Pro tip; don’t hesitate to build a stair type system with the Quick Platforms to explore: you can do it in a way where you can always climb back down, or up. (Can destroy temporary stuff easily and deconstruct mechanic has a far range) Also The “Ranger Camp” will give you brewing and alchemy recipes if you restore all the pages, each region has one. If you don’t have black diamonds to make a mapstone back to it just rebuild the campfire and youll know something’s there to come back to. AND always keep the resources for a campfire so you can mark stuff, build a quick mapstone to TP or temporary repair station. (I’d only build hearths at ranger camps or your base so you know it’s either a RC or your base.) a buddy of mine can mark locations on his map I can’t but yeah just some helpful tips I hope
@@scriptic it’s very fun but my biggest regret was trying to rush it, my first go through I missed a lot of carvings and ranger camps myself as well as missed a few statues not fully exploring rooms before going to another map/region. Overall it’s really fun, currently building my own base in a couple spots just for looks. I recommend playing on the hardest difficulty, it can be very hard but it’s the best thing to make sure you get the full experience. Use these things for great temporary buffs to use at once: 1. Any ale, I know of 3 and they give great buffs. 2. Treasure Hoard(any but the biggest lasts longer) 3. Memorial/Durin statues 4. Sleep at night so you wake up at first light, eat x2 meals from the meal table and you get the second breakfast buff. The only other buffs are from Reflex’s, I believe Use all that and you should have a BLAST (BIGGEST TIP 2-handed GREATAXE IS CRAZY FUN
@@scriptic 1 more tip; Jump then attack, each weapon will perform its own attack. Haven’t seen anyone talk about it or any video about it myself granted haven’t watched them all but :D Lots of fun, sprint toward an orc and its KIND of like a charge attack haha. Deals increased dmg much like the 1st charged attack and can hit multiple targets usually. You can 100% kill atleast 10 orcs solo on the hardest difficulty without any buffs incorporating this, just DO NOT forget to block, it’s 100% worth it so is the block attack/knockback
@@scriptic if I may suggest… You won’t need a pickaxe except for exploring, so I keep it on 8. Try slotting: 1-H Weapon Shield 2-H weapon for Uruks mainly Food DMG Reflex consumable Warding Reflex consumable Torch/Crossbow(u don’t always need a torch, or a ranged weapon most the time) Pickaxe Doing it like this keeps you fully prepared for any encounter, plus health restore/buffs no bs items on main bar. For reflex’s, clear out the dark mine shaft for plenty precious gems you can do it without having to kill anything and climb or TP out. (Pro tip/slight “*spoiler warning* for resources” mark all dark mine shafts later on they have more than just precious gems) LAST HOORAH PROMISE: Quick platforms are a dwarves best friend
Pro tip #2: hold E and you auto gather items around you or loot that dropped into a wall etc
