I'm sure glad I was able to enjoy OBX when I was a kid because I was able to enjoy it at its glory of vacation spots. Great beaches and stretches of dunes without homes lined up side by side. Now the ocean is taking it all away.
@@rueporter2253 Asheville great! I took the Blue Ridge Pkwy from Virginia down to Asheville when the Government shut down. I practically had the road to myself. Spent a couple of days in Asheville and had a great time.
@@LasVegas68 that's a good toad trip . Sounds relaxing . I get weary spirit thinking about the kids missing any of it. And the trees. So many are not good near me in pa. Literally can walk and grab one , or lesn and they fall over or are completely uprooted! I bout cried the other day when it happened. I'm so careful how I walk in woods. All plants matter, and many can save a life. 😁

Frankly I don’t believe anything should be built within 2 miles of our oceans, and stop people from ruining these great shores of America, and let us drive close enough to get out and walk our beautiful beaches.everyone not just the rich.
how threatened is the obx from rising sea levels? is there a serious threat of the area being wiped out? to my understanding Virginia's portion of the Delmarva peninsula had barrier islands once but were wiped nearly completely out by a massive hurricane.

It truly is wonderful area. I spent much time in nc. Loved Asheville, parts of Charlotte, the coast is nice..
