Me again. I've also made it a goal to keep the Blessing Box at the church stocked. Every week after I do my grocery shopping, I add items. Canned soups, chili's, apple sauce., canned fruit and veggies. I always leave 2 rolls of toilet paper and baby wipes.
Last week, I got another thank you card in the box. " thank you all do much. I am a single mom with 1yr, 4 yr, 8yrold. I cry every time I see how much you all have left in the box for me and others. Its all done thru LOVE.

Dollar Tree has all kinds of shelf stable milk, I’ve been stocking up. It’s definitely important to rotate through your stockpile. It’s a waste if you don’t use what you already have.
I’ve often given food away to friends in need, and it’s never shorted my family. I’m not worried about someone trying to steal it, much like you. If someone wants it and they can get past me, they can have it! Great video Tory!

I know I could not do this because of the very limited space we have for food shortage. However, for those who have been storing, its great to use it up and start over so nothing goes to waste.

We have been in prayer and we will trust God through it all. God Bless you and please pray for righteousness.

I have dealt with bugs in my dried chilies 🌶 I keep them in stock year around to make tamales sauce but now I keep them in the freezer in a Ziploc bag. Because those bugs will eat the dry chilis.

Place a 1" X !" Board about 3 inches above the shelf for all your canning and glass jars. This will prevent them from falling off and breaking in an earthquake. You have so much stuff exposed to allowing mice to get at your food supply!

Hey friend. People are just scared ....I think. We can't live by 'what if's'. We got to keep plugging along....and take care of that situation if and when it arises. I feel like I have enough for a year....not sure. With Adam, Shelby and her fiance', and probably his dad cause His wife passed away, my mom, me and 2 dogs😂😂😂 maybe I need more🙃😂 plus...my neighbors, which consist of man, wife and he takes care of his elderly mother....BUT....he can fix anything and they have chickens already and we both garden. And his wife works at kroger and gets a discount....So....its a win win situation. I love squash. I sauteed zucchini, yellow squash and onions this morning, as a side to our scrambled eggs. It was soooo good.
Great ideas....I saw the chickpea masala in your stash....I need to find that and give it a try...sounds yummy.

I think all church members should put1 can food n blessing box every Sunday morning. Its not much but it adds up quickly.also a closet for clothes coats n shoes. Be good if each made 1 10foot by 2 foot wool scarf per week. The people at Pine ridge Native American indian reservation in South Dakota would love it also sox. Please they need all the help u can give perhaps a chursh could get a 55000 lb tractor trailer of food delivered free anywhere in lower 48 usa for $5400

  • @thomaslewis8515
    @thomaslewis8515 ปีที่แล้ว

You should take your canned goods out of your plastic containers and save them for boxed goods or things that are packaged in sacks, your wheat berries. This prevents mice or rats from getting to them You can put canned goods anywhere that doesn't need protection.

My prepper pantry will last us a year easy.. without expiring. It should be noted that if it says..'best by' (date)..I still use it, although I will rotate to the front to be used first.
We do allow up to $70 Australian a fortnight ($47 US) for fresh produce such as salad veggies, ( We grow our own during summers months)We also buy fresh eggs and dairy (not a fan of frozen cheese)
    Nb:
We do not eat land meat, which would be an added expense to those who don't grow their own, ( unless you hunt for your animal protein, no judgement). We do however eat fresh fish.
I buy vegetables fresh and snap freeze them ourselves during winter... Having said that, we could live without going to the store at all.
We don't have long term storage, but we do rotate what we have.
I would be very interested in follow you journey not to go to the grocery store.
Will you be using any of your long term storage as a supplement to you pantry?
