Hey guys! We've been wanting to cover this one for ages and finally did it. WE LOVE THIS SONG! 😍 Of course nothing can ever come close to Queen's original, but it's amazing how well the song works as an instrumental. We were so happy to work with our friends from the Dover Quartet again on this one...they are so much fun and such incredible players. On another note, we wanted to thank all of you for helping us hit 400,000 subscribers a few days ago! You are the BEST. ❤️ (Also, thank you for all the lovely well wishes for our upcoming baby...we're getting pretty excited!)
Brooklyn Duo It came at the right time! Someone I know told me today that she was obsessed in Queen's version of this song. I shared this video to her a few minutes ago after discovering it was that same song - BEAUTIFUL!!
I think this is one of the reasons Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most iconic songs because it can be played in many different ways and it sounds awesome.
When i was about 6 years old I asked my dad innocently 'What's the most beautiful song in the world' and he had told me Bohemian Rhapsody. As a 25 year old now I still think he was right to this very day.
Whoever says classic and rock can't go together is wrong. Classic and rock are great alone, but together they're the best sound you'll ever hear on earth
Justin, this is no joke: 3 times the song has hit the charts 1 initial release 2 Soundtrack to Waynes World 3 the movie. No other song has done that. Also, cover bands doing this song and others play a note down, their singers can't match the original and last but not least the song itself. It's actually a composition with 5 verses and no chorus. Each verse carries it's own genre, 1st verse Acapella 2nd Ballad 3rd Opera 4th Rock 5th Coda. Can you think of any other song that carries those kinds of credentials?? Me neither. You're welcome. Move aside stairway to heaven, there's a new and old one taking your place. After all, the show must go on...
And that stupid record producer told Freddie Mercury that Bohemian Rhapsody would never make it because it was too long. Little did he know!!! RIP sweet Freddie-darling. 💖. You are missed.😭
I was going to say "no words"', but I realize that I actually have many words to say about what you've done here. Having first heard this song when it was released in 1975, we just knew that this composition was destined for greatness. I want to say that Freddie Mercury composed this as a satire of classical opera, but I must say that it's very essence is, in fact, the dynamics and passion of the operatic genre. And we all know that Freddie had a passion for the dramatic. That is why this song has endured as one of the great anthems in the annals of rock history. A little bird told me that this was a major achievement for Brooklyn Duo, together with Dover, one of the world's great young String Quartets. Yet I was still unprepared for what I heard this morning. This arrangement was absolutely perfect and captured, first, the true essence of this song. But what was truly impressive were the musical nuances of every section by every instrument from 6 classical musicians who, individually, are at the top of their game, yet collectively, as an ensemble, are absolutely exquisite in execution. I don't know of anyone who has achieved more in the category of classical-rock crossover than you. Congratulations on such an achievement, and thanks for all that you do.

Maybe that's why I love it

As a hardcore Queen fan that hates covers with a vengeance (I even consider today's Queen a glorified tribute band) I can say that this is an amazing performance, you really captured the soul of the song and made it into a truly beautiful performance. Well done..
Well, this is by far the most "coverable" Queen song: you can play it any way you want, on any set of instruments using almost any words.... and it ALWAYS sounds great (well, almost, lol). It is in the realm of Pure Music - like Bach for example: you can transcribe his music onto anything even rubber chickens and it sounds wonderful.
Great!! Now a bit of advice from a someone with a quite wide taste on music: Try not being that hardcore, that bias keeps you from enjoying a lot of good music. Even in whole different styles. Cheers!
Maybe the best style-shift cover I've heard of this song. I love it that you basically left the piano part alone and built everything around that. The fact that you could do that and have it work really drives home the classical influence of the original.
Gorgeous! I love all your work, but this and Take On Me are particular favourites of mine, so please more throw back covers! Can't wait to buy them :-)
Like Lauren. Since I have seen Take On Me, its playing here again and again. Such a wonderful sound. I love to hear the "old pop classics" in this classical arrangement and would be very happy, if you two are finding more pieces to cover with a little group of more musicians around. Will You Be There by Michael Jackson is one these songs. Maybe somenthing for you? Greetings from Germany Alexander
I have fallen in love with this composition. It’s incredible both as rock performance, with all its technology, and as a classical cover. This one both echoes its vocal elements while also opening up its musical complexities. Gonna add it to a BR playlist.
It was stunning! I think that Mercury himself, his kingdom of heaven, is proud of your performance. Thank you guys so much for giving us such pleasure!

Cheers!
that's pretty cringe be more open-minded
Ok one tear. But i didnt cry!
Musicians linking up is such magic
I could listen to this EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! 🥰😁
I love how they give each other happy looks when they are playing lol
This is such an amazing piece of art. Whoever arranged this is a GENIUS
MY JAW DROPPED AT THE ROCK PART AFTER THE OPERATIC SECTION AT THE END OMG 👏

Me too. I came from canon in d cover.
Maybe the best style-shift cover I've heard of this song. I love it that you basically left the piano part alone and built everything around that. The fact that you could do that and have it work really drives home the classical influence of the original.
Now that I've updated my headphones, you guys sounded divine. And I cried.
Gorgeous! I love all your work, but this and Take On Me are particular favourites of mine, so please more throw back covers! Can't wait to buy them :-)
So glad you like the throwbacks, Lauren! We love making them.
Greetings from Germany

This one and take on me are my favorites too!
This one and "Take On Me" are SPECTACULAR! There is no better version in my eyes with the same kind of 'arrangement'.
Thank you guys so much for giving us such pleasure!
any kind version of this beautiful masterpiece Bohemian Rhapsody will be always fascinating to be hear again and again no matter how long its gonna take....hat up lads u guys deserved big applause for this performance!
I can’t stop listening to this beautiful music. Soothing yet dramatic, full of emotions. It’s as smooth as silk, seamless. Excellent, exquisite performance!
5:14 - 5:17 u could literally hear oh yeah oh yeah ....the power of music 😍😍😍😍
Awsome ! I've got goosebumps hearing that Cello say "I sometimes wish I've never been born at all"...
How great it would be to lie down on the floor there, arms and legs sprawled about, and just get lost in this magic....my gosh, breathtaking!!!!
