- Live Peformance of "Anyone with a Heart" at the Cleveland Agora, July 28, 1980. Introduction by WMMS's Betty "Crash" Korvan. Featuring extended intro by Jerry Moran.
Craig Balzer, Bruce Balzer, Tommy Rich, Greg Holt (eatin' the Bass), George Sipl and Jerry Moran. Words and Music by Craig Balzer and Kim Fowley. This might not be the best version we have on tape but it's from their Album release concert and the first time I ever saw this band! If we ever get a chance we will work on fixing the audio. Shot by Norton Cam!
It’s 2022 and I’m STILL wondering how these guys never were able to break into the bigs… Such an Amazing group… Still rocks!
favorite band in the bar hopping days. Craig and the boys were awesome
I recorded them on a coffee break concert off the radio on cassette. Put it on CD now. The good old days.
Thanks for posting!! Craig Balzer was such a talented musician, everyone in the band for that matter. This song brings back great memories.
This song has HIT written all over it. It received airplay on WMMS but never went National. Coulda, shoulda. Still sounds good even today!
Oh I Love this-so glad I grew up in Cleveland area when music was great and formed my musical appreciation and taste. Was too young to see this band but heard them on radio and loved them! Feeling sad & nostalgic tonite hearing this. Thank you soooo v Ray much for posting and sharing this
I knew Craig well. These guys were as good as any of them. I miss them! Great song.
I new these guys, classy and their dad was a great guy ❤️🎸
Wow. This is a new one. I didn't work with the band until around.. 82? 83? I lit a few bands playing the Agora, but I wish I could have worked this show. RIP, Craig. We're all better off for having known you and heard your music.
Wow, THANK YOU for posting!
Great upload! Thanks. Now I'm Living in Tampa, I miss the Music scene we had in Cleveland in the 70's. American Noise Gave us the "Hard Rockers", some hope that the Music would live on. Here is The Proof.
Thank you so much! I dated Bruce Balzer back in the 80's when American Noise played at ROCK CITY IN MASSILLON OHIO!!!!!!!! R.I.P. Craig you and your wife Polly made an AWESOME couple. I miss you Bruce, your Massillon Duchess!!
Rock city!
Awesome.
Cleveland Rocks!
LOVE the song and the band. Also love Kevin Raleigh's version.
Thanks for posting.Loved that band!!
freakin awsome local band, great song
it speaks for its self, miss you craig
Cool! I was there
Definately should have been bigger than they were..great albumn. Great drummer
Thanks ! i was first to view too!
Great band. I saw them a crazy number of times back in the day. I had one of their records and put it on a cassette. That tape was chewed up a few years ago and the record is long gone. I wish I could still purchase their music somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas for that?
Saw them many times. I was always puzzled that Bruce wore a shirt and tie. And I wonder where there is a version of Out On The Street? Good song.
LOVE Mick Robson.
Anyone know where I can get the piano sheet music for this song?
Sounding good. Lighting ?
Why isn’t this album on iTunes????????
At 3:34 you can see Craig telling that goober bass player to get in the back where he belongs.
Greg Holt on Bass and that was their act. Craig was crackin up at the time. Had a smile on his face. I was there
Yes, that bass player was on drugs! Must've been! Two-bit idiot!
So,where are they now ?
Two members have passed away from cancer, the Drummer, Tommy Rich is still playing in several bands and doing many musical things, a keyboard player, George Sipl still performs and produces, the others are retired.
I totally get why this band and the hundreds just like them never “made it”, but it must have been great packing a couple of hundred people in a local club. I’m sure they got their share of poon from it all... even the nerdy bass player.
If you only heard two chords on this song then you need some ear training. American Noise were amazing.
Gosh! Two chords (for 95% of the song). How on earth did they remember them all!
the bass player can't get enough attention
That was their act. Greg Holt was a great player back in the day.
cool
For Those wishing to Buy the sheet music to this just get Jungle Land by Springsteen and turn it upside down and play. Sounds way too much like this Bruce classic especially the beginning.
TOO MANY FUCKING ADS
that's you tube, not us.
