Nice in-depth test of the Elroq Matthias. You’ve covered all the important details 👍 And pretty kind that mr. Zelmer welcomed you. I very much like the design language of the Elroq front. Much better than the Enyaq I have now. Would I choose it as my next car? Maybe not as it might remind me too much of all the software issues I had and the very poor performance of the 1st gen. Infotainment system. ABRP would still be handy when driving long distance with the Elroq and lane assist is still not what it should be. One other issue I have is that it’s shorter than the Enyaq but just as wide. Roomy, but challenging in a parking garage. The Elroq can very well become a great success for Skoda if the price is right. In Germany the Enyaq gets the most registered (Zulassungszahlen) of all EV’s for months now. The Elroq could become its competitor.
Great review of Elroq and highly informative comparison with Enyaq, especially to me as a current Enyaq owner. :) This just confirms what I read in the spec sheets, Elroq really is just a ~20cm shorter Enyaq, inside and outside. With the exception of the "modern solid" front look, which I assume Enyaq is getting next.
Thanks for this excellent review, some additional questions: 1- How good is the HUD? 2. Is it possible to unlock & drive only with the smartphone? 3. Is there any V2H and V2L available? 4. Can we expect some OTA Update for the GPS and everything? (I mean, is this something that skoda does regularly or not at all?) 5. I guess we can expect a 85X to come, and today, it's my biggest question(AWD or RWD). With this wintery winter, did you had the chance to drive over snow(like in ski station) ? I live in a region where we often have snow, and sometimes we have to wait a few hours to have clean roads.

Great review! Very detailed. Did you try the wireless phone charger? In my Enyaq (2021) it don't work with an iPhone 14 Pro Max. And the smaller phones are charging slow and the phone got very hot.
Great video. I like the race blue metalic but not the text in cheap looking black plastic on the front. Can the text be removed without ruining the surface ?
Personally i feel the elroq looks much better and more modern than the enyaq....no first edition for the UK......i have ordered the 85 edition Moon White.
Greetings! Excellent content! But how so Enyaq is more efficient car than Elroq according to stated specificiations, despite that Elroq is smaller and lighter and of cource a brand new? Why I would consider smaller car if it is not more efficient giving the fact that Enyaq has relatively compact size too?
Here Elroq 85 style with good specs costs just 1-2k€ less than Enyaq 85 L&K coupe. Elroq is just outrageously priced for the size and it's class. Was considering buying it, but now I'm not...
Looks good, but I I'm curious about two things. First is the issue when you set the charging to stop when it reaches 80%, and when getting into the car you realize it is charged to 100%, is it fixed? Second what about the issue when the charging flap refusing to open?
Fun fact. I bought my Enyaq second hand because I could not order one new at the dealers in Bucharest. Also they have no testdrive cars nor any in the showrooms. I feel these electric Skodas are sabotaged from the importer/ dealer level.
Person who designed windshield vipers for Enyaq and this Elroq mostly have similar should use brain next time. Right side viper stop middle of field of view and leave huge streak there.
Wow Matthias, I'm impressed with your development as a presenter! In detail, yet to the point and explained quickly.
The most complete review I have seen and... I have seen quite a few, since I have this car on my radar.
Congratulations and greetings from Spain
Thanks!
Thanks for the review! Hope to see one when driving in really snowy conditions
Those headlight will be fully covered with snow. Assembled too low and closed space without enough heat to keep them clear.
Excellent video review of the Elroq..i have watched them all and this is easily the best and most detailed review of the Elroq. Thank you.

Great review, if I was ready to change my car this would be high on the list.
Thank you for an informative video - as usual. Yes it would be nice with a more detailed video of the software. And in a little slower speed. 😀

The Elroq is nice, but I still find the Enyaq a better fit for me. Also the Crystal Face is a much better look and a bit more spefial on the road.
Great in depth review...well done..!!...personally waiting for the AWD version to appear.
Thanks and I hope 85x comes soon to the markets
Maybe even a vRS..!!..🤞🤞@@electrifiedspeicher

I just bought one, sport line with the Maxx pack and now started 4 months of waiting 🙈

Good choice :)
My favourite so far.

I am curious about how ELROQ compares to OCTAVIA. Especially in the boot space.

They don’t like a Dictator driving one 😉
Will the remote parking come to the Enyaq also? I am on the version 5.2 so not very far from the one on the Elroq.
As far as I know it will come to the ENYAQ but I do not know wether it can be done with an update or if they build in new hardware
I like more black plastic, not paint. Because you no need to worry about it. More practical.
Same..makes more sense to me. Elroq looks all the better for it.
Well black plastic tends to turn grey and it look awful then.
Did this Elroq have a Heatpump?
No, this ELROQ was not equipped with a Heatpump
@electrifiedspeicher that is good. Than with Heatpump, the consumption should be lower.
Person who designed windshield vipers for Enyaq and this Elroq mostly have similar should use brain next time. Right side viper stop middle of field of view and leave huge streak there.
Im not fan of the new Elroq
Looks like a Kia
