The game could have been better if they made a beat em up like their rivals Konami. NOPE! Capcom gave us a one player platform beat em up hybrid. In fact it's OVERRATED!🤯
Clone Wars doesn’t get enough love as one of the best Genesis games, but it really is. Great video, man. Nice little blast from the past and you ranked them exactly how I would.
I'd say this is a very fair assessment and I agree with your ratings. The first X-Men game is flawed but there's still some fun to be had if you know what you're in for. Clone Wars is one of my favorite Genesis games and really just favorite games for any system. My only complaint, besides some difficulty spikes, is that the cut scenes are entirely text based. Wish they had worked in some more comic style art. It's super anti climatic beating the game and getting a wall of text with no art for a game based on such an artwork driven medium.
Thanks for mentioning Alex. For me, playing through Arcade's Revenge a ton in the 90's was my first exposure to an X-Men game. Clone wars definitely takes the cake for the best Genesis game.
As a kid every X-Men game was a difficult or frustrating weekend rental. It may have been because I played the arcade beat'em up first. I really like this franchise themed review format. Great work!
It would be nice to see some new x men material for next gen consoles. I mean besides the new Wolverine game. A few 2d games from the folks that made Schredders revenge
We loved the first proper X-Men when we were kids, the music and sprites were amazing. Clone Wars was brilliant. The End. Then Wolverine Adamantium Disgrace. Never played it nor needed to.
I had Spider-Man and X-men as a kid. Omg I hated this game. I spent so much time dying on each level. But as a kid with a sega, I had limited games so this bs and the sega James Bond game had to do for a little bit
Clone Wars is one of my all time favorite 16-bit games. Played the hell out of it with my buddy back in the day. The music is up there with Streets of Rage 2. I still listen to the tracks every now and then. The first X-Men was fine, but the power meter is one of the dumbest features ever. The sound design is really strange, even back in the early 90s it was odd.
Arcades revenge could be salvageable if it had unlimited continues, yes you’ll be playing those stages a lot but but that’s after you beat the intro Spider-Man stage again for the thousandth time…very accurate rankings
im probably in one of the lowest minorities here, but....i love adamantium rage and i still play it to this day on steam (with a mod and the genesis emulator there)
For me, X-Men 2 Clone Wars is the best on Sega's console. Also, why didn't you mentioned that you can later unlock Magneto and play as him? Cause, it is really fun to play as him. Also, this game has intro, but only after the prologue level, which is turns out to be a danger room training, if you pay attention to what game says to you. And also, Beast can jump from wall to wall or stuck to wall, and you can upgrade your health by finding more DNA around the level. And if you max out your health, then your character abilities would also become more powerful.
I always had one major gripe about xmen 2- the character sizes are just too big. if the screen could scroll out like 30% i wouldnt loved it so much. ALSO THE SOUNDTRACK IS AMAZING
This is the third time I've heard about Spiderman and X-men from a reviewer in the last 30 days. Interesting to see so many takes. Also I don't recall any of these games being good.
Wolverine on the Genesis was not that bad at all and I have to disagree on the level of gameplay with you,it wasnt that hard to play. I love Xmen 1 and Clone Wars. If you want a game thats worse than Wolverine, play Wolverine on the NES.
You didn't mention that Magneto is a playable character in X-Men 2: Clone Wars. Also, the content was great except for the cringe jokes. It was like watching a really bad AVGN episode from 15 years ago.
3:07 🤣🖕 jim I remember 9 year old me reaching that reset part and it did confused the fuck out of me a god damn huge wtf moment like mgs psycho mantis boss fight so I started looking everywhere in the stage for something to interact like a computer a lever a switch or anything to proceed finishing the stage and then started pressing every button on the controller one at the time then combining them until I was just button smashing and stil refusing to press the reset button on the console and telling my self no way the game wants me to press that reset button especially knowing it restarts the damn game so out of frustration I turned off the console✌️yes twice so on my 3rd attempt I finally pressed the reset button🤯😳😐😠😤😡🤬😖😮💨🙂🖕fuck you jim well at the moment I was cursing whoever was responsible adding this type of method to proceed in a game but I loved playing it and haven't for years so ty now I'm gonna play it again and get a couple more grey hairs but at least I'm gonna be able to save my progress this time around
Do you agree with my choices for the worst to best X-Men games released on the Sega Genesis? Let me know your rankings!
Nice to see Clone Wars get some love. It's really a forgotten gem on the system which is a shame.
Yeah Clone Wars is an awesome Sega Genesis game! Thanks for stopping by Basque!
Yes! Clone Wars is best X Men game ever besides The Arcade
How can I play this game without a sega génesis?
X-Men 2: Clone Wars is arguably the best X-Men game of all time. Fantastic soundtrack as well.
I loved how each stage’s music was a bit different with each character.
I mean X-Men Legends 2 exists.
@@NeightrixPrime X-Men Legends 1-2 are fun games. Still neither touches Clone Wars.
I agree that x-men 2 is the best, but x-men 1 just has a very special place in my heart that I have to put it as my favorite.
Great memories. X-Men video games were like a dream.
As a child, Storm's underwater stage gave me nightmares... it was too much lol
X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse on Super Nintendo was the best X-Men game ever. Thank you, Capcom ^^
WHATTTTTTTTT CLONE WARS IS THE BEST OF THE SERIES you know it but i understand what you mean thou
damn that game was addicitive

