This is why Destiel didn’t become canon until the very end. It was a toxic platonic relationship even. Dean was dismissive and rude and all around duck to Cas on various occasions, especially if Cas didn’t do what Dean told him to do exactly. I ship destiel, but I also understand why it’s not a good relationship.
