Against the Giants (Hill Giant Fort) Awesome!!!!! Does anyone know will Tale Spire also be open to the new Mac M1's? The M1 should have an emulator that can emulate Windows 10 applications Id think and would work with steam if need be.
@@taccntb4345 I have made the full map and there is even a video on my channel where you can see me build it :) And for Mac, I assume through the early access so in a few months per chance? :)

I just bought this last night and am seeing this issue already where the 2d map doesn't really translate well into 3d if you use the same dimensions. In particular i was looking at the LMOP maps and some of them are a bit awkward and very close quarters to move around in the 3d space. I admit I do need to learn the interface better and go through the tutorials still.
@@sky0kast0 oh no, it will be better on some aspects, worse on some others (diagonals for examples) but overall, it will be something new that can be as good or even better!
Excellent again. I'm currently trying to work on a big terrain area taken from a 2d map (but with lots of 3d elements), so it's an interesting perspective. My current idea had been to build a grid of simple elements to float above the map, then use their shadow so match elements from one map to the other, so things don't get too distorted. Not sure that's the best idea, but it is working so far. I probably should have tried a less ambitious project, or juggle my D&D game so the terrain doesn't appear for a while :)
Building classic maps in Talespire is such a challenge due to things like walls that actually have wall-like dimensions. It becomes very obvious that the builds have to be like 20% bigger (or more if you have a lot of walls) than the original maps. Caused me a lot of trouble when I built the town of Orlane, and then realized the map was way too small to house all these huge buildings.
Super "build" ..Wow. De mon coté ce matin je cherche des techniques de DM et comment qu'on puisse procéder a naviguer en-travail d'un map avec les joueurs? Ca serait bien comme video:)
Thank you for the Video, this is really awesome! One question about the Programm itself, because i have concerns about my computer can not handle all these grafics, and the steam site seems to be not really accurate with what grafic cards can run it at minimum/maximum. Many thanks! Not really sure about your components as I don't really know, but the game runs very well on many many computers so you should be fine :) Don't hesitate to ask on the discord of the game :)
Hey there! Just out of curiosity, you mentioned that your GM sent you the map which you then built. Are you a player in the campaign who *also* builds the maps? And if so, does it not ruin the surprise a little bit for you? No judgement, just curious! I think it's super cool either way :)
You are correct, I build and built many maps of our campaign, but in the end, I do not know when they will appear and more importantly, I have no idea about the Scenario so always a surprise to me, even though the mystery is a bit spoiled - never was an issue for me as our GM makes the story always the focal point :)
>"It doesn't say anywhere how large something is." >shows the legend saying that 1 2x2 square is 10 feet. Great tutorial otherwise but i found that funny.
Indeed there is the legend that helps, but often it is not very realistic, and in this case, all doors are very similar, and with only walls, and doors, there is little visuals as to what size should be each element described in the text :) But yeah, should have mentioned that :p
As this was a tutorial a bit longer than usual, but I always start from the 'main' or most important part first and then I follow a logical process (often bottom up indeed) And so around 7h-ish I think :)
I have countless hours of playing Sims and designing my own dungeon/town maps.
*Cracks knuckles*
Lets goooo
Enjoy :D

How do you move more than one tile at the time? I can't move them after selecting a good chunk of tiles, only cut and paste somewhere else
You can ctr-x to cut and then paste them elsewhere :)

Can images from this tool be used commercially?
Depends on your usage, you'll need to ask the Devs but for personal stuff it was okay
How long did the creation in this video take you to build?
Do you always start your creations from the lowest level and work up?
