Exactly^ people with pc think they're a master race but what are they in the real world? Nothing at all. No one cares that you have a pc. It won't get you a job or get you married.
inventivv I agree with you even tho I have a gaming pc, but the fact is that the pc masterrace thing is not referred to the people, but to the hardware. At least I hope so bhecause it would be really awkward if it wasnt.
nice, still waiting for the half-controller/mouse hybrid the price point probably because of the material it uses, stainless steel? wonder how it feel after hours of playing
True, but there are still ways to reduce the price such as selling the docks, keypad, touchpad, etc. Separately. All I want is a controller that works with ps4, Xbox, Pc, ios, and android. Then, they could reduce the price more by using cheaper materials. I agree that novelty items are a waste of good cash, but I still think they have ways to make this buyable for us peasants.
Anything than a 360 controller is not supported from games and so you have to bind keys, use 3rd party programs, have other techincal problems etc etc.
***** While binding keys is easy it can be time consuming if you have to do it on every game and also there are some functions that don't work well when you try to bind. Like chaning menus with L and R keys.
***** I think 360 pad was nigh on perfection. I like the ps4 pad but prefer the thumstick layout of 360 pad...maybe cuz I used 360 pad for so long...hated ps3 pad...thumbsticks too close and awful trigger buttons.
Yes, that is actually pretty sweet. No, it's not targeted at anyone other than mobile gamers, and even then, it's moreso a luxury item for the rich as fuck people who can afford a $300 controller. But I can't say I wouldn't want a controller with that design though. That shit looks like something out of a Bond movie.
Pretty cool tech, but I'm worried it would be too sharp and pointy to the palms. And it looks more suited for hardcore tablet and phone and smart device multitasking than it does on the go use. I'd just keep i i that ultimate form seen at the end, plop phone into the top compartment and use it as a super device for streaming boxes and PC's.
"How cool is that?" You say? Its really cool, but shouting at your controller is weird for me. The controller looks pretty cool but I wish the handles werent so small. The last part of the video when you seperated the controllers parts and made it to be like connected to the tablet was awesome.
I was just thinking about how much I wanted a mobile controller so I don't need to be an octopus to play dead trigger while watching and then I looked at the background and I was like ._. "Oh... Funny seeing you here"
This is really impressive, but i dont see much use for it overall unless you are REALLY into mobile gaming. It's impressive in that it has so many ways to use it, but i dont see anybody actively using this all the time.
The phone controller looks nice and all but doesn't Mad Catz feel like the controller have a hefty price? I think they use too much of their money on the design than making it cheaper.
Cool, especially when he disassembled it then used the wings on tablet. If I'm rich then I'm definitely gonna buy it, but since I'm not,...I'll just be practical :'(
Mobile games, one of the biggest thing in the world that shows: 'Three quarters of the world just thinks you're either blind, or you can just see perfectly.' This thing looks prety crap, or someone's dream of having a Transformer controller or something, just put a SUPER cheap speaker in it like PS4 and have it say: 'Autobots roll out!' And I'm sure it'll be a great success. But I'm serious, I've been playing games all my life, but through the years, my eyes have gotten worse, but funnily enough, the world just thinks games on smaller and smaller and even freaking smaller screens and shit is SOOOO fun, while it's still also just a 'FUCK YOU VERY MUCH" to people like me, not very surprising, but still. It's really suspicious how a site like Gamespot NEVER EVER in it's history has taken the slightest bit of effort to check something like that, because hey, it's nothing new for me that visually handicapped people are just... Outcasts basically. Most people will even just ask you: 'Oh, why don't you wear glasses or contacts then?' But sure world, keep making everything smaller and smaller. Except controllers'seriously, it's only the Japanese that would love controllers like this, or controllers like that of the PS3 >.
Uhm... Not worth $300. The materials are definitely top notch, and the features are swell... I would say $140 tops. $300 is the better half of getting a next gen console or an intense graphics card.
