La Scala one day but I doubt it will happen. Best wishes for the future!
I walked down the aisle 3 months ago to your rendition of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love”. It was so beautiful. I will never forget the happiest day of my life or this song. Thank you ❤
Hey, enjoyed this Q&A's. Fun and lovely of you to share with us your viewers. Glad the elbow is on the mend, looking forward to up coming posts. Love your music. 🎶 great team. 👍
This was such a treat to watch.💜 I really hope you guys do more Q & A's like this. It's so weird to hear you say that a mention in a tweet from Taylor Swift was a memorable moment for you. I wish I knew how to adequately articulate how much I love your music. I like Taylor but when it comes to any other musician/ singer vs you guys... lets just say it's Taylor 7 Brooklyn Duo 10. You guys win, hands down! You are both so talented. Marnie, you have inspired me to learn how to play the piano. I love how respectful you are to each other. You both have such a calm, gentle and loving dynamic and that's really nice to see as well. Looking forward to more music from you.
What a wonderful video! It is always great to see behind the scenes content with honest and transparent answers about how the process actually works! Can't wait for you guys to start doing live shows so I can make it out and see you! Patrick, keep up with the healing process, so glad it wasn't more serious!
Do you think your children will be interested in music? Brooklyn sister and brother ? I love your music it calms me down after stressful working days helps me sleep
I'm not a piano fan, but together with cello, the music is so good. I started listening to Piano Guys. Love them, and love you two. Thank you and stay well!
This duo is impressive, sublime, pure in performances that are really harmonious, perfect... also a beautiful couple. God bless you. Please, I would like to see those times that fail, that one does not enter at the right moment, and they have to stop in the execution to laugh. It would be great to see those videos! Please show them.
Really enjoyed this, it answers questions that I've thought of while listening to ya'll. Recently found your channel and subbed. Although I am not a true follower of classical music, I do love true professionals and with your varied styles you cover just convinced me and had me looking at several of your videos. I have to say the two of you are fantastic in your own right, and together the way you arrange your music is spellbinding. You are each truly blessed and yall have a couple of beautiful children. It will be interesting to see if they are drawn to follow in your footsteps. I hope and wish for you all the best life and music has to offer you. God bless and I hope your elbow gets better. And I hope the boss takes it a little easy on you.
Loved this! So fab to find out a bit more about you both, and your history, etc. Love that your cello has an air of mystery Patrick! That little update at the end was great to see, too. Can't believe how quickly you have got back to playing. Looking forward very much to your next video 🤗
Loved this guys keep up the good work I listen to u all the time and have followed u for about five years now 👍💖 keep doing what yr doing stay well and stay safe xx
Just stumbled upon the TH-cam of Marnie playing the Turkish Rondo, and watched it quite a few times. So amazing to see her fingers so fast on the keys with no mistakes. All while the ordinary world goes on outside the window (e.g. the cars going by on the street). Glad I came to this Q and A, as I was surprised to learn from Marnie that she attended the University of Victoria, just like me, though I was there a long time ago.
You two are a cute couples, hopefully you guys can perform in live concerts, I’m a fan of you, I’m following you guys through social media platforms and online music service (Spotify); keep up the good work, we can’t wait for the next one, and speedy recovery (the one with the bandage wrapped around)‼️❗️❣️👋🏻😯🤔😌👀🎼🎹🇨🇦🫶🏻🤕🙏🏻😎👍🏻🙌🏻👏🏻
Two baby mother and father .. you can teach your babies violin . Viola .. group family string's triplets ... You will have happines family....sweet family....
I v. much enjoyed this, so thank you both. Pleased to learn that the elbow fracture is on the mend Patrick. I feel your pain; In 2017 I also had a 30+ mph dismount from my road bike initiated by a mahoosive Ford van resulting in a similar injury to my left elbow (plus fractured clavicle, plus fractured ribs). But I'm not a cellist so the consequences are not comparable. My insurance payout funded a Colnago which would have been way beyond my means and will always be beyond my talent. What bike do you ride?
Oh, really hope everything will go well, and back to NORMAL soon. As musicians, our hands/ arms are so important! Take good care, for both of you ! :) Love your music a lot!
Хорошо что все хорошо еще закончилось. Выздоравливайте быстрее. Металл- рулит!) Сама выросла на Металлике, Скорпионз... Я люблю ваши каверы. На современные треки.... Приятно было вас послушать). И посмотреть на вас.
Patrick, it's not how many more degrees Marnie has than you, it's where she got them. 😆 Big fan of your music, but I'm always surprised when you turn me on to a song (usually pop) that I would never have listened to otherwise. Thank you!
Did Patrick attend the Hartwick College Summer Music Festival & Institute back in the years 2001-2004-ish? I was lucky enough to attend that wonderful summer festival in Oneonta, NY during those years and his name sounds very familiar! My group of friends had a couple of cellists intertwined with everyone else so I wouldn't be surprised if I knew him indirectly. I can't find my Hartwick Hi-Notes from "bandcamp" otherwise I'd take a look at the directory and see for myself!
@@BrooklynDuo haha, what a small world! I was looking for a decent piano cover of "Running Up That Hill" (which is wonderful by the way) and came across your channel. Bartyzel. I was pretty young back then, like 14-16ish. It's kind of pathetic I can't remember half of my friend's names, otherwise I'd give him the names of my string friends! I studied clarinet with Enid Blount and Dan Block and piano with Kai Moscarello and Peter Miyamoto.
Take care Patrick we are waiting for a new cover but we can still wait ( please Ezio's family. ) and Marnie oh gosh you were looking so cute in your younger photo. I am really happy that you both started with classical music, you both are really good at it. You both started to learn an instrument before you both were even 10. I'm 19. I started to learn acoustic guitar when the pandemic begun ಠ﹏ಠ
Hello, I am a Mexican fan and I just wanted to tell you that you are a beautiful couple, the dream of my life is to be able to find a partner who loves music like me.... I admire your musical work, all the covers you have done have made me amazed and personally the feeling that your husband transmits when he plays the cello is something that excites me and transmits too much, the connection that you have when you play together is really beautiful. Thank you very much for answering these questions that allow us to know more about you. I look forward to the next video... God bless you, I also wish that arm heals soon 🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Omg, get WeLL Soon ☺️❤️🩹 May I suggest a song ? The Circle Of Life (LioN KinG)….. I can hear yu both playing the song already.. It’s a song covered in dust at the time 😅🫣
