I have just finished watching SPN 3 days ago, it was a whole year of watching it almost non-stop as soon as I had a chance, it was my first time watching it, and it was a bright light for me during this tough year... And now my heart is broken because of the end of the show and because of how it was shown. I've spent these last 3 days searching for and reading and watching as much available info as it's possible. Still feels like there's something wrong with 3 final episodes, though the creators, of course, have the right to show things the way they did. But the relationship between Dean and Cas...just, oh no, it shouldn't have ended this way. I mean, Castiel's final speech was perfect, brought me to tears and ripped my heart into pieces. But everything else... Just feels wrong. I accept Dean's reaction during that speech, it's explainable why he was so, as some people would say, emotionless, though it was still quite in character. But the following 2 episodes...and only a slight mentioning of Cas? Come on 🗿 I can ttly understand the disappointment of fans who have been watching the show for 15 years and got this. So I was frustrated as well. Doesn't really matter how we see their relationship - as brothers, friends, or lovers - there must have been something more in the last episode. As for myself, I just think that Dean was already very, very tired and exhausted, and Castiel's speech and following death just crushed Dean. That's why he wasn't really fighting for his life, when, you know... And when in heaven Bobby mentioned Cas it probably finally brought peace to Dean's poor soul, when he realised Cas was alive. Too many words, sorry. It's my first comment on SPN related stuff, cos the video just made me so emotional. I was like, all of a sudden, hey, there's this song by Hozier, and it fits Destiel so good. There just must be a video with this song and those two. And thanks god, or Chuck, or Jack (but most of all, of course, thank you), that it actually does exist! And it is perfect. The whole edit is wonderfully made. And when it came to the transition on 2:43 to the first appearance of the angel it just hit me in the emptiness in my heart and filled it 😭

I started watching SPN at its peak in 2012, fell out of it around 2014 and picked it up again when I heard about Castiel's confession in 2020. immediately obsessed over it again, the time before the ultimate season finale was WILD - there were so many theories about Dean going to the empty, rescuing Cas etc., the hopes for 15x22 were HIGH and then the day came and it was just absolutely crushingly disappointed. It was the very first episode I watched live on air (in Europe it was round 4am AND I WAS UP WATCHING THAT) and I remember that it was so not worth getting up that early to watch it 😂 Lo and behold I started editing SPN right after because I needed a place to vent and let out all the feelings I had as well as process it all - and here we are, quite a lot of fix-it edits later and I'm finally able to have closure. I do feel sorry for you for having gone through that whirlwind of show and now are left with all these feelings. I appreciate your comment because I exactly know how you feel and I hope my edit was able to mend your broken heart a bit!

I could only imagine that hurricane of emotions 😩 it took me 3 weeks to calm down more or less, and it was almost non-stop watching, reading and listening to different SPN fan-made stuff. It still hurts, but still. And you know what, I realized that I'm kinda lucky to go through this right now, 5 years after the final episode, when I can just search for the info and have it. But 5 years ago people were going through all that pain in a live mode (hopefully that sounds fine as it's late and I'm sleepy), sharing their thoughts and points of view with the others, hoping and waiting for a fine and deserved ending, and then expressing their frustration and love for the characters in stories, edits, drawings... Damn, it gives me goosebumps when I'm trying to imagine how fiverish was the fandom 5 years ago. And how much time it took to heal from the stolen final...So thank you once more, you are one of those people who made at least my healing a bit easier and faster ❤ reading your story made my heart warm, I feel sorry for you staying up at 4 am only to get upset 😩 please accept an imaginable hug from me for all the nice words you wrote there. Also I've just mentioned that at 0:49 the lamp gave a halo effect 😮 and DAMN, seriously, how all these looks could be considered as platonic... It feels like the creators were following one trail while the show was airing, which is the obvious tension between those two, but when it came to the end they were just afraid to finish it right.