Looks cool, but I don't trust Mad Catz and $300 is a hell of an investment. I'd buy something like this when mobile gaming is more like a console experience down the road. It would have to be a console experience because $300 is the price of a console, but you have to have a phone or device on to of that. There just isn't much software yet to justify this kind of purchase. Just stick to consoles or PC at this point.
The PC Master race sends its condolence to any one that paid $300 for this piece of shit.
I like you
Exactly^ people with pc think they're a master race but what are they in the real world? Nothing at all. No one cares that you have a pc. It won't get you a job or get you married.
inventivv I agree with you even tho I have a gaming pc, but the fact is that the pc masterrace thing is not referred to the people, but to the hardware. At least I hope so bhecause it would be really awkward if it wasnt.
Praise the glorious Master Race PC!
The Console Master race sends its condolence to any one that paid $30,000+ for a -spraedsheet- gaming *PC*
it looks cool but no, it is not worth $300. Think about it, with 100$ more you can buy a ps4.
Ha I know I was thinking that to
is that an ugly kirby?
danusty YES
"Gives you a full QWERTY keyboard experience."
C'mon. It gives us a QWERTY keyboard. "Experience" doesn't even have meaning anymore, thanks to PR.
Looks extremely uncomfortable.
More like a novelty item than an actual gaming device
true, hence the high price. they realize that most people won't buy this, thus pricing it accordingly to maximize their profit on the few that will.
Looks pretty cool, but waaaaay too expensive
nice, still waiting for the half-controller/mouse hybrid
the price point probably because of the material it uses, stainless steel? wonder how it feel after hours of playing
I hope they bring the price down by using more polymer rather than an all metal frame.
The metal isn't what makes it 300 dollars.
It's a novelty item, they charge out the ass for the idea.
True, but there are still ways to reduce the price such as selling the docks, keypad, touchpad, etc. Separately. All I want is a controller that works with ps4, Xbox, Pc, ios, and android. Philip Tree Good idea for us peasants xD
pretty innovative I would say
Waiting for a competitor with similar features and support for larger tablets.
Damn.. Transformers just got real! Awesome!
Am I the only one that remembers Mad Catz controllers back in the day? If one were to last a week you were lucky as could be.
It would be rather cool if you could use a tablet and your phone at the same time with that last config.
Use that $300 for a new graphics card
Its ugly as hell. 300 dollars is way too much.
+1
Wouldnt call it ugly, mad catz makes alot of cyborg peripherals. I think they look really cool
for 300 dollars i'd rather get an audio DAC and an audiophile grade headset.
Looks amazing but is pretty much useless unless you are amazingly lazy
Naw man even then. It's too much work taking it apart and reconfiguring it.
I actually kind of like that the more I see it. I just wish we saw if it had any sort of lag
Oh dear... Looks like Mad Catz are going the Apple route...
Justin Espeoni 360 controller is awesome. Its better than xb1 pad in my opinion. The ps4 pad is way better than ps3 controller.
Justin Espeoni
LMAO this weeaboo Xbox fan clown again.
PREZZER UK True. If I had to pick one it would be a hard choice between the 360 controller and Dualshock 4.
***** I think 360 pad was nigh on perfection. I like the ps4 pad but prefer the thumstick layout of 360 pad...maybe cuz I used 360 pad for so long...hated ps3 pad...thumbsticks too close and awful trigger buttons.

But I can't say I wouldn't want a controller with that design though. That shit looks like something out of a Bond movie.
It looks very uncomfortable to hold.
So mad catz finally made a decent controller ? They sure took their time.
if u have game on ur pc can u use da controller for it?
not gone lie that's pretty badass
"How cool is that?" You say? Its really cool, but shouting at your controller is weird for me. The controller looks pretty cool but I wish the handles werent so small. The last part of the video when you seperated the controllers parts and made it to be like connected to the tablet was awesome.
I hope the price of the parts isn't cost to much in case i lose it, especially the wing part.
$300 for the most uncomfortable controller in the world.
This should be like 120-140 dollars. No way in hell this is worth 300 bucks.
CES = Rich People Convention
Most of these devices never come to market, its just a way for companies to get their name out.
Don Juan Oh ok ok. But theyre still expensive though.
