Man. The sounds on the Genesis was so funky and weird which is a good thing for games like Sonic and the 2 Xmen games.
Seeing Beast this useful is crazy. I used to restart this game so many times to be Wolverine or Nightctawler!
Those two, in my opinion, are the strongest players. They're strong and fast with good jumping and crawling ability.

Yep. So did I, well we rented X-Men from blockbuster X-Men 2 we owned. Twice. Brother bought it again after we lost everything once. To this day I don't know how he did it. He was 10 back then so he doesn't remember. I miss my family. We don't talk anymore. It was fun and beautiful while it lasted.

Bosses taking damage: UGH!!!!
I remember playing this game as a 14-year-old or 10 year old and the soundtrack used to always blow my mind on how dope this was back in that '90s era. Gives me chills and goosebumps when I watch this and hear the music just text me back to when I was a kid and when everything was so simple

Good to know I wasn't the only one cheesing those boss fights with Magneto.
I felt like he took too long to get the job done. I was thinking of other videos where Wolverine is the player of choice.
Core - Nightcrawler is probably the best pick (I use Gambit for the Sentinel factory)
Fabian Cortez/Exodus - Honestly, anytime you can go ham with Beast, you'll tie it up quick. Good choices here.
Magneto - Wolverine is an alright choice, due to speed, but Nightcrawler crushes this. (For the Asteriod M area, I use Kurt for the entire stage)
Apocalypse Temple - Wolverine, all day. If you time the battle with Tusk right, it's a breeze (and much faster than using Magnus), however his fully charged special attack RIPS through Apocalypse in mere minutes. Give it a shot next time and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Master Brain - I use Cyclops here, but hey, you did just fine, lol.
Super Mercenary - Excellent work (I use Gambit, but your method works WAY better)
Deathbird - Seriously, who else would you use for this?
Phalanx Queen - I had no idea you could duck the charge. Nice work.
Clones - Beast makes short work of EVERYTHING. Lol. Also, I didn't even know there was a special way to fight the Magneto clone. Thanks for sharing!

Tusk is such an odd but cool character to me, he was in at least two games and got a figure I’m the 90’s but aI only remember him appearing in a handful of comics

The artwork on this is outstanding, later X-men games didn't make them as good. And I don't remember being able to play Beast in any other game.

I knew all these. But i disagree with Tusk. Gambit was #1 here. 1. He can get thru the stage easier. Also you can use his staff to stand beneath tusk to take out the baby tusks and him.

Ah, my older brother and I used that strategy against Apocalypse, except my brother always had dibs on Magento and the turbo controller. But I did get good at dodging the explosives, not so much Apocalypse, even with teleports. I survived, tho lol
We didn't, however, have the patience to get Mag up to Tusk in a 2 player game.
The music is outstanding.
I’m a huge X-Men fan and I never played this game. I had the first one. I think by the time this one came out the PS1 had been released and I sold my Genesis

14:08 I've always liked how the Phalanx's clone of Gambit forms an Ace of Spades during the orb attacks.
For Nightcrawler, it's his tail and for Psylocke it's a Yin/Yang

I like how most of the bosses just get cheezed to death
Do bosses take a set number of hits or do certain attacks do more damage than others? I noticed Beast's punches absolutely destroy every boss in a few hits while Magneto's energy bolts take forever to bring them down.
The mutant characteristic in this game quite on point.
Beast's physical attack all strong. On par with Wolverine's full power claw and Psylocke's psi blade.
Projectile all weak. Magneto's basic attack the weakest, while Beast's earthquake splash on par with cyclops's full power optic blast as the strongest.
Nightcrawler the fastest runner and can be invincible for a brief moment and teleport.
Wolverine the only one can regen HP.
More Damage dependent on the character.
Beast is the strongest with normal attacks, however, second only to Mags he's the slowest character.... I think.
Wolverine's special attack does the most damage when Yellow life bits are acquired. He's also second fastest.
Mags is the weakest with normal attacks, but his Mutant Ability hits pretty hard. Slowest character in the game.
Nightcrawler is the fastest, but as a result; his attacks are kinda weak.
Gambit has the most range, decent strength and mutant ability. 1 card with normal life. 2 when charged. However 2 cards to 3 cards when fully charged with Yellow life. Extra dmg
Psylocke has the second best range for normals, mutant ability is okay but only works on living enemies, rendering it almost useless.
Cyclops is only the best when he has yellow life, because then you can optic laser spam for free with relatively good damage. You'll probably never use his regular attacks.

I love the soundtrack. It was also so cool to 13-year old me that you got to play as Magneto. My buddy and I were such X-Men nerds back in the day.