Where are the X-Men for next Gen consoles.
Mutants are wanted in my world
As a kid every X-Men game was a difficult or frustrating weekend rental. It may have been because I played the arcade beat'em up first.
I really like this franchise themed review format.
Great work!
Thanks for stopping by GHG. I wish I had the space for a massive 3 CRT Xmen arcade machine I'll give the franchise format more attention as well!
lol thats exactly why they were difficult. they knew we would keep renting them every week trying to beat it.
It would be nice to see some new x men material for next gen consoles. I mean besides the new Wolverine game. A few 2d games from the folks that made Schredders revenge
X-men 2 does have an intro. You need to do your research more.
We loved the first proper X-Men when we were kids, the music and sprites were amazing. Clone Wars was brilliant. The End. Then Wolverine Adamantium Disgrace. Never played it nor needed to.
I loved playing Clone Wars when I was a kid, I was a huge Xmen fan and I still am and I’m in my late 30s.
Great video
I couldn't remember the name of the first X-Men game for Sega, but now I realize that's because it didn't have a name lol
I had Spider-Man and X-men as a kid. Omg I hated this game. I spent so much time dying on each level. But as a kid with a sega, I had limited games so this bs and the sega James Bond game had to do for a little bit
1:21 “I never once saw Gambit throw cards out of his crotch.”
Look me in the eye and tell me he couldn’t nor wouldn’t.
The top 2 were some of the best genesis games....loved to play them back then.

I still play clone wars regularly. Nightcrawler's a BOSS.
Clone wars is by far the best 16 bits X-Men game
Clone wars is probably my favorite genesis game period. It's so good.
Arcades revenge could be salvageable if it had unlimited continues, yes you’ll be playing those stages a lot but but that’s after you beat the intro Spider-Man stage again for the thousandth time…very accurate rankings
My childhood ❤😢... Also the SNES X-Men was so good
im probably in one of the lowest minorities here, but....i love adamantium rage and i still play it to this day on steam (with a mod and the genesis emulator there)
Clone Wars is always going to be one of the best X-Men games ever no matter what!!! ♥

lmao earned my sub for "THROWING CARDS OUT HIS CROTCH."
We need a remake of the clone wars I loved that game so much
X-men and clone wars have great OSTs.
Spider-Man and the X-Men and X-Men came out well before the X-Men animated series came out.
This is the third time I've heard about Spiderman and X-men from a reviewer in the last 30 days. Interesting to see so many takes. Also I don't recall any of these games being good.
If you can, play the Super Nintendo version it's got a much better soundtrack
@@RetroKingPin I think I've just got the Sega version of Xmen
Right order of worst to best, but X-Men 2 isn't that difficult. In fact, both Adamantium Rage and Arcade's Revenge are more difficult.
Wasn’t there one where you could play as captain America, iron man, the xmen and others too?
i was poor so my mom got me arcades revenge from the swapmeet while my cousin had xmen, which was the more popular and more expensive game
NO mention of Elsie Dee? Don't leave me wogan!!!!
Wolverine on the Genesis was not that bad at all and I have to disagree on the level of gameplay with you,it wasnt that hard to play. I love Xmen 1 and Clone Wars. If you want a game thats worse than Wolverine, play Wolverine on the NES.
So thankful you don't have a British accent.

Xmen 1 pecaram feio nos efeitos sonoros; xmen + homem aranha parece um jogo 8 bit.