149.99 not 300,$ 300 it's a whole console.
I was just thinking about how much I wanted a mobile controller so I don't need to be an octopus to play dead trigger while watching and then I looked at the background and I was like ._. "Oh... Funny seeing you here"
Reminds me of a crab/jigsaw puzzle.
Paying $300 dollars for a controller is and absolute omnishambles!
I bet only 5% of people in the world will have this too expensive.
too expensive.. for a modular Bluetooth controller
This is really impressive, but i dont see much use for it overall unless you are REALLY into mobile gaming. It's impressive in that it has so many ways to use it, but i dont see anybody actively using this all the time.
I would only pay 100$ max for this controller. Its cool but not worth the money.
people who buy this have too much money, pad costs the same as a PS4.
coolest controller so far for me, but so damn expensive...i will stick to my dual shock 4 for a while..
Looks cool, pity about the price!
But what else can it do?
looks stupid for me, but still a good innovation tho
Wow! Need keypad from mad catz..
This would make a great controller for my OUYA, but it's 3x the price of the actual system.
Who is this aimed at specifically?
Mad Catz? I don't really trust their products...
Is this controller more than meets the eye?
All controllers should be striving to make the 360's better. Its the perfect controller. PS4 is nice but I still feel more comfortable with the 360.
The phone controller looks nice and all but doesn't Mad Catz feel like the controller have a hefty price? I think they use too much of their money on the design than making it cheaper.
I would pay $60 tops
I've got mixed feelings about this thing. It looks like a good product but $300 is too much.
30 bucks and you might dominate the controller market. 300 bucks? You get dominated by other manufacturers.
Music name please!
Shut up and take my money!
considering the fact that I can buy a great mechanical keyboard, a mouse, and a controller all for less than 300$ why the hell do I need this?
the thing looks so fucking uncomfortable
Or you know you could plug any old controller for £20 and have the same or better experance
This looks cool
Cool, especially when he disassembled it then used the wings on tablet. If I'm rich then I'm definitely gonna buy it, but since I'm not,...I'll just be practical :'(
I'd get it if it was for $100.
It looks... uncomfortable.
O_o someone get the all spark i wanna see that guy in action xD
That's cool
This is pretty cool.....
i dont think i would want this if it was even £10
there's great smartphone controllers for $30
fancy...
Alright, now make it $45 and people will give a shit this exists.
Why would you spend $300 on something from Mad catz?
Man that's dope
looks cool. not $300 cool.but cool
would buy for maybe $50
Cool, but would not spend $300 on this.
$300, really? come on......
$300 for that FUCKING FLIMSY LOOKING THING!?
ID rather use my moga
I'd rather use my morronga
id rather do meringue
I'd rather use my Manolo
Reduce the price and I might consider
The thing looks like it'll cut a man's fingers off before they even begin to use it. Seriously it looks uncomfortable as hell...
Looks painful... But for fuck's sake, why would anyone pay this much for a MOBILE controller?!
I might be in love...
Make the price 80-100 and then we can talk... And iOS compatible
Hmmm i dont know.....
I need one..... NOOOWWW!!!!

this thing looks awesomeeeeeeeeee ..
but roo expensive .. most people wont buy it
300$ ,good luck with that joke .....
300$ is way to much for this, something like 100$ would of been much better
Why is every one like pc masterace and xbox and playstation, we all like games sooooooooo
Friends?
Or You Can Buy A PS Vita
Uhm... Not worth $300. The materials are definitely top notch, and the features are swell... I would say $140 tops. $300 is the better half of getting a next gen console or an intense graphics card.
Cool controller but way too expensive XD

FUCKING MADCATZ.
EXPENSIVE !!
Looks cool but it also looks kinda frail....
$300 for a controller? What, is it made out of gold or something?
$300 is just how marketers say "this shit's the balls, you guys" at an annual trade show. We'll see the real price before the end of the year.
Left stick and Directional pad is NOT swappable = NOT worth it = FAIL design.
I'd love a controller that fell apart if I dropped it!
I neeed thiis in my lifee....
